Ascendant Across Realities.

Chapter 85: Chapter 3: Meeting Family.

Ignoring the unconscious butt-naked man in the background with foam coming out of his mouth, Lioro looked interestingly at the rusted dagger in his hand.

He came across a very interesting discovery after touching the dagger.

[Touch the weapon·dagger, obtain basic occupation information: Thief."]

『Are you going to get a basic job thief?』

It seems he was also able to get professional from weapons.

"No."

Saying plainly, Lioro placed the dagger inside one of the empty boxes, then looked at the 50 copper coins and 2 silver coins he had just legitimately earned.

In this world, there were copper, silver, gold, and platinum coins.

1 silver= 13 coppers, 1 gold= 1,300 coppers, 1 platinum= 13,000 coppers.

So he just gained 5.8 silver coins.

The expense of a family of four for a month is roughly equal to a gold coin.

'What a poor bastard.', Lioro thought in his mind as he placed the man's clothes inside his prop box.

Walking back he exited the alley and started walking down the familiar route.

His mind started moving, thinking about various things.

'Since Ninya has yet to become an adventurer and Tsuarenīnya Beiron has not been forced into prostitution, It should be about one or two years before The Great Tomb will arrive in this world.'

The noble has started eyeing his eldest sister, so everything after that should take no more than two years.

This gives rise to a very important question.

'How will Ainz treat a fellow traveler in the new world?'

He stopped walking and carefully remembered Ainz's attitude towards the new world.

In the end for Bone King, it all came down to one thing.

The Great Tomb of Nazarick.

As long as its safety and interests are maintained, Ainz can be a pretty chill guy, if you ignore his cautious attitude.

This can be seen especially in the alternate world of Overlord where Ainz alone arrives in the new world some hundred years ago without the great tomb.

In that version, he actually became friends with Evileye, the princess of the fallen kingdom, and roamed the world as an adventurer.

'Even If I reach Lv 100, the chances of me beating the Great Tomb are close to none.'

Not counting the fact that their numbers are far larger, their equipments are of maximum level, something he can only possibly get by raiding the Dragon Kings or the Slane theocracy where the previous players aka old gods once ruled.

It was similar to an extremely poor Lv 100 going against a Krypton gold Lv 100 player who is backed by one of the largest guilds in the server with multiple world items and crazy props like Wish Upon A Star.

'I don't have any negative or positive view about the killing or anything Ainz and his group did.'

He didn't want to be their enemy or their friend.

For him, they can rule the world or whatever they want, as long as they kept that godforsaken disgusting torturer Neuronist away from him!

That thing is disgusting!

'It will be an issue if Ainz thinks of me as a potential danger, though we can also end up becoming friends depending on the situation...'

Lioro frowned, he felt Ainz's attitude would really depend on the situation, and it was hard to grasp it in advance.

'If it doesn't work out then I'll just leave.'

Dimensional traveler.

An amazing special class that didn't exist in Yggdrasil, unique to him along with Jujutsu Sorcerer.

It came with an amazing active skill to travel between worlds, though he needed to pay 5 levels as a cost.

Honestly.

Seems like a pretty good deal.

After walking for some time Lioro appeared before a familiar wooden house.

It was his home in this world, a modest wooden cottage in a quiet, rural settlement named Elbeth located on the outskirts of E-Rantel within the Re-Estize Kingdom.

Due to its remote location and lack of defenses, Elbeth was vulnerable to bandits and corrupt nobles who could act without consequence.

Coming up to the door Lioro was just about to knock when he noticed the door was open.

Raising his hand he quietly pushed the door and entered the place, his eyes observing the dark surroundings.

*sniff*

Hearing the muffled sound, Lioro followed the voice, his gaze landing on the back of a familiar back.

Seeing her body shivering from time to time, Lioro blinked and quietly came behind her, retracting the power of six eyes making his hair turn brown again.

*sniff*

Raising his hand he suddenly patted her shoulder.

"W-who!"

Like a scared cat, Tsuarenīnya jumped up in fright, hurriedly turning around and vigilantly looking at the perpetrator.

"L-Lioro?"

She called out his name in confusion, before suddenly becoming angry.

"You brat! What was that for?!"

Raising her hand she landed a karate chop on his head.

It didn't hurt, but Lioro still played along, rubbing his head as if in pain.

Tsuarenīnya's eyes softened upon seeing his action, raising her hand she gently rubbed his head and said in an apologetic tone.

"I'm sorry Lioro..."

Lioro's eyes fell on the tear strains covering her cheeks, it seemed she had been crying for some time.

As if unaware of his gaze, Tsuarenīnya suddenly wrapped her arms around Lioro and hugged him tightly.

Feeling the warmth emitting from her body, Lioro stood still, feeling awkward and not understanding how to react.

Tsuarenīnya didn't say anything either, she just silently kept hugging him, as if trying to find some sustenance.

The situation of the two sisters, Ninya and Tsuarenīnya was quite unfortunate, they belonged to a farming family, and at a young age, their parents passed away, leaving the two sisters and their young brother to fend for themselves.

Their hardships can only be imagined, being immature themselves they now also have to take care of a baby brother while trying to survive, fortunately, their uncle's family lived in the house nearby, it was because of their help that Lioro along with his two sisters could survive for so long.

That added to the recent instability in the village because the various robbers roaming around made the situation all the worse.

The uncle he just robbed was also one of those outliers, he wasn't a part of their village.

Seeing that Tsuarenīnya was showing no intention of letting go, Lioro opened his mouth before saying in a low voice.

"....Was it the aristocrat?"

Tsuarenīnya's body shook, with a quick movement she distanced herself and grabbed his shoulder, looking at him with serious eyes.

"Where did you hear that from Lioro? Did someone say something?....."

'Were they trying to keep it a secret from their younger brother? so as to not worry him since he was still a kid?.....'

It was understandable.

But Lioro wanted to tell her that the original host of his body wasn't so dumb, with the memories he received he was able to deduce that something was wrong with the noble who kept visiting them constantly these past few days.

Even a child could see it, much less him.

Seeing her dark expression, he moved his mind trying to think of something.

After thinking for a moment, he decided to take advantage of his young age.

Stretching his hands he grabbed her cheeks and stretched them.

Stunning Tsuarenīnya.

"Wha?...."

She suddenly released her grip around his shoulders.

Not giving her time to react, Lioro hurriedly let go of her face and ran out of the house leaving his words behind.

"I am going out to play bye!"

For a moment Tsuarenīnya looked blankly at the empty house.

Then visible anger appeared on her face.

"That brat! You dare tease you're elder sister!"

Raising her arms in protest she waved them around as if imagining hitting a certain innocent lovely child.

Then only a few seconds later she stopped and hugged her knees, feeling lonely and alone, muttering in a small voice.

"What should I do?....."

After coming out of his house, Lioro ran straight towards his uncle's place.

Seeing the familiar figure carrying farm equipment, Lioro ran up to him.

"Oh! Is it Lioro?"

Seeing him, a smile blossomed on the middle-aged man's face, putting down his farm equipment he raised his hand and gently rubbed his head.

Lioro clearly felt his rough and calloused hand.

Edric was a simple man, neither tall nor imposing, but sturdy from years of working the fields. His brown hair was beginning to gray at the temples, and his weathered face bore the quiet marks of a life spent under the sun.

A typical example of a farmer.

Looking at his uncle's sincere expression, Lioro more or less confirmed what he thought before.

The reason his uncle and aunty were so nice to them, apart from being family was because they didn't have children of their own.

...Or maybe they couldn't have children?

Perhaps that is why they showed care for the three siblings, though they were especially considerate towards him compared with his two sisters.

But now wasn't the time to think about family relations.

"Uncle, did you see a rich-looking man with his bodyguard roaming around the place?"

"A rich-looking man...?"

Edric furrowed his brows, remembering someone he had seen earlier who definitely matched the description.

Instantly a bad premonition hit Edric's mind.

"Lioro tell uncle did the rich man visit your home?...."

It had only been a few days since the noble started pestering his sister, since his uncle and aunty worked at the farm all day they didn't know much except for hearing some rumors.

And considering his sister's personalities, they probably didn't tell them either.

Well, knowing the original route, even if they knew, they didn't do much, after all, they were but simple farmers.

"Can you tell me where they went?"

Lioro ignored his question and directly went to the main point.

"Direction.....?"

Edric blinked in confusion before rubbing his chin and pointing towards his left.

"I think they went there----"

"Thanks, uncle! bye!"

Before Edric could react, Lioro took off.

"Hey! Wait!"

Shouting in a hurry, he jumped up on his feet and chased after him.

But then he suddenly noticed something unbelievable.

'When did Lioro get so fast?'

Seeing his diminishing figure in the distance, Edric's mouth hung wide open in disbelief.

----

Using Gojo's experience, Lioro made magic run through his legs, instantly increasing his speed.

His hair turned white as six eyes took effect, instantly reducing his mana consumption to a negligible amount.

Surveying the surroundings, he covered a large distance, reaching the edge of the village.

Suddenly he stopped, his eyes fixed on a guard wearing standard soldier light armor with a sword on his waist, quietly standing outside a wooden house's door.

Since there weren't any obstructions between them, the guard also spotted Lioro.

Seeing that it was only a brat, the guard waved his hand and said in a rough voice.

"Go away kid, there's nothing for you to see here."

Lioro stopped, he could vaguely hear constant muffled sounds coming out of the wooden house.

Letting out a small breath, he glanced at the surroundings making sure that no one was around.

Raising his hand, several balls of cursed energy condensed above his palm.

The sudden scene stunned the guard.

"What?.."

The next moment several small balls rushed straight towards him.

Guard's pupils contracted, and he hurriedly tried to move away, but the cursed balls followed him and pierced through his arms and legs making holes bloody holes appear.

A rush of intense pain rushed through his body, making him open his mouth and scream.

"ARGHH---"

A small fist suddenly appeared before his face and stuck him, breaking his nose, and lose consciousness.

Lioro glanced at the unmoving guard before turning towards the closed wooden door.

"Guard?...."

Hearing the confused voice coming from inside, Lioro raised his leg and slammed the wooden door open.

Ignoring the loud voice made by the door, his gaze landed on the naked skinny man riding on top of a woman, roughly holding her hair.

Her eyes appeared blank.

Seeing the woman's face, he seemed to remember her.

Wasn't she the baker's wife? He remembered her giving the original host a free bread to eat once.

It seems the time to repay the debt has come.
