Chapter 213 Ambitious Imperial People_2
Without breaking through even the top thirty barriers, what qualifications does he have to boast in front of him?
In Cassius's eyes, his real opponent is not Wilhelm, but the Great Demon Lord who has always been hidden behind him, scheming to drag the entire Augustus into Hell — Zareel.
"Great, great, with this power... I should be able to kill that Red Dragon and reclaim Holy Fadlan!"
Wilhelm felt the Hellish power filling his body, laughed unrestrainedly, completely ignoring the surprised and terrified gazes from the people.
But soon, he lowered his head and was shocked to find — his hands had transformed into fearsome claws, and the originally smooth skin had turned like Lava.
"No, how did I become like this? This, this isn't me! I should be flawless, I am the descendant of the Sun God!"
Wilhelm's face first showed shock, then disbelief, and finally transformed into complete wrath and madness.
He swung his six tattered Bat Wings, stirring up a fierce gale, the blood-colored light occupying the sky for thousands of meters around.
"You! You!"
Wilhelm looked toward the distant Red Dragon with venomous eyes, his black eyes bursting with Hellfire: "Red Dragon! You took everything from me! You made me become this!
I will make you pay! I will destroy your Empire! I want to hear your soul wail in Hell!"
Cassius hovered above the Holy Day, coldly watching him like a Judge about to pronounce a death sentence.
"How pathetic, was it me putting a gun to your head, forcing you to sign a pact with that lunatic Zareel?
All of this is merely your own doing, it is you who became blinded by strength, consumed by greed, that led to such a fate."
Cassius's mockery hit Wilhelm's heart like a Longsword, yet the facts were indeed true.
In Cassius's memory, in the storyline of his past life, Wilhelm also signed a pact with Hell in order to maintain strength and obtain eternal life, many players discovered clues of it.
But in that world line, there was no Ashen Empire, Wilhelm could still maintain a dazzling appearance, continuing his nominal role in the Fierce King disputes — Thrace King.
After Cassius ruthlessly exposed him, Wilhelm flew into a rage, letting out a heart-wrenching roar.
"Cassius, I want you dead —"
Wilhelm swung those six tattered Bat Wings again, unleashing a blood-colored storm that swept across the sky.
And he himself transformed into a black specter, sweeping across the sky, carrying a thick black fog and endless hatred, rushing rapidly towards the Red Dragon in the sky.
In an instant, the screeching of souls echoed through the sky!
"Who gave you the courage — to play close-quarters combat with a Red Dragon?" Cassius shook his head, amused, his demeanor relaxed, even his actions were unhurried.
"Swipe —"
The Holy Day lit up again, releasing brilliant rays, instantly dispelling the thick black fog, highlighting Wilhelm's gaunt figure, setting him ablaze, in unbearable pain.
Cassius unleashed a surge of spells with True Dragon Sorcerer sorcery, instantly adding numerous buffing spells onto himself, increasing strength, constitution, and speed greatly.
This sixty-meter-long Red Dragon vibrated its wings, flying over a thousand meters in an instant, accompanying booming sonic explosions, reaching the top of Wilhelm.
The wide Dragon Wings cast shadows, enveloping him completely.
Wilhelm just felt darkness before him, suddenly raising his head, showing fear, his throat trembling: "He, he is clearly a Red Dragon — how could he be so fast?"
However, Cassius did not give him a chance to breathe.
Red Dragon spiraled rapidly in the high sky, gliding, suddenly with an unstoppable momentum pounced downward, easily clutching Wilhelm's two Bat Wings, as effortlessly as a Giant Eagle catching a chick.
Wilhelm roared: "Damn reptile! I am far stronger than you now! I am the Devil's envoy!"
He struggled continuously, attempting to flap his Devil's Wings, Hellfire surged from his eyes and mouth, and the corrupted Spiral Spear stabbed forcefully at the heart of the Red Dragon.
Facing the poured Hellfire, Cassius did not dodge or evade, his body unharmed, seemingly intending to bathe in the flames.
As an Azul Leveled Red Dragon, Elemental Nobility, unless someone like the Prince of Evil Fire level Elemental Archon acted, flames couldn't harm Cassius at all — not even Hellfire.
The Red Dragon also extended its claw, firmly grasping the spear thrust toward its heart.
"Die, die, arrogant reptile..."
Wilhelm's hands trembled, glaring in rage at the enemy close at hand, yet unable to advance the spear even slightly.
Cassius met his gaze, then bared a menacing smile: "Is this the Hellish power you wanted to defeat me? Truly pathetic..."
He suddenly exerted strength, the muscles on his sturdy arms bulged, tendons popped out, and steam white smoke rose from the gaps between scales, even the space fractured under the immense force, releasing groaning cries.
Following this, Sun God Power burst forth, the Red Dragon's giant claw was covered in golden light, and the power grew even stronger.
The Spiral Spear in Cassius's claw shivered continuously, unable to withstand the pressure, cracking apart with a crisp snap after just a few seconds.
A fierce energy storm rapidly expanded, shards of precious metals like Mithril and Meteorite Iron scattered everywhere, sprinkling over the earth.
This sub-divine artifact level spear, weapon inherited for hundreds of years by Thrace Kingdom, symbol of Angel Divine Descendant, was unexpectedly broken by the Red Dragon with one arm!
Near the Sword Bay region are several well-known cities, such as Waterdeep, Elturel, and Neverwinter. Waterdeep is established on the ruins of Elf Empire Ilfaen's capital — Erin Vier, featuring numerous temples of the Divine, Miracle Temple being the most magnificent Magic Goddess Temple in the game, adorned with a grand tower embedded with various paintings and magical decorations, full of lavish Baroque style, and Neverwinter leaning more towards Gothic-style architecture, initially developed as the earliest Human settlement Aegostor after nearly a hundred years, while the main city in the story, Bod Gate, is the largest and most prosperous trade city-state in the Sword Bay region, a hotbed for "conspirators," mixing Nobles, Commoners, Thieves, and Adventurers. The name Bod Gate comes from a Hero, Grey Port Adventurer Bodlan, who once explored the continent beyond Sword Sea, returned with riches to Grey Port, leading a team to establish the city.
Upper City is higher in terrain, composed of Castle District, Temple District, Manoburn District, and Wide Alley District, housing numerous religious buildings, Miracle Hall, and Supreme Miracle House, both serving as the Church center of the God of Craft Gund in Bod Gate; Miracle Hall showcases Gund's great inventions, while Supreme Miracle House also functions as a workshop. Lower District mostly features stone houses, covering six districts: Sea Tower District, Blonrich District, Steep District, Crowded Side District, East Road District, and Branpton District. The middle class generally resides in Blonrich District near the Upper City aristocracy, while East Road District near the Outer City Stone Lizard Gate is relatively more mixed, with numerous lively bars and cheap hotels. Sea Tower District is the base of the Flaming Fist Mercenary Group, located near the largest Rocky Offshore Island in Sea Tower District, where the mercenary group headquarters — Bodlan Sea Tower — is built. Branpton District and Steep District are relatively rundown, home to sailors and laborers. Outer City stretches along the Chongsar River, housing temporary constructions and slums, the landmark being a stone bridge crossing Chongsar River — Flying Dragon Crossroad — bustling with vendors, even widening the bridge with wooden boards, adding several structures on top. Law and order barely exist here, Flaming Fist Mercenary Group's protection range is limited, gathered here are many displaced paupers or criminals.
