Chapter 233 Fallen Sun_3
With no minions to obstruct him, Cassius streaked across the sky like a shooting star, diving downwards and roaring, "Zareel, you will pay for your insolence!"
As the sword blade sliced through the thick sulfur mist, the red pupil of the Red Dragon contracted sharply into a thin line. The tail, covered in a dark red crystal cluster, swept across with a sonic boom. Zareel's wings erupted with a molten gold-like blaze, twisting in the air to dodge the deadly strike. However, the chains wrapped around the sword hilt scraped against the Dragon Scales, sparking dark purple embers. Silver-blue droplets of blood seeped from the cracks of her shoulder Armor, sliding down the Gold-plated Arm Guard and onto the steaming river of Magma, where they splintered into web-like cracks of Red Crystal.
The beast suddenly raised its head and let out a roar that shook the cavern, its flowing flame-like pupil reflecting the blood-stained Feathers of the Angel. Its spiked Dragon Claw suddenly clamped onto the Holy Sword embedded in its chest. Zareel's eyes, as brilliant as molten gold, suddenly shot out blazing light. Her silver hair, singed by the Dragon Breath, wildly danced in the heatwaves. The sound of the sword blade cracking as it wedged into the gaps between the scales was clear. The dark red Dragon Flame accumulated in the Red Dragon's jaw already burned through three main bones of her right wing, but her sharp gaze was fiercer than a sword blade—she suddenly exerted force amidst the searing pain of the Dragon Claw shredding her ribs, spiraling the Holy Light through the sword blade, blasting the Obsidian Armor on the surface of the Dragon Heart into dust.
The dying giant dragon frantically whipped its neck, Molten Lava gushing like a waterfall from its collapsed chest Armor. Zareel's blood-drenched brow furrowed, her eyes deep as quenching stars beneath her Dragon Blood-stained eyelashes. Her damaged wings stirred up a luminous blaze for the last time, forcibly pressing the Red Dragon's final Breath back into its burning throat. When the Holy Sword penetrated the skull, the splattered toxic blood seared a scar on her cheek, yet those eyes reflecting the dragon's corpse falling into the Magma still flowed with an unquenchable golden glow.
The roar of the Red Dragon shattered the charred rock spires as it dove down, a Flame Breath erupting from deep within its throat, hot enough to melt Mithril. But Zareel merely sneered, unfurling her Burning Sky Wings to meet the fiery wave—immunity to flame protected the Hell Lord's body from its lick. She pierced through the red flood like an arrow, and her Great Sword, Slayer of Hope, slashed towards the dragon's neck. The Red Dragon abruptly turned sideways, the blade grazing the Scale Armor, and amid sparks, a blood-stained Dragon Scale was sliced off.
"Your fire is but the echo of Hell's embers!" Zareel's voice overpowered the boiling Magma.
Karascos swung its mountain-like dragon tail, smashing Zarriel into the rock wall, causing a rain of rubble. Yet the Hell Lord retaliated with even greater ferocity—her wings erupted with a Shockwave of flame (Burning Sky Wings), forcing the Red Dragon back. The Dragon Claw tore through her Armor, Molten Iron dripped like blood, but Zarriel's fingers had already clamped onto the dragon's throat, her palm igniting with black flames (Magic-like Hellfire), scorching the dragon's scales.
The Red Dragon struggled, biting her left arm, its sharp teeth piercing the Armor, yet Zarriel took advantage of it, dragging it towards the ground. The two crashed into the river of Magma, sending up a one hundred meter high Lava fountain. The Red Dragon's wings became cumbersome in the viscous Magma, while Zarriel's Great Sword already pierced its chest—the runes of the Purgatory Slash exploded on the blade, Dragon Blood spilled like Molten Gold, corroding the scorched earth into a hissing deep pit.
"Submit, or become the step of my throne!" Zarriel growled, activating the Dominion Will. The Red Dragon's pupils briefly glazed over, its claw frozen in mid-air, but Karascos broke free from the binds with frenzied will, snapping its jaws towards her head. This strike was deflected by Zarriel's wings; charred feathers and Dragon Tooth Fragments flew in all directions.
