Ashen Dragon

Chapter 252 Offensive_2

The blade flashed, and a spurt of blood erupted from the frost giant's nape as its massive body collapsed with a crash.

The player lightly landed on the frost giant's corpse, gripping the long knife and striking a dashing pose, his face breaking into a satisfied smile, "I will definitely, wipe out the giants!"

Immediately after, another grapple shot out, and this player nimbly flew towards another frost giant.

Although this player was less than 1.6 meters tall, and appeared as a tiny insect in front of the nearly ten-meter-tall frost giants, his daily practice had granted him advanced combat skills—especially against giants, making him the nightmare of Tanari Frost Giants.

Meanwhile, in another corner of the battlefield, eighteen martial monks, covered in gold dust and bare-chested, formed a formation. They moved as one, their fists like a mighty wind, indiscriminately striking the surrounding demons.

Wherever these martial monks went, there were demon screams, flying chunks of flesh, and the stench of blood.

At this moment, a six-armed serpent demon burst in, its weapons—great sword, hammer, spear, and more—swinging in turn, instantly turning several martial monks into indistinct fragments, their bodies gruesomely mutilated.

It gazed down at the martial monks with its pitch-black, deep snake eyes, letting out a hoarse laugh, "Tremble, shiver, hate as much as you want, struggle before me... Mortal, how does it feel to witness your comrades die miserably?"

"Hahaha, but don't worry, soon—you will join them!"

The six-armed serpent demon radiated a powerful abyssal pressure, enough to make mortals unable to breathe and even foam at the mouth, scared to death.

Yet, the group of bare-chested martial monks showed no fear or much sorrow; they just stared fixedly at the six-armed serpent demon, their eyes shining with a determined light.

"Fellow brothers, be cautious, this fiend possesses immense mana, not to be underestimated."

"Yes, even our senior brother and third brother fell to its hands, its ruthlessness is... astounding."

"Perhaps only the abbot can kill such a creature, we must unite, delay it, and ensure it cannot escape."

Staring at these bald mortals, the six-armed serpent demon was particularly puzzled, before feeling outraged.

They're not afraid of me!

The sorrow of comrades dying? The fear in the face of death? Why hasn't it tasted any of these wonderful emotions?

The six-armed serpent demon's face turned grim, clenching its teeth, "Arrogant mortals, I will show you—what you are truly up against!"

Corrosive venom sprayed from its mouth, and the six arms swung various blood-stained weapons, striking towards the martial monk players.

Most of these players were below the tenth level and naturally could not contend with such a high-ranking demon as the six-armed serpent demon, suffering severe casualties under its repeated attacks.

"Everyone hold on!"

"Look quickly, it's the abbot!" Suddenly, a martial monk player shouted excitedly, "Abbot, this fiend is formidable, it took out eleven brothers in one go, please, do take action!"

"Bold fiend! I recognized at first glance you're not human!"

A thunderous roar erupted from afar, making the six-armed serpent demon turn its head in surprise.

There appeared a nearly five-meter-tall bald martial monk in the distance, bare-handed, his upper body exposed, his muscles knotted like the gnarled roots of an old tree.

Even more amazing, he had as many as eight arms, each particularly robust, with muscles bulging, lines carved as if by knife and axe.

This was the guild master of the [Shaolin Temple], the strongest martial monk player of Erezer—the Mighty Heavenly Dragon!

Seeing that steel-cast physique, even the six-armed serpent demon paused for a moment, feeling strange.

Is this guy even human?

Compared to humans, this monk seemed more like a humanoid abyssal evil demon.

This moment of distraction allowed the Mighty Heavenly Dragon to seize the opportunity, roaring fiercely, "Fiend, where do you think you're going!"

Dust rose as the towering figure with eight arms leapt forward with unstoppable momentum, arriving before the six-armed serpent demon, and his massive fist slammed heavily into its alluring and enchanting face.

"Boom!"

The six-armed serpent demon spewed filthy blood, being knocked backwards into the rock wall.

What is this strength?

"Brother Heavenly Dragon is awesome!"

"What are you talking about, remember our Shaolin Temple's rules, you must say the Abbot is mighty!"

"The Abbot is mighty!"

"Ignorant mortals, you've angered me, you know nothing of the power of the abyss!" The six-armed serpent demon was furious, its weapon-equipped six arms now surrounded by a layer of dark red flame.

Burning blades swept through the air as if to tear and burn everything in front of it.

"Audacious stunt, how dare you show off in front of an expert?!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The Mighty Heavenly Dragon was unafraid, consecutively delivering hundreds of punches, stirring up ferocious winds that pulverized the flaming blades.

Next, he propelled himself, his body turning into a blurry afterimage amidst a gust of wind, and he charged towards the six-armed serpent demon with his eight fists.

The six-armed serpent demon raised its head in astonishment, only to see countless fists carrying a fierce wind, like a rainstorm, pummeling her body relentlessly.

"Boom!"

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

The Mighty Heavenly Dragon's face was filled with rage, like a wrathful golden steel, and those eight arms turned into countless afterimages, delivering hundreds of punches in just a few breaths.

Filthy blood and fragments of rock flew everywhere, the shattered stones turned to powder hanging in the air.

"The Abbot is divine, vanquishes demons and evil!"

"No wonder he's the Abbot!"

The nearby monks who were watching the fight were thrilled, full of admiration, this was the ideal form of a monk in their eyes—simple unadorned fists, a smooth head, and extreme violence!

However, just then, a wave of chaos released from the center of the six-armed serpent demon, instantly blasting the Mighty Heavenly Dragon ten meters away.

The Mighty Heavenly Dragon half-knelt on the ground, watching the distant abyssal fog with a solemn expression, "This fiend isn't dead yet..."

Just then, a piercing howl echoed in the sky.

The sound was hoarse and layered, like the hissing of hundreds of cobras.

"Mortals!"

"You've truly angered me! I will let you witness—the wrath of the abyss!"

Currently, Baldur's Gate is governed by a council of four, all of whom are Grand Dukes, with one as the leader of the council. If a vote results in a tie, Grand Duke Elder Ravenclaw makes the decision. Law enforcement in the Upper City is handled by the elite official police force, the Watch, while the rest of the city is policed by a mercenary group known as the "Flaming Fist," whose highest leader is also Grand Duke Elder Ravenclaw. The mercenary group's headquarters is located at the Bodlan Sea Tower, the strongest fortress in Baldur's Gate against sea invasions, while Gray Harbor, like a crescent around Baldur's Gate, is the economic lifeline, with hundreds of merchant ships entering and exiting daily, bringing gold as well as greed and sin.

The Upper City sits high, composed of the Castle District, Temple District, Manoburn District, and Wide Alley District, with numerous religious buildings: the Miracle Hall and the Supreme Miracle House serve as the church centers for the God of Craft, Gund, in Baldur's Gate. The Miracle Hall showcases Gund's great inventions, while the Supreme Miracle House also functions as a workshop. The Lower District mostly consists of stone buildings across six districts: the Sea Tower District, Blonrich District, Steep District, Crowded Side District, East Road District, and Branpton District. The middle class often resides in the Blonrich District, adjacent to the Upper City's nobility, while the East Road District, near Stone Lizard Gate connecting the Outer City, is more chaotic, filled with bustling bars and cheap inns. The Sea Tower District houses the Flaming Fist Mercenary Corps, with their headquarters built on the largest rocky offshore island, the Bodlan Sea Tower. The Branpton and Steep Districts are relatively dilapidated, home to sailors and manual laborers. The Outer City is spread along the Chongsar River, with makeshift structures and slums. Its landmark is a stone bridge spanning the Chongsar River—the Flying Dragon Crossroad, bustling with vendors and expanded with wooden boards to accommodate buildings. Law and order are virtually nonexistent here, with even the Flaming Fist Mercenary Corps having limited protection. Many displaced poor or criminals gather here.
