Chapter 266: Dragon Battle
Tiniya first tilted her head in confusion, then quickly understood the intent of this female Red Dragon. Her fury erupted, and her face twisted in rage.
The White Dragon was aware of her racial disadvantages and often felt inferior because of it.
Yet, Volcanis would mock her incessantly, even claiming she would bear offspring for her master — it was nothing short of blatant humiliation and provocation.
Damn Red Dragon!
Her master had taught her the lesson of setting an example by punishing a chicken to warn the monkeys. If she was to establish her authority among these female dragons, she would start with this reckless, arrogant Red Dragon!
"Roar——"
Anger gleamed in Tiniya's deep Dragon's Eyes. She opened her mouth to roar, and suddenly a gale howled, releasing a terrifying chill.
"Volcanis! Who told you that I am an Ancient White Dragon? Compared to me, you are the one who is a relic!"
"I am Tiniya, Duke of Glacial, the most loyal retainer of the great Ashen Empire's Emperor. I am here under my master's orders, representing the ultimate will of the Emperor!"
The White Dragon's roar echoed in the sky, and feeling the powerful fluctuations of Ice Magic, all the female dragons present were taken aback, their expressions growing solemn.
"Such power... how is it possible?"
"Is she really a White Dragon? How can an adult White Dragon have such a physique!"
"And such spellcasting ability... it's probably reached the level of an Ancient White Dragon! I've never seen a White Dragon achieve such a degree!"
The giant dragons are born magic creatures, with innate talents extremely sensitive to the flow of magic power.
Almost all the female dragons could sense the incredible strength contained within that graceful white dragon body — even Volcanis was no exception.
"Something is off with this White Dragon!"
Feeling that fluctuation, even Volcanis was momentarily stunned, and her lightheartedness gradually collected, though she maintained her proud demeanor.
An inferior adult White Dragon, a beast of the Ice Field, how could it possess such strength?
Suddenly, a peculiar thought arose in Volcanis's mind.
It was His Highness, the Dragon Prince! Under the favor of that prince, even an inferior White Dragon could possess such power. What astonishing power would a noble Red Dragon like her receive if graced?
With that thought, Volcanis's golden pupils gleamed with greed as she lifted her head to gaze at the enraged White Dragon in the sky.
"As expected, these lower-class White Dragons are only fit to be slaves to us Red Dragons, not worthy of standing on equal footing with us."
"Tiniya, you are too rude, for I am to be your future mistress." The Red Dragon's voice was filled with an assured confidence of possession.
Hearing this, Tiniya's fury soared even higher, and she laughed in anger: "Don't indulge in delusions. An old dragon who can't even beat me, how could you possibly be qualified to unite with the Emperor?"
Upon hearing this, the veins on Volcanis's forehead bulged, eyes bursting with flames: "Despicable white beast! I will show you — what true power is!"
The Red Dragon flapped her broad Dragon Wings, soaring into the air, accompanied by scorching flames as she charged towards the White Dragon in the sky, her actions brimming with strength.
"Then come and try, fool!" Tiniya lifted her head and let out a long howl, suddenly spreading her wings. Gales surged, snowstorms flew, and the surrounding air suddenly turned cold.
Watching the impending battle, the Green Dragon and Blue Dragon flocks held their forces, observing the situation unfold.
Vesuvius exchanged a glance with the accompanying Green Dragon, both revealing sinister smiles — the most standard evil grin of the Green Dragons.
This White Dragon seemed extraordinarily powerful, far surpassing those weak and foolish kin of hers.
Yet Volcanis, as a formidable adult Red Dragon with a notorious reputation, was not an easy foe, definitely a match for that White Dragon.
Once these two fools, mere possessors of strength lacking brains, were worn out in their conflict, it would be the Green Dragons' chance to launch a sneak attack and seize the victory.
Though... they still had to deal with those tricky Blue Dragons.
With this thought, Vesuvius turned to look at Christina, with a malevolent gleam in her eyes.
Similarly, Christina was assessing the situation. She noticed the gaze of the Green Dragon and met it unflinchingly, eyes fierce.
But soon, a thunderous roar of air breaking reached them from the sky, and both the Green and Blue Dragons raised their heads to look towards the sky, where fiery light reflected in their eyes.
Volcanis had made her move!
"White Dragon, tremble before the flames!" The giant Dragon's roar was earth-shattering.
The Red Dragon reared up, gathering the energy from within and spewed out a cone of flame breath. The orange-red flames cascaded like a waterfall, distorting the air.
"Boom!!"
The power of Volcanis's breath was immense; each tongue of flame could easily burn a mortal soldier to death, even scorching city walls.
In her wrath, she had once turned a southern town into scorched earth, leaving only magma, with no one surviving the devastation.
This was the origin of Volcanis's title, "The Tyrant of Flowing Magma."
Yet, watching the surging flames and feeling the heat surging forward, Tiniya found it somewhat laughable, even failing to react immediately.
Was this what she was so proud of as her Flame Breath?
Or perhaps... could this even be called breath?
Too weak.
Tiniya had seen Cassius melt city walls over a hundred meters high with his breath.
She had also witnessed him turning an overwhelming magic tide into ashes with flames, and had even personally seen Cassius unleash a pillar of fire piercing the sky, standing against divine punishment.
