Chapter 134: Chapter 134- The Wedding.
~~~Third Person, Ninth Moon, 277 AC~~~
~~~Casterly Rock~~~
The day had come, the reason why the great lords of Westeros had traveled was taking place in front of everyone, the great hall of Casterly Rock, one of the largest halls in Westeros, was full of people, all dressed in their most expensive and beautiful finery, the women wore dresses richly embroidered with Myr lace, matching expensive and heavy jewels that hung from their heads or necks.
The men, on the other hand, wore coarser garments, doublets of silk and wool for the wealthier, or cotton for the more cash-strapped, in the place there were easily more than a hundred people, but thanks to the huge windows at both ends of the hall, which let in the soft, dry breeze from the sea, it caused there to be no heat.
The royal family was seated at a large table located at the far left end of the hall, a table at which Valka was also seated, both sides chatting and eating snacks from time to time, waiting for the ceremony to begin.
"Lord Tywin sure knows how to throw a wedding," Valka said to Rhaella in charismatic mode, to which she only chuckled but nodded, "The man must be very excited about his engagement, it is still time and I am surprised he has decided to remarry, after Lady Joanna's unfortunate demise, I thought he would decide to stay alone, but the gods work in ways unknown and have allowed him to find someone to fill that void."
"Yes, Lady Janna is a very intelligent and capable woman, the two of them will make a strong couple, I am very sure they will complement each other very well" In the middle of Valka's words, Aerys' amused laughter could be heard, he was, to Rhaella's surprise, chatting with Rhaegar, and from the looks of things, they were both enjoying themselves.
"I hadn't had a chance to thank you," Rhaella commented to Valka, taking her hand and squeezing it a little, "thank me?" Valka was confused, and a little uneasy due to the physical touch, "yes, thank you, both of you, since your arrival, Aerys has been better, resting more, attending to his family issues, and the flight with Azrael on dragon no doubt improved his spirits, thank you for that."
Valka, however, dismissed the thanks, since in itself they were just behaving normally, "there is nothing to thank, as for King Aerys, I am glad for his condition, and may their gods be pleased to allow their good relationship to endure."
At that moment, the doors to the hall opened, revealing a man wearing brown robes and looking haughty, "welcome the High Septon," the herald of the ceremony, announced the arrival of the Septon, a fat, sweaty man who looked more like a pig on two legs than a man. His hair was already receding from his forehead, and he tried to hide it with a crown made of crystal on his head.
The High Septon, nicknamed the fat one, walked to the front of the hall, where he stood waiting, until through the same doors he had entered before, a new silhouette could be seen.
Tywin Lannister, the Lion of the Rock, arrived in all his glory, his face stoic and his gaze set straight ahead, "Welcome Lord Tywin Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, Lord Paramount of Westerland and Hand of the King!"

"You look beautiful, Janna, worthy to represent Xandar in Westeros, your parents would be very happy to see you," Azrael said to Janna as the two stood together.
They were both in an anteroom near the great hall, a place that was being used by them to prepare for what would mark a change in Janna's life. "Thank you, Your Majesty, it is an honor to have you present at my wedding," Janna said with a beaming smile, "and yes, my parents indeed are."
Azrael nodded, then approached a table in the room on which stood a beautifully decorated chest, under Janna's watchful eye, Azrael opened the chest and its interior came into view.
In the sun's rays, the object inside the chest glowed, enhancing its form and prestige. "The Crown of mīsagon," Azrael said, pulling the crown from the padded interior of the chest.
The Xandarian Crown was the nominal head of a family of each noble house in Xandar and thus was the one who decided whether a marriage of any of the members of these was completed or not, but without deciding or seeking spouses for these, in short, you could decide who would be your future husband or wife, but this would become a reality only if the Xandarian Crown, in this case, Azrael and very soon Valka, saw the right commitment.
That is why the so-called Crown of mīsagon was created, which in High Valyrian meant protection. The crown, with small details that represented aspects of Xandar and five peaks as pillars around the ring representing each of the cities that so far made up Xandar, was made entirely of gold, making it a supremely valuable object, not so much for the gold but for what it meant.
And that was that at the time of the wedding, the crown was to be worn by the member of the nobility who would be marrying, and if it was two nobles, then the twin crown of this one would be worn, the symbolism represented that the Xandarian Crown was protecting and anointing the union, which was a beloved new tradition.
Janna bent down slightly and allowed Azrael to place the crown on her head, heralding the closure of her bachelorhood process, to be anointed by the king in her betrothal, which made her eyes water. "Come on, don't cry, you don't want to ruin your face, do you?" Azrael told her.
To then offered her his left arm, which Janna gladly took, as her parents were not present, it was Azrael's turn to escort her to the spot, something Janna graciously accepted. "Ready?" He asked, and a nod from Janna was the answer. Together they walked until they reached the entrance of the great hall, where everyone was already standing waiting for her.
"Please welcome Lady Janna Betchen, future lady of Casterly Rock!" The herald announced her arrival, and the murmurs and whispers were not long in coming. Janna, instead of wearing a white-hued gown as was customary, Janna wore something completely different.
A dress with tight-fitting dark brown sleeves that went down to her ankles, with a metal plate corset made of gold that covered her breasts, accentuated her figure and ended open at the end at her hips, and to top it off, she wore shoulder pads, made of gold and in the shape of lily leaves, the flowers that were her favorite.
The two shoulder pads were attached to a wide necklace that covered the sides of her neck and collarbones, then went up to cover the back of her neck and opened like a blooming flower. On her hands, gold accessories that looked like claws were on her fingers, as she clutched a gold scepter with her right hand.

Which accompanied by the coppery brown cloak on her back, and the Crown of mīsagon, made her look radiant and proud.
The two continued walking without worrying about the murmurs of others, for Janna, rooted to the Dothraki culture, getting married wearing a plain dress was disrespectful, and while she would have liked to wear armor as was her preference, she decided in the end for her worn attire.
But as she came to where Tywin stood waiting for her, she couldn't help but be more correct about her attire, for Tywin wore a proud and sincere smile on his face, and paired with his attire, it would have seemed as if they had both agreed to wear similar attire.
Tywin did decide to wear armor, The Lion of the Rock sported the armor of one of the ancient heroes, ceremonial plate armor with engravings of the lion of his banner on the breastplate, shoulder pad, and breeches, which coupled with the cloak he wore tight to his body over his left shoulder, made him look like royalty.

"Lord Tywin, I bring to your arms the Lady Janna," Azrael said to Tywin, then looked at Janna, "Lady Janna, I have brought her to Tywin Lannister, may their union bear fruit, be lasting, and bring pride and power to both parties."
With that said, Azrael walked away and walked to the table where Valka was seated along with the royal family, standing next to Valka, awaiting the ceremony.
