Avatar: Mage of All Elements

Chapter 79: Chapter 79

I looked at the man in his fifties and thought, if I threw him out the window, would he get hurt a lot or not so much? Hmm... a dilemma. It turned out to be a lot. Huh. Why is everything so complicated?

«No», I said again, «And if you don't leave now, I'll help you.»

He had no choice and so he left with his lips pressed together. I've been here for a year now, and people keep coming in and asking me to train the Avatar. I'm a kind person. And when I'm not angry, sometimes even peaceful. But sometimes I regret my actions. If I had done what Azula did, I wouldn't have had a problem.

She burned a man's hands and feet as soon as he mentioned training an Avatar. I had to heal him, of course, but everyone got the message. And they were all over me. And I'm running out of patience. There was a time. I beat up an Avatar and they stayed away from me for 40 years. Aang died, and a few years later, they've forgotten all about it, and they're ask me again.

But the little one is funny. She's growing up to be a real ruler. I don't know if it's intentional or not, but she acts like everything she wants comes true, and she looks so innocent that it's hard to believe.

Azula fell for it at first, but then she realized it and stopped. But she did! Azula! I noticed too, but with a little play I did not stop, but only limited the wishes, and sometimes twisted them so that she regretted her request ten times over. In general, I taught her wisdom.

Also with my stepfather everything was funny. He turned out to be a waterbender, so I decided to test him. Not just any waterbender, but with all his imagination. A little far away, he built a three-dimensional maze. Not a big one, about a hundred meters by a hundred meters. I snuck into his bedroom at night, pulled him out, blocked his magic, and threw him at the beginning of the maze. There was a light. From a torch. One. So I gave him a 3D horror movie.

There were no monsters and nothing to frighten him. But the shadows played, in a strange way, and sometimes something flashed in the periphery of his vision. And the sounds were strange. In short, it tested him. And although he was a little gray, he came out of the labyrinth. Within 24 hours. So I knocked him out, unlocked his magic and put him back where I found him.

And how much screaming there was in the morning, because we both disappeared, and in 24 hours, just as we disappeared, we suddenly found ourselves.

One a little gray and the other terribly happy. Anyway, now I was running away from my mother, through her town. Payback is sweet! Boo-ga-ga! That's how I laughed and ran away from her. Anyway, now she's got people telling their kids scary stories about me. But I was so happy. Azula was just mad that I didn't take her with me.

She wanted to be a monster. Anyway, I promised her I'd take her next time. My mom overheard my promise and we had a second day of catching up.

But we soon settled down. The little girl had worked her magic. Water, of course. But we had a lot of fun. We even had a feast. Anyway, we went out for a week. People from the order were always hanging around me, trying to get me drunk.

I had to stay sober the whole week. I only drink wine. And that's on a holiday. This is a bummer. Anyway, I'm sick of them., so I picked one up and threw it through the window. Headfirst. And this is in a palace. Where there are no windows. About the eighth floor. How he didn't kill himself, I don't know, but he survived. They said he was even cured.

Then an old man came in and gave me a hard time. He said it wasn't a nice thing to do. He was from the order too, so I threw him out the window. Half a year of peace and here they are again, like a few months running to me.

Why did I build a house on a rock again? I could've lived in my mother's mansion and lived happily ever after. But I felt sorry for her. I'm fine, but Azula... She doesn't want to lower her voice on principle.

Anyway, I took pity on them and suggested they build a house a little further away from the palace. Everyone agreed with the idea. Even some of the villagers.

So in a few days, a lot of materials were brought in and I got to work. I didn't get fancy. I decided to build a house like the one on the island. And the fact that there were no rocks around didn't bother me at all. In just one week, a hundred meter high cliff grew up just outside the town. And on top of it I built an exact copy of my house. Of course, I had to make laminated glass and seriously approach to thermal insulation, but I managed it.

Two weeks of work and the house is ready. But no one stays there for long. Because I take everyone to the bottom floor, where the floor is transparent and you can see the whole cliff. It's mesmerizing. Just for me and Azula. Everyone else is uncomfortable, to say the least. Even the Order has become less frequent. We like it, and the rest doesn't matter.
