Chapter 485: 183, after fighting for a whole three years, we can finally determine the winner!_2

“As long as Chen Shanhe arrives, I can guarantee that it will be a one-way trip for him!”

Li Jinwen had never doubted Lin Mo’s abilities, not in the past, and even less so now.

She just thought for a moment before saying, “Honey, I have a concern and I don’t know if I should mention it.”

Lin Mo nodded, “Go ahead, our family was able to escape from Rakshasa City, from East Sea City, and later on from Grand Xia Country, and it wasn’t just my doing in all of this.”

“In fact, every member of our family, including our daughter Xiaoxiao and Lin Xi, has provided a lot of help in the battle to protect our home.”

“Without a clever brain, we couldn’t have made it out, but just having a clever brain, if it weren’t for the mutual help and support of the family, we likely couldn’t have persevered either.”

Lin Mo was not comforting Li Jinwen; it was the truth.

If it wasn’t for the family’s mutual assistance, just the half day it took to cross the border in Northern Sea City could have resulted in casualties.

The journey had been incredibly difficult.

There was the primeval forest, and at times various venomous animals, as well as marshes that were everywhere, deep in one step and shallow in another. Each one was a huge roadblock.

Luckily, they had persevered and made it to this point.

Now, Li Jinwen had a lot on her mind. She organized her thoughts before speaking, “I think, since Chen Shanhe can control the King of Japan from behind the scenes, the resources at his disposal must be massive.”

“Although I don’t know exactly how you helped Hester become a Duke, I’m worried that Hester could be tempted by his interests and choose to help Chen Shanhe against you.”

“Our family may be very wealthy now, but we surely can’t compare with the treasury of a country, right?”

In fact, she didn’t even know how much money the family actually had, not even an approximate figure.

She just knew that Lin Mo was very good at making money and had made significant achievements in many industries in America using many false identities.

But she felt that no matter how substantial their family fortunes were, they couldn’t be compared to those of a country.

In America, the notion that interests come first was very popular,

meaning if Chen Shanhe could offer something to make Hester’s heart flutter, then her husband might find his advantage turn into a disadvantage in an instant.

If Li Jinwen could think of this issue, how could Lin Mo not have considered it?

However, he couldn’t let his wife know about the Intelligence System, so he couldn’t explain to her how deep his control over the American Duke really was.

Frankly, even if Chen Shanhe could move Japan’s national treasury here, as long as Lin Mo didn’t nod his head, Johnson Hester wouldn’t dare to accept this immense wealth.

There was no need to worry about this at all.

Lin Mo smiled and said, “Just put your heart at ease; I can handle it. We’ve been entangled for so many years; it’s time for a conclusion.”

“We’ve been entangled for so long, it’s time for a result.”

Li Jinwen nodded, gave him a kiss on the cheek, and just as she was about to say something more, she heard Lin Mo’s phone ring.

Lin Mo picked up the phone and saw the caller was none other than Johnson Hester.

“Talk about speaking of the devil, just as we were discussing him, he calls.”

Lin Mo gently patted Li Jinwen’s back, signaling her to get up, and then he withdrew his arm, took the phone from the nightstand, and with a light slide of his thumb, answered the call.

“Hello, is that you?” Johnson Hester’s voice came through.

Lin Mo: “Yes, go ahead.”

Once sure it was indeed Lin Mo’s voice, Hester excitedly said, “Mr. Lin, your plan has been successful. According to the CIA’s tracking and undercover agents, they have seen with their own eyes Chen Shanhe boarding the private jet to America, and in a few hours, he should land.”

“If you’re not too busy with other matters, you can come to my office now and quietly wait for his arrival.”

After hearing this, Lin Mo’s lips curved into a slight smile of relief.

After a full three years of struggle, a victor was finally about to emerge!

“Wait for me in the office, I’ll be over in a while!”

Lin Mo hung up the phone, agilely got out of bed, and looking at Li Jinwen on the bed, said, “Honey, Chen Shanhe has arrived, I need to go and meet him. You all should rest early and don’t worry about me!”

“Remember to tell Mom and Dad that if I haven’t returned by 8 o’clock tomorrow morning, you all must leave America immediately according to the emergency plan,”

After so many years of constant manipulation and struggle, Lin Mo had long grown accustomed to preparing for the worst in every situation.

Although the possibility of Johnson Hester betraying him was virtually zero, Lin Mo would make another set of preparations as long as the real probability wasn’t exactly zero.

It was the same with tonight’s decisive battle.

If they could successfully control Chen Shanhe, that would be cause for universal rejoicing, but if they couldn’t, or if any other problems arose, Lin Mo wouldn’t have to worry about his family’s evacuation or the security of their lives thereafter.

Li Jinwen didn’t try to persuade Lin Mo to stay or refuse to leave without him.

Because the backup plan had already been prepared by Lin Mo, and he had even conducted several drills with his family, going over everything that needed to be explained more than once.

The resistance from his family that had been there before was essentially gone now.

Li Jinwen understood even more that what her husband needed now was absolute calm; since they couldn’t help much, they certainly couldn’t become an obstacle for him.

“Okay, if you haven’t left by 8 o’clock tomorrow, I will take the family and evacuate,”

Li Jinwen also got up from the bed, struggling to contain the worry and fear in her heart, and said with a smile, “Let me help you take a bath. When meeting important people, it’s always good to freshen up.”

That one sentence immediately pulled Lin Mo’s thoughts back to his university days.

Back then, they were young and often acted childishly in what they said and did.

And every time he went to see Li Jinwen, he would clean up from head to toe, then take out the money he’d earned from a part-time job, and they would go shopping or do other things together.

In the blink of an eye, more than a decade had passed, and Lin Mo was no longer the naïve young man he once was.

He nodded with a smile and said, “You’re right, I’ll take a bath. You can just help me scrub my back later.”

Li Jinwen nodded lightly and followed Lin Mo into the bathroom.

About half an hour later, Lin Mo, now freshly bathed, changed into his most expensive suit. After bidding farewell to Li Jinwen, he dialed his subordinate’s number, instructing them to prepare the car for the palace, and notified them that the previously discussed plan could now commence.

Not only was Chen Shanhe mobilizing troops and gathering various intelligence, preparing for his upcoming meeting with the Duke of America,

Lin Mo had had a complete plan in place two years before, knowing exactly what to do after Chen Shanhe boarded the special plane.

If it was to be a decisive battle, it needed to look like one.

In nearly two years, Lin Mo had gathered tens of thousands of intelligence reports, which included nearly all of Chen Shanhe’s trusted followers and lieutenants.

Once Chen Shanhe arrived in America, Lin Mo’s men would begin a bloody slaughter of Chen Shanhe’s subordinates.

Not a single one could be spared,

Lin Mo had no desire to live a life of defeating the minor players only for the major ones to crop up, and once the major ones were dealt with, new problems springing up.

If he was going to make a move, it had to be thorough, to completely and permanently ensure Chen Shanhe could never recover.

Under the shroud of night, a nondescript van was speeding down the roads of America. Inside, Lin Mo was still arranging the next steps of the plan and informing his subordinates of the potential scenarios that might follow.

After making arrangements for his men, Lin Mo picked up his phone and called Zhang Li.

Beep… beep beep…

The call was quickly answered, with the sounds of various guns firing in the background.

Clearly, he was likely at a private security firm, training with his elite subordinates.

Undoubtedly,

Zhang Li’s ability to lead a team was outstanding, and the top and middle management of the security company were almost entirely composed of once-famous mercenaries.

To gather such people under one’s command was no easy feat.

And because of his exceptional security forces, they had attracted many clients with security needs over the past two years.

Washington D.C. could already consider it a sizable power.

Once it quieted down a bit on the other end of the phone, Lin Mo spoke in a grave voice, “Zhang Li, Chen Shanhe has come to America. Have you completed the tasks I assigned to you?”
