Chapter 114: Chapter 108: The Beach House
The scenery along the way in Yalang City wasn't much different from other cities.
However, compared to Dongyun City, where Lin Lan and the German sisters had just come from, the people at the docks and on the streets were mostly ordinary citizens of Orlan.
There were few from the Liao Continent.
It wasn't surprising, considering Yalang City was one of the six East China Sea cities on the Western Continent, with less convenient transportation and a more remote location.
Naturally, fewer people from the Liao Continent came here for work compared to other cities.
After a half-hour drive, just as Lin Lan started to doze off, they finally arrived at the seaside scenic spot at ten o'clock.
This wasn't the peak tourist season, and with the Siren disaster, fewer people were brave enough to visit the beach, so the area was relatively quiet.
In this seaside resort, there were luxurious, spacious cottages, unmanned automated shops, clean beaches, and a variety of ornamental plants.
Lin Lan and his girls stepped out of the car, and the service staff greeted them with a smile.
"A total of ten people. Find us a villa with a nice view by the sea, and pre-rent it for three days," Lin Lan instructed.
In the United States of Åland, renting a seaside villa for a few days was something Lin Lan could easily afford.
Since they were already here, he decided they might as well stay somewhere nice and not be stingy.
Plus, being near the sea would make it more convenient for his ship girls to launch their attacks.
"Understood, please follow me, VIP," said the young service staff member, clearly a bit nervous upon seeing Lin Lan and his party of ship girls, each beautiful and distinct.
She quickly recognized Lin Lan as a port commander.
It wasn't often one saw such striking women, who clearly weren't ordinary humans, unless they were ship girls from Orlan.
With great respect, she led them to a villa that looked extremely luxurious. After Lin Lan instructed not to be disturbed, he and his party entered the villa's courtyard.
The villa faced a private beach and the ocean. The sea breeze was refreshing, and the starry sky reflected off the water, making Lin Lan feel at peace.
"Stop staring and take us inside already!" Agir teased, pushing Lin Lan forward.
"You're always in such a rush," Lin Lan replied with a chuckle before opening the villa's main entrance.
The moment he turned on the lights, Lin Lan couldn't help but feel that the price was well worth it.
The hall was lavishly furnished with polished floors, elegant furniture, and expensive decorations.
The two-story villa had many small rooms, presumably bedrooms and other amenities.
Even Zeppelin nodded in approval.
"It's been a long day. Everyone, feel free to explore," Lin Lan said with a smile.
"I feel like I could make a lot of money building villas like this in the port area," Akashi mused, looking around thoughtfully.
"You've already got your hands in so many hot spring resorts; do you really need more?"
Lin Lan laughed, knowing Akashi had invested in several businesses in the game, including hot spring resorts and beach activities.
"I want to take a bath! Where's the bathroom?" Lützov called out, hugging a pillow as she wandered off to explore the rooms.
Spee, Mainz, Brunhilde, and Weser followed suit, laughter filling the air.
Lin Lan, on the other hand, sank into a large red sofa in the hall. The yacht's couch was far smaller, and this villa's sofa could easily fit four or five people lying down.
Zeppelin, Agir, and Z46 joined Lin Lan, sitting beside him, uninterested in exploring the rooms.
"Ah, a TV! I haven't watched one in ages. Where's the remote?"
Lin Lan asked aloud, spotting the large screen on the wall.
He hadn't watched TV since leaving the academy, aside from once in the hospital.
Z46 quietly handed him the remote.
"Thank you, Leonie," Lin Lan said, patting her head affectionately.
"You keep saying you're not a chibicon, but you're acting just like Ark Royal," Agir teased, stretching out beside Lin Lan with a sly smile.
"I'm nothing like Ark Royal! Don't lump us together!" Lin Lan shot back, pressing the remote to turn on the TV.
The familiar sight of a commercial filled the screen.
"Still wondering what weapons to buy to defend yourself? Worried about running into a Siren? Look no further! Battleaxe Military Weapons have what you need—guaranteed!" the announcer exclaimed.
"Ugh, bad luck. Let's find something else," Lin Lan muttered, flipping the channel.
Just as he was about to settle on the news, a sudden exclamation echoed from upstairs.
"What happened?" Lin Lan leaped up, running toward the stairs, with Zeppelin, Agir, and Z46 following closely behind.
Reaching the second floor, they found Mainz and Weser already standing in the hallway, looking just as confused.
"Such a big bathroom! It's amazing!" Lützov's excited voice echoed down the hall, making Lin Lan shake his head.
He walked toward the bathroom, grumbling, "Isn't it just a bathroom? Wait… wow, this is huge!"
The bathroom was indeed impressive, designed with projection equipment that created the illusion of a wild hot spring.
Steam rose from the clear water, which filled a pool-like tub, creating an incredibly immersive atmosphere.
Agir, Zeppelin, and the others stepped in, just as amazed.
"Commander, we should totally renovate the bathrooms in the port area to be like this!" Lützov suggested, her arms wrapped around a small black shark pillow.
Lin Lan, still stunned, was about to respond when a small green figure popped up behind him.
"Meow, leave it to me! The commander's got it all handled," Akashi chirped, inspecting the holographic projection equipment.
"This is a great idea—turning bathrooms into natural environments with projection equipment. I've found a new way to make money, meow!"
Lützov glared at her. "You profiteer! You're even going to charge for this? Commander, make her stop!"
Lin Lan chuckled, shaking his head. "It takes a lot of work to set this up. It's only fair to charge a little, right?"
Lützov stared in disbelief, while Akashi beamed, hugging Lin Lan tightly.
"The commander really is the best, meow!"
But Lin Lan's next words wiped the smile from her face.
"So, Akashi, since I've given you this brilliant idea, how about you give me a share of the profits once you start renovating the port's bathhouses?"
