Azurael Shunyaviel: Infinite Source Of All Creation And Destruction

Chapter 5: Wall Of Dominion

Zar sighed, running a hand through his hair as he stared at the endless abyss around him.

"Now… how should I find my palace?" he muttered. "Hmm… let me think."

The system had dumped him here without any real directions. No clear path, no map—just vague coordinates that he didn't even know how to read.

Annoying.

But there had to be a way. Even if his realm was sealed, he still had some power. Right?

"Alright," he said, clenching his fist. "Let's start with my speed."

Speed was a solid foundation. If he could move fast enough, he could cover more ground, test his control over his abilities, and—if lucky—stumble upon something useful.

Taking a deep breath, Zar focused.

His instincts kicked in. He bent his knees slightly, preparing to launch himself forward, muscles tensing in anticipation. His body felt light, weightless, as if gravity had no hold over him.

Then—

BOOM!

The moment he pushed off, the void around him shattered.

A sonic boom erupted as he shot forward, his body moving far beyond what his mind could initially process. The glowing orbs around him blurred into streaks of light, stretching and distorting like warped stars. The sheer force of his acceleration tore through space itself.

His eyes widened. "Holy—!"

He barely had time to adjust before the momentum exploded even further. He was moving at speeds he had never experienced before, faster than sound, faster than light—faster than he should have been able to move.

And yet—

He had no control.

"Shit, shit, shit, SHIT!"

His body was a bullet without a trajectory. He twisted midair, trying to stabilize himself, but the laws of physics here were different. There was no resistance, no wind, no friction—just endless acceleration.

Then—

A massive celestial structure appeared ahead.

A towering, glowing construct—radiating energy, carved with inscriptions of a forgotten language.

Zar's stomach dropped.

"That's a wall."

And he was about to crash into it.

He had less than a second to react. Instinct kicked in—

He braced for impact.

Zar had no time to think—only to act.

The massive celestial wall loomed closer, glowing symbols pulsating across its surface. If he hit it at his current speed, he wasn't sure if he'd survive.

"Damn it!"

His instincts screamed at him, and at the last moment, he did the only thing he could—he forced his body to stop.

Power surged through him, an unfamiliar force awakening from deep within. His veins burned like molten fire, his muscles tensed beyond their limit, and for a brief moment—

Time itself slowed.

Everything around him stretched into eternity. The distant lights became frozen streaks in the void. The glow of the celestial wall dimmed into a slow pulse.

But even with this momentary control, stopping himself entirely was impossible. He could only shift his trajectory—just enough to avoid a fatal impact.

With a desperate twist of his body—

BOOM!

His shoulder clipped the edge of the wall, and the sheer force sent him spiraling across the void. A shockwave rippled outward, shaking the very space around him. He tumbled uncontrollably, his body flipping end over end before finally—

THUD!

Zar crashed onto an invisible platform, his body skidding across the surface before coming to an abrupt halt.

Silence.

He lay there for a moment, staring at the vast, endless sky above him—if it could even be called a sky. He wasn't sure what was up or down anymore.

"Holy sh*t…" he muttered, his chest rising and falling rapidly. "That was insane."

Then, the system's voice chimed in.

["Hah! That was entertaining."]

Zar groaned, rolling onto his back. "Screw you."

["You're alive, aren't you? Be grateful."]

Zar let out a dry chuckle. "Gee, thanks for your overwhelming concern."

["That was quite the mess, though. I knew you'd struggle with controlling your speed, but crashing into the Wall of Dominion? That's a new level of reckless."]

Zar sat up slowly, rubbing his sore shoulder. "Wall of Dominion?"

["Yes. It marks the entrance to a restricted zone of your multiverse. You weren't supposed to come this way, but since you insisted on using brute force…"]

Zar clicked his tongue. "Like I had a choice."

He stood up and dusted himself off, even though there was nothing to dust off. The platform he had landed on was strange—solid, yet seemingly invisible. It was as if he was standing on compressed space itself.

He looked back at the colossal wall. It was ancient, massive beyond comprehension, covered in intricate golden patterns that pulsed with an energy he couldn't quite understand.

Then something caught his attention.

At the point of impact, where his shoulder had collided, a deep crack had formed.

Zar's eyes widened.

"Wait… did I… damage it?"

["...Huh."]

Even the system sounded surprised.

["That's… unexpected."]

Zar frowned. "What do you mean 'unexpected'?"

["You shouldn't have been able to leave even a scratch on that wall. Not with your current power level. But somehow, you did."]

Zar stared at the crack. A strange feeling stirred in his chest. This wasn't normal, was it? If this wall was meant to be unbreakable, then…

What the hell did that mean for him?

He took a deep breath, pushing those thoughts aside. Now wasn't the time to dwell on it. He still had a mission.

"Alright," he muttered. "Forget the wall. I still need to find my palace."

["Good. At least you're staying focused."]

Suddenly, a soft hum resonated through the air. The golden engravings on the wall shimmered, and in an instant—

The crack vanished.

Zar watched in astonishment as the system casually repaired the damage as if it had never existed. The divine glow returned to its full brilliance, and there was no longer any trace of his impact.

["There. All fixed."]

Zar narrowed his eyes. "Wait a second—you just said I shouldn't have been able to break it. If that's true, then why did you bother fixing it so fast?"

The system was silent for a brief moment.

["...No reason."]

Zar sighed. "Yeah. That's not suspicious at all."

Without another word, the system cut its connection, leaving Zar alone once again. He shook his head and turned his gaze forward. No use thinking too much about it.

But unknown to him—

A group of celestial beings, clad in radiant armor, arrived at the scene. They floated before the massive wall, their divine eyes scanning the surroundings.

The first celestial narrowed his gaze. "We sensed an intruder. Where are they?"

Another being stepped forward, his ethereal wings spreading as he observed the untouched wall. "Strange… There's no sign of an attack. No damage at all."

A third celestial, the oldest among them, furrowed his brows. "No… I'm certain we received a warning. Someone or something touched this wall."

The others exchanged confused glances.

"But there's nothing…" one of them murmured.

The leader of the group remained silent, his gaze lingering on the golden engravings. Something felt… off.

Even though the wall showed no signs of harm—

His instincts screamed that they had just witnessed the beginning of something dangerous.

Meanwhile…

Zar walked aimlessly through the vast, starry expanse, muttering to himself.

"System, you said you wouldn't talk to me again until I reached my palace. So why the hell did you just show up?"

Silence.

Then—

["Ohhh… Not telling~"]

The playful tone sent a chill down Zar's spine.

He stopped walking, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I swear to god, you are the most annoying thing I have ever dealt with."

["Oh? You're swearing to a god? Well then—all the best."]

Zar froze.

His expression twitched.

Damn it.

He quickly turned away, face burning with embarrassment, and marched forward without another word.

The system, of course, only laughed in amusement.

Somewhere out there, his palace awaited.

And Zar had a feeling this journey was going to be much more complicated than he expected.
