Babysitting Whitebeard’s Crew:How I Accidentally Became a Teen Emperor

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Vista’s Slash, Nozarashi!

The secluded Cliff Hut lay quiet as Vista sifted through the comic collection left by Lucas. The other division commanders were already engrossed in training their newfound abilities, leaving him alone to discover his path.

"Let's see if something here resonates with me," he muttered, picking up a random comic from the shelf.

The first comic caught his attention with the title, "Akame of the Demon Sword Murasame."

Vista squinted at the cover. "The protagonist is such a slender girl? Yeah… no. Not for me." He promptly placed it back on the shelf.

Next, "Date A Live: Tohka Yatogami."

He grimaced. "A massive weapon wielded by a frail girl? Definitely not my style."

With each successive comic, Vista's confusion deepened. Why were so many protagonists delicate girls?

"Could it be that Lucas has a thing for cute heroines?" He chuckled to himself, then mused, Maybe we should repay him with a crew full of adorable girls someday…

Still, he continued flipping through titles.

The Flame Haze of the Nietono no Shana

Emperor of Roses Nero Claudius

King of Knights of the Holy Sword Artoria Pendragon

Flash Yuuki Asuna

"Good grief!" he exclaimed, shaking his head. "It's all the same! But wait…"

A bold cover caught his eye: "Zanpakutō Nozarashi."

The man on the cover exuded raw power, his presence commanding attention.

"Now, this is a man's sword!" Vista declared, his excitement growing.

Vista dove into the comic, utterly captivated by the tales of Kenpachi Zaraki. Each page painted the picture of a wild and unrelenting warrior whose love for battle was unparalleled.

"Okay, now that's what it means to be a real man!" Vista exclaimed, slamming his hand on the table. "Handsome as hell!"

The philosophy of Kenpachi Zaraki resonated deeply within him.

"Swords, when held with both hands, are stronger than one."

"Before this sword, everything is invincible."

"To fight without fearing death, to find joy in dying—this is true strength."

Hours passed like minutes as Vista immersed himself in the story. By the end, his conviction was unshakable.

"Why didn't I see it before?" he muttered. "The simplest path is often the truest."

At that moment, a surge of spiritual energy enveloped him. His surroundings blurred, and a sudden pressure descended upon the hut.

In his hands, Reiatsu condensed into a form. A long blade materialized, its body wrapped in white cloth strips, radiating a primal energy meant for destruction.

Vista stared in disbelief. "This is… Nozarashi!"

The Zanpakutō of Kenpachi Zaraki, a weapon designed for a warrior unafraid of death.

As he held the sealed blade, words from the comic flowed into his mind—mantras of Zaraki's kendo philosophy.

Tears welled up in his eyes. "It's real… It's finally real…"

In that moment, Vista understood.

Lucas's words echoed in his mind: "Vista, have you ever considered that maybe… the dual-sword style isn't for you?"

It wasn't an insult—it was destiny.

Dual-sword style had always eluded him. But this… this single blade felt as though it had been waiting for him all along.

With Nozarashi in hand, Vista grinned wildly. "My one-sword style begins now!"
