Chapter 17: Chapter sixteen
Chapter Sixteen: The Endless Horde
The arena gates slammed shut behind Crow as the dust settled. The air was thick with tension. Unlike his previous battles, this wasn't a duel—this was a war.
Across the battlefield, the ground trembled as the horde emerged. Hundreds of monsters, ranging from feral beasts to twisted undead and raging elementals, filled the arena. Their roars and cries echoed across the stands, where the spectators watched in stunned silence.
"This isn't a normal match," Crow muttered, analyzing the creatures before him. His goal wasn't just victory—it was taming every single one of them.
The Horde's Composition:
1. Bladed Wolves (Level 35-40) – Wolves with metallic fur and razor-sharp claws, built for speed and deadly ambushes.
2. Undead Berserkers (Level 50-60) – Fallen warriors, clad in rusted armor, wielding massive cleavers. They feel no pain, only the need to destroy.
3. Lava Serpents (Level 45-55) – Snake-like monsters dripping with molten rock, leaving trails of fire as they slither.
4. Storm Harpies (Level 30-50) – Winged creatures capable of unleashing thunderous shrieks and bolts of lightning from the sky.
5. Titanic Stone Behemoth (Level 80, Elite Boss) – A towering monster, its body composed of jagged boulders, eyes glowing with deep, earthen energy.
Crow's Strategy:
Crow didn't hesitate. He had one simple plan: weaken, subdue, and tame.
"Elemental Guardians, divide and conquer!"
The Fire Guardian unleashed an Inferno Wall, cutting off half the horde.
The Ice Guardian summoned Glacial Spears, freezing the Lava Serpents mid-charge.
The Earth Guardian raised massive barriers, separating weaker monsters from the stronger ones.
Crow's Wyvern and Shadow Panther worked together, ambushing the Storm Harpies mid-air while the Stone Golem held the frontline against the Berserkers.
But Crow wasn't just commanding—he was taming.
Taming the Horde:
With every moment, Crow focused his energy.
He used Beast Space Taming Technique to subdue packs of Bladed Wolves, bending them to his will.
The Undead Berserkers, resistant to normal taming, required Shadow Chains from the Shadow Panther to weaken before Crow took control.
The Lava Serpents, their wild flames burning the battlefield, were overwhelmed by the Ice Guardian's crushing cold, making them easier to tame.
The Storm Harpies, screeching and darting, were intercepted by Crow's Wyvern, forcing them into submission.
The tide of battle shifted as monsters that once fought against Crow turned on their own kind under his command.
Final Challenge: The Titanic Stone Behemoth
Despite taming most of the horde, one monster remained—the Titanic Stone Behemoth. Its massive form shook the arena, its strength rivaling that of Crow's own Elemental Guardians.
The crowd gasped as the Behemoth roared, sending a shockwave through the field. The battle wasn't over yet.
Crow narrowed his eyes. This monster would be his.
