Chapter 5: Chapter five
### **Chapter Five: Quantity and Quality**
Crow stood at the edge of the forest, his mind clear and determined. His beasts, including the Wyvern, Shadow Panther, Stone Golem, and Dire Wolves, had already proven their worth in battle. Yet, he knew he wasn't done.
"I've learned something," Crow murmured. "I need both—quantity and quality."
He had tamed a powerful wyvern, but there was always room for more. He couldn't rely on just one or two strong creatures. He needed a varied army, a team that would give him flexibility no matter the challenge.
"Time to tame more beasts."
—
The path ahead was dark, the trees thick and oppressive. Crow wasn't sure what awaited him, but his confidence had grown. His beasts followed in perfect harmony, an ever-expanding force of strength and loyalty.
As they moved deeper into the woods, Crow could feel the air shift. The presence of a creature loomed ahead, and he smiled. "Let's see what we have here."
A **Giant Boar**, its tusks gleaming in the dappled sunlight, emerged from behind a large boulder. It snorted loudly, its eyes wild with aggression.
[**Giant Boar – Level 10**]
**Strength:** 45
**Agility:** 20
**Endurance:** 40
**Intelligence:** 8
**Mana:** 10
**Skills:**
- **Charging Rampage (Active):** Charges at its target, dealing heavy damage and knocking opponents back.
- **Tusk Barrage (Active):** A flurry of powerful tusk attacks, damaging anything in its path.
- **Natural Toughness (Passive):** Increases its resistance to physical damage.
Crow's eyes gleamed with interest. This was no elite beast, but it could add something valuable to his army—raw strength and durability. Without hesitation, he gave the command.
"Shadow Panther, move in for the first strike."
The panther blurred into motion, its speed allowing it to strike first, slashing at the boar's side with its shadow-infused claws. The boar roared in pain, turning sharply to retaliate.
"Stone Golem, block its charge!" Crow commanded.
The Stone Golem stepped forward, its massive form easily absorbing the boar's powerful charge, not even budging. The boar bounced off its rocky skin, momentarily stunned.
Crow rushed forward, taking the opportunity to subdue the boar. He moved with speed, managing to dart around the boar's tusks as it tried to swing at him. His hand reached out, activating his **Tame** skill.
[Tame Attempt Activated…]
The boar struggled, snorting in defiance, but Crow's will was too strong. With a final tug, the connection was made.

Crow exhaled, feeling his heart race with excitement. The Giant Boar stood at attention, now under his control. He could see the value in this creature. It was durable and could take hits that other beasts couldn't.
"Good," Crow whispered. "That's one."
—
As the day wore on, Crow continued his search for more beasts to tame. His beasts grew stronger with every battle, and Crow knew that by combining both powerful beasts and more numerous, resilient creatures, he would form an unstoppable army.
The next encounter was with a **Troll**, its green skin mottled with scars. Its huge body towered over Crow, but the beast's slow, lumbering movements made it vulnerable to the attacks of his quick tamed beasts.
[**Troll – Level 12**]
**Strength:** 55
**Agility:** 15
**Endurance:** 60
**Intelligence:** 10
**Mana:** 15
**Skills:**
- **Regeneration (Passive):** Regenerates a small amount of health over time.
- **Earth Smash (Active):** Slams the ground with its fists, causing a shockwave that damages nearby enemies.
- **Stone Skin (Active):** Temporarily hardens its skin, increasing defense.
Crow quickly assessed the situation. He had learned that Trolls were tough, but their speed made them predictable.
"Dire Wolves, flank it!" Crow shouted.
The pack of Dire Wolves moved into position, surrounding the Troll from multiple angles. The Shadow Panther leaped from the shadows, striking at the troll's exposed flank, causing it to roar in pain. The Stone Golem took a defensive stance, blocking the Troll's Earth Smash with its tough, rock-like skin.
Crow rushed forward, activating his **Tame** skill again. He could feel the troll's resistance, but he knew it was only a matter of time.
[Tame Attempt Activated…]
As the troll roared in pain, its body relaxed, and it fell under Crow's control. The troll's massive form trembled before it knelt, submitting to the tamer's will.
[**Troll – Level 12**] has been successfully tamed.

Crow looked at the troll with a satisfied smile. "Another solid addition."
—
As the sun began to set, Crow had tamed five beasts in total: the Wyvern, Shadow Panther, Stone Golem, Dire Wolves, and now the Giant Boar and the Troll. Each of them had their own strengths, but they would all contribute to the growing army that Crow was assembling. His goal was clear—he wanted an army that could not only crush enemies with raw power but also adapt to any situation with a variety of strengths and abilities.
He grinned, feeling the weight of his decisions. "Quality and quantity. I'll have both."
**[Level Up: Crow – Level 6]**
The surge of energy flooded through him again. The bond with his beasts strengthened, and Crow could feel his command over them growing ever more powerful. His next goal was clear: tame more creatures, train them, and continue to grow stronger.
With his beasts at his side, Crow knew no limits.
