Becoming the heavenly principle in teyvat

Chapter 8: The archons meet their new master!!

If someone were to ask any of the archons what they thought of Phanes or Celestia in general (and if they wanted to answer you) their answers would be the same, strict.

Now, they understand why this is, in the end they also have to take care of their people, so they understand the need for a little discipline, and more so considering the past history of Teyvat.

But Phanes changed a lot over time, her appreciation for Teyvat became a poison that corrupted her over the centuries, she became very paranoid and that...had terrible consequences in Teyvat.

And in the end, the corruption affected her so much that she had to enter a deep sleep to be able to endure and recover, but as we already know, that did not happen because Elohim took her powers and authority.

Now, there are some gods who can change their physical form at will, but it is a rarely used ability since the gods prefer to maintain a fixed gender throughout their lives, Phanes is one of them, she chose a feminine form and kept it for almost her entire life, that's one of the reasons why the archons knew that the man on the throne couldn't be Phanes.

Another reason why they knew that is because of his aura, the aura of a living being is difficult to copy and even more so if it is a god, even thought the aura of that man told them instantly that he was the heavenly principles It also told them that he was not Phanes because her aura was different in some parts.

So, yes, the shock was so much that they stood still for quite a few seconds, this did not please the shades very much since they consider it a lack of respect towards their new master (although Elohim was still quite calm on his throne and with a face of amusement).

"Why are you still not bowing, fools, can I consider this a disrespect towards the heavens?!" Ronova snapped and said with and enreaged face

"!!!" That brought them out of their trance and made them remember where they were, so without thinking twice they bowed down, the archons were not used to feeling nervous or... afraid.

...

Chuckles were heard in the throne room, the shades focused their gaze in their master, the chuckle seemed to have snapped Ronova of her anger and, as always, Istaroth seemed disconnected and unfocused, Rhinedottir was looking amused while playing with a strand of her hair.

The archons were also surprised by this and, calmly and carefully, raised their eyes slightly from the ground (still bowing) to gaze at the man on the throne.

"Master?..." Ronova asked her master who seemed to be holding back his laughter

"...I'm sorry, it's was just really amusing seeing the archons being scolded..." Elohim said after a few chuckles and ending that with a few more.

"..." The archons didn't know what to think about that, so they tried not to.

"Ah..I see, well if it pleases you then I wouldn't mind doing It more often, master" Ronova said and a metaphorical drop of sweat ran down the archons backs.

"If that's the case then I wouldn't mind doing it too, master" Rhinedottir said, and everyone of them except the archons understood that she just wanted the favor of Elohim, but, to the archons those words were like a metaphorical bucket of water falling down their backs, nations have fallen by being on the wrong side of one of the shades, imagine two.

"No, thank you thought, I would very much like to maintain the order of the world...now rise my archons, you don't have to be so formal in my presence unless I ask you to, things are going to be different than they were with Phanes" Elohim said and the archons, carefully, stood up and looked at the...¿new Heavenly Principles?

"I know you all have questions, so ask" Elohim said and the archons looked at eachothers as if saying 'who's going to ask ' but at the end Zhongli started talking (because he's the only one brave enough to ask and who's death wouldn't change much in his region).

"I hope my question doesn't offend you, but, what happened to Phanes?" Zhongli said maintaing a straight face but still nervous.

"Hmm, 'what happened to her?' I absorbed her power and stole her authority, my name is 'Elohim', and i'm the new Heavenly Principle's" He said, and the archons were still left a shacken from that statement, they already knew it of course, but it was still difficult to understand that the balance of power had changed after so much time.

They were also surprised that someone had been able to steal Phanes authority, even if she was dormant, while it was true that she was not the strongest being in the entire tree, in Teyvat her level of power was quite considerable, so the archons began to understand the level of power their new 'master' had.

"Ah, thank you for answering my question,...my lord" Zhongli said and added the 'my lord' after feeling the gaze of the shades.

"Okay, who wants to make the next question?" Elohim asked and Ei gave a tentative step forward

"I would like to know if we were brought her for...punishment..." Ei asked, and suddenly the throne room seemed a bit colder, Ei had this doubt since they were summoned, so she may as well ask directly.

"punishment?...while I find the actions of some archons here present not to my liking, I have already said that I am not Phanes and as long as you swear loyalty to me I am able to, forget, your transgressions" Elohim said with a small smile that was hiding his disliking of that topic, while he wasn't Phanes and was okay with forgetting their actions if they were loyal from then on, it was still difficult for him not to feel a bit angry of their actions, those feelings came from his position as Heavenly Principle, but it wasn't something he couldn't ignore.

The archons gave signs of relief at hearing that, with that, their biggest worry had vanished and now all that was left was to wait for their orders, something they weren't expecting with joy either, since the last time they were ordered to do something was...not pretty and for Ei it was the time that she lost her sister, so yeah, not fun.

"So what have we been summoned for, lord Elohim?..." Venti asked, nervous even after knowing he wouldn't be destroyed.

"Ah, that, I think it's better if I just show you"

"¿?" The archons were confused by that statement, but they didn't have to think about it much as Elohim snapped his fingers and...

Everything went black for them
