(POV General)

After Crashhoper received the letter he immediately stored it away after transforming back into his real body.

After his transformation both Lad and Roy arrived in the room seeing the tv's but Roy chose not to pay attention to a bunch of set up monitors and focused on the robot army outside.

"How should we continue?"

Both Lad and Shift were surprised by Roy's willingness to cooperate and didn't take a second to react or at least Shift didn't.

"Lad report and guard this mansion for the league while both I and Red Arrow get back to the summit knowing the Shadows they'd likely try again."

Lad shook his head agreeing with his leaders plan. While Roy not so much.

"And why are you coming?"

Shift walked past both of them towards the exit of the hidden underground room seeming to ignore Roy. 

"Because I don't trust you."

As Shift was about to leave the room he uttered his answer to Roy's question getting an angry grunt out of it.

Lad on the other hand saw it as a way of protecting an ally. As he was instructed to stay and guard then to go with someone his leader thought suspicious.

Lad still wasn't pleased though as Shift a friend didn't trust his other friend which he himself has known for several years wanted to speak up.

However his soldier's demeanor came before his friendship forcing him to follow the orders that were given.

As Lad was thinking these things Roy had caught up with Shift and began to try and start some small talk in an elevator they had found taking them to the surface.

"Why don't you trust me?"

Was the first thing he asked of course Roy wanted to start small but seeing Shifts character of blatantly not liking him he decided the frontal approach was best.

"Too quick to anger. Inexperienced in solo combat. Too focused on the league and not on self improvement. And disregard to those who wish to only help you."

Shift through daggers at Roy and with each toss they became more and more injuring.

Roy was about to burst in anger and attack only he didn't want to prove him right and became silent until another question came up.

"You've only met me two or three times how do you know so much?"

Shift finally reacted turning around with his mask facing Roy saying nothing except one word.

"Experience."

-Ding-

The elevator reached the first floor of the mansion where once at the entrance Roy spoke again.

"I need to go retrieve my spare bow I'll meet you at the summit."

Roy then used his hidden speed boat that for some reason was painted red like that works with stealth.

Shift on the other hand looked to his Omnitrix and remembered that he only has one transformation left before his Omnitrix needed a recharge of five to eight hours.

Shift finished his thought and decided against using his Omnitrix given that at most he'd only get their then to fight losing his advantage in a fight.

"You need a ride?"

Roy who had noticed Shift's 'movement' turned back finding Shift standing at the edge of the pier of the deck.

Shift said nothing and got aboard the boat and was given a ride to the shore. Shift then decided to make a mental note and not to rely solely on Aqua Lads powers for water travel.

Soon Shift arrived with Roy back at the summit. 

Due to Shift unprecedented traveling issues Roy took Shift both with him to retrieve his spare bow and to drive him to the Summit.

The police stopped Shift from entering until Roy spoke for him causing them to lower their guards as Luther had already vouched for him.

Once inside a ray of colors entered Shifts retinas at least through his mask seeing several lights of flashing cameras and colors of outfits.

"Is this a new hero in training!"

"Sir can I get an interview!!"

Several reports intended to get an interview either by him willing or unwilling surrounding him. While Roy somehow took the slip.

Shift suddenly felt a presence and grabbed the hand that was about to touch his shoulder as the voice spoke.

"Oh he's with—what great grip."

Shift turned his gaze after watching the reporters react surprised finding a five foot eleven caucasian man with a bald head and suit.

"Luther."

"Charmed I'm sure."

Shift spoke with a monotone somehow sounding like Batman. Lex Luther on the other hand regained control over his hand rubbing the pressure off as he spoke.

Luther then directed the reporters elsewhere and then placed the focus back onto Shift.

"I've been wanting to meet you."

"What's the angle?"

Lex wanted to start a conversation but Shift wasn't in the mood to speak with a known villain and had cut straight to it as he always had done in uniform.

"Onto business then. As I told your compatriot I'm here merely to help settle ties between both North and South Ryleshia."

Shift didn't buy it and continued with some questions which Luther backed up with an excuse until one question came up.

"How'd you know you'd be targeted?"

Lex showed no emotion but on the inside he became startled and asked Shift in a questioning manner.

"How do you mean?"

"Mercy Graves an android created by Lex Corp and used as your personal guard and Secretary. Wouldn't be here if something wasn't wrong."

Lex started to sweat internally but his poker face hadn't shifted and he continued to play dumb.

"Well Mercy is as you say however she's merely here as my own protection."

Shift began to analyze Lex and then walked past him saying.

"You likely don't just intend to gain money you have another angle. Likely what the Light wants."

This time Shift focused purely on Lex's facial expressions and saw a quirk of the eyebrows confirming his suspicion. 

"I don't know who this 'Light' you're referring to but like I said I'm merely here as a peace keeper."

Shift ignored the rest of Luther's lies and began to walk towards the Summit hall where the two leaders bickered.

Luther on the other hand stayed with the reporters correcting the young Heroes previous statements with 'truths.'
