Birth Of The Crafts-God

Chapter 277: Versoa 2

The Versoa team's headquarters was a large plot of land spanning a few acres. Even though the Bailin province was a somewhat border province in Trundel City, as land was very costly in Trundel City, the amount needed to purchase these was unimaginable. This showed just how strong the financial prowess of the team, or its owner, is. One should recall that the current building Lucas used for the Heavenly Demonic Shop cost three thousand federal coins a month for rent. This was the same price he used to buy the land and building for the Seven Sparks Forge store in Baylands City.

On the plot of land owned by the Versoa team, there were three main buildings and some other secondary buildings. The first was an arena-building, which was actually a 'mini' racing track or circuit. It could easily rival some of the racing tracks on Earth in terms of complexity, but was only half the length, at around two and a half kilometres. Nonetheless, this was already very impressive.

Around the circuit was a spectator platform about three storeys high, and had stores inside of them just like the layout of a stadium.

In the middle of the circuit were three secondary buildings not more than two storeys tall [1]. One of them was a repair station, another was a recreational spot that had a viewing platform at the top floor. The final building was the garage for the team's shuttles.

Apart from training and testing, the racing circuit was also rented out to host events and live concerts, which were somewhat popular even though virtual transmission was a thing. The circuit was also used for some private races between drivers.

The second main building, which happened to be the tallest at thirty-six storeys in height, was the residential area for the team members and the working staff whose jobs were to maintain the place. Although not all team members lived here, they each had a room in the building. The core members of the team, who numbered six, were each given a single floor in the skyscraper. The remaining thirty floors were split into two: ten floors went to the remaining members of the team with each floor having three apartments, while twenty floors was for the staff with each floor having six apartments.

Not all apartments were occupied by their intended occupants. For instance, the ten mid-level floors meant for the members of the team had thirty apartments. However, the official team members weren't up to that much. So, some of the leading staff in the headquarters were allowed to take residency in these apartments. For instance, the

The final building was a six storey building which was the administrative building. It was where all the administrative work—including the overseeing and management of the team's asset— took place.

Vienna's secretary, who was sent over to guide Lucas through the takeover process, led him to the Versoa team's conference room located in the administrative building. The meeting was to take place there, but since it was an impromptu meeting, Lucas had to wait for the others to arrive.

During this time, Lucas began going through the overview of the team.

Despite being a second tier team in an unofficial league, the Versoa team was thick in cash with a rough net-worth of about twelve million federal coins. This net-worth included their assets and cash value. The team had been in the Nadire Underground League for three years and had garnered lots of investment and profit during these years, so it's value was understandable. They also made around seven hundred thousand to one million federal coins per year in revenue from all their businesses, excluding sponsorships, with a profit of eighty thousand to one hundred and fifty thousand federal coins, which equates to roughly a 12% profit margin.

Even though this was a lot, it still couldn't compare to vestige-smith companies, especially Lucas' business. Back in Baylands City, after unveiling the SS vestiges Black Dagger and Blue Spear, Lucas had made 920,000 federal coins after selling twenty of each vestiges (a total of forty) in revenue, with three hundred and sixty-eight thousand in profit.

Of course, there was a logical reason: the SS vestiges were almost as powerful as Grade 4 vestiges, despite being only Grade 3. They also utilised a never-before-seen technology, and added with their rarity, the price was justified; otherwise the value of the federal coins in Eretre would have crashed.

Also, Lucas' profit margin was much higher than other vestige-smith companies because he didn't spend on materials; he only had to compensate sixty percent of his revenue to the system. On the other hand, the Versoa team's 12% profit margin was much more realistic.

After looking through the financial documents, Lucas also took some time out to look at the designs of the team's racing shuttle, nicknamed 'Viper'.

According to the Hyuman encyclopaedia database, the Viper was an extinct species of venomous snakes during the human era. One of them happened to be the fastest snakes and the humans took on that name for some of their vehicles to display both speed and ferociousness attributed to the snake.

The Verso team took on this tradition and named their racing shuttle 'Viper', implying that it wielded an incredible speed and power.

Truthfully, the schematics of the racing shuttle showed that it achieved just that. Even the Viper's performance in the previous couple of races was impressive. Vienna claimed that Versoa was currently in the upper-middle position of the table, but this was actually the eleventh place; although she wasn't wrong, that was really close to the top ranks.

If it were placed in the K1 league, based purely on the vehicle's performance alone, getting top three would be a breeze. The reason why Lucas said top three and not first place was because the current K1 league's toppers had really powerful racing shuttles.

The LVA team had a racing shuttle developed by an official vestige-smith company in the hover car industry. Team Yoko-bunny was sponsored by the third generation princess of the Verantino family, the fourth most powerful family in Trundel City. According to rumours, she was one of the two only females in her generation and the youngest, making her a spoilt princess. A famous Tier 1 Master vestige-smith had been hired to design their racing shuttle alongside two other Tier 1 Master vestige-smiths. Only the Red Mouse team was lacking in comparison, but the driver was much more skilled.

At the same time Lucas was studying the designs, a few individuals walked into the conference room. Lucas took note of them, but after a quick headcount, he realised that not everyone was present yet. After a slight frown, Lucas paid no heed to them and returned to the drawings.

Since the rest hadn't shown up yet, there was no reason to start the meeting. Also, Lucas understood that it was an improptu decision, which was why he decided to be so lenient.

A quarter of an hour had to go by before finally, the last set of people arrived in the conference room and took their seats.

The meeting officially began.
