Bite Me, Alpha (BL)

Chapter 4: You've a Nice Body!

Before Riven could understand Azerin's next move, he was dragged outside and shoved to the floor. Riven whimpered in pain as his knees hit against the tiled floor.

On the TV screen his face and the house, where he served for fourteen years were being shown with the top headline–

"A beta poisoned an entire family of Alphas."

As the reporter said it loudly, Riven curled his fingers, wondering how he should deal with it now.

"Want to lie more?" Azerin asked.

"I didn't kill any of them," Riven snapped, turning his head before standing up. "I had no intention to kill them. I was young when I bought that drug from the black market. The vendor told me that it's called Azerin, which can make you unconscious. Fourteen years, I served them only to be deceived later. He deceived my parents into a lifetime contract. I was supposed to be freed yesterday, but he laughed at me saying I had to serve him all my life. I thought they would be asleep if I would drug them, but I didn't know it would kill them. I didn't know it was a poison."

Riven burst out, revealing his emotions along with his frustration.

"I was running for my life because they would've killed me without listening to me. And then, you dragged me into the bar and kissed me," Riven muttered, meeting Azerin's gaze again.

Azerin's beta, Soren, was standing in the same room widened his eyes when he heard Azerin kissed a lowly wolf.

"Alpha, you kissed–"

"Stay quiet," Azerin glared at his beta before returning it to Riven.

'I need to do something so that he won't kick me out,' Riven thought.

"Is this how you repay someone who saved your life? By treating them like dirt?" Riven challenged, his voice edged with frustration. "I thought you were better than this. At the very least, a thank you would've sufficed for dressing your wound last night. If I had any bad intentions, I would've left you bleeding on that road."

He was clearly trying to win sympathy, but Azerin's expression didn't waver.

"Soren, leave us," Azerin commanded coldly.

Without another word, the beta quietly exited the suite.

Riven's heart pounded in his chest. He didn't know what would come next, but before he could even blink, Azerin was suddenly in front of him, moving so fast it made Riven flinch.

A strong hand gripped his face, fingers pressing into his cheeks with cruel intent.

"I'm not a nice person," Azerin growled. "And lower your voice when you speak to me. It irritates me."

His eyes narrowed with a dangerous glint. "Didn't you kiss me at the bar? Lied about who you were. Called yourself an escort. Well, how about proving it now?"

A wicked grin curled on his lips.

Riven's eyes widened while his heart thundered in panic.

"That was just to survive!" he snapped, shoving Azerin's hand away. He rubbed his sore jaw, the skin already beginning to ache. "I only said that because I had no other option. And you were the one who kissed me out of nowhere."

"Will you shut up about that damn kiss?" Azerin hissed. "I don't even call that a kiss. It was all an act."

"Well, it wasn't for me!" Riven shouted, his voice cracking with emotion. "It was my first kiss! And you—you ruined it! You stole something that mattered to me!"

Azerin let out a cold laugh. "Look at you, a lowly wolf talking about kisses like you're someone special. You were nothing but a servant to a family of Alphas. Do you really think you hold that kind of worth?"

The words hit Riven like a slap.

His voice trembled. "You Alphas are all the same."

Azerin looked at him, furrowing his brows together.

"Leave," he finally said.

Riven stopped blinking and lowered his hand from his jaw. He didn't budge from his place.

"Didn't you hear me? Leave my sight!" Azerin commanded this time.

"Why don't you let me serve you?" Riven asked. "I have nowhere to go. I am good at household chores. You won't find an ounce of complaint from me."

"Weren't you shouting about getting your freedom a few minutes ago? Now, you want to become my servant!?" Azerin mused and sneered.

"I need money to survive," Riven stated. "And you can trust me. I saved you. Maybe in the future you will need me for such tasks."

Azerin's eyes filled with intrigue. He walked up to him. "Then, you've to do things which you will hate. You've a nice body, especially your–" He moved his hand to Riven's hip and gave it a light slap.
