Bleach: I Love Making Friends

Chapter 34: Chapter 34: The Thunder Cat and the Universal Countermeasure; Meeting Urahara Kisuke

Haruki was confident that Urahara Kisuke would notice him.

Even if he didn't actively seek out Urahara, the man would eventually show up in front of him.

It was a simple matter. He was wearing the Fifth Division's armband, which was enough to prove his identity.

He was from the Fifth Division. A member of the Fifth Division appearing in Karakura Town, seemingly searching for something—would Urahara Kisuke really do nothing?

Impossible. The smarter someone was, the more they would overthink.

Did Haruki's presence in Karakura Town mean it was on Aizen's orders? Had Aizen already discovered their location?

Or was Aizen brewing some new scheme?

Therefore, Haruki was certain that as long as he stayed in Karakura Town long enough, even if he didn't make a move, Urahara Kisuke would take action.

What confirmed Haruki's thoughts was the appearance of a black cat. The cat looked ordinary, blending in with other cats as it passed by Haruki.

But no matter how well someone hid, their soul ability couldn't be concealed.

When Haruki saw the black cat blatantly displaying the soul ability Thunder Cat, he felt no surprise—in fact, he almost laughed.

Thunder Cat: Can transform into a black cat with powerful lightning abilities.

This ability suited Yoruichi well and was also quite interesting. It fell into the category of "disguise" abilities that Haruki wanted to obtain.

He was thinking, could he transform into a black cat to raise others' favorability?

After all, some people found it hard to develop high favorability toward men but were easily charmed by cats—commonly known as "cat lovers."

Especially some young girls, who were more likely to develop affection for cats.

Great. He absolutely had to get this ability!

So when Yoruichi appeared near him, he walked over and picked up the black cat with both hands.

"What a cute little kitty."

Haruki lifted the black cat above his head.

The cat struggled in his hands, and though Haruki tried to hold it firmly, the cat eventually broke free.

The black cat gave him a deep look before quickly leaping away.

Even though he was in his spiritual form, the spiritual bodies in the Bleach world were a bit strange.

Spiritual bodies in the Bleach world could still interact with physical matter—or rather, powerful spiritual bodies could.

People just couldn't see Shinigami and Hollows, but that didn't mean they couldn't touch them.

Chad, before awakening his powers, had once picked up a telephone pole and smashed it into a Hollow.

Moreover, if someone had spiritual sensitivity, they could see spirits.

Especially cats—black cats, in particular. These creatures were often considered spiritually sensitive, and for good reason.

Many black cats could see spiritual bodies, so Haruki holding the black cat wasn't unusual.

But obviously, Yoruichi wasn't a fool. She knew that Haruki's actions meant he had discovered her.

So, not long after the black cat disappeared, a brown-skinned beauty appeared in front of Haruki.

Yoruichi was wearing a tight-fitting outfit, her purple hair tied into a ponytail. Her golden eyes stared at Haruki.

"You're one of Aizen Sōsuke's subordinates, aren't you?"

Yoruichi looked at the armband on Haruki's arm and said coldly, "What? After holding back for so long, are you finally making your move?"

"Uh..." Haruki hadn't expected Yoruichi to be so direct. He shrugged and said, "Miss Yoruichi, you've misunderstood. Although I'm from the Fifth Division, I bear no hostility toward you or Mr. Urahara. On the contrary, I greatly admire Mr. Urahara's intelligence."

He inwardly Make complaint sed that he was just not like the protagonist. When Yoruichi appeared in front of Ichigo Kurosaki, she transformed from a black cat into a human right in front of him, not caring that her body was exposed.

But what about him?

She had to disappear and put on clothes before transforming, and her tone was accusatory from the start.

Ah, who made him come from a less fortunate background?

Haruki make complaints in his heart.

Meanwhile, Yoruichi's expression turned serious after hearing Haruki's words. His statement clearly indicated that he knew about the conflict between Aizen and them, which meant he couldn't be treated as an ordinary Shinigami!

In the Seireitei, only a few knew about Aizen's schemes. Even Aizen's current vice-captain might not be aware of his true nature, possibly just another Shinigami deceived by Aizen's facade.

But Haruki's mention of her and Urahara Kisuke proved that he knew about Aizen's conspiracy.

Yoruichi couldn't believe that Aizen would let a Shinigami who knew his true face live, unless...

They were on the same side.

"Do you think I'd believe your nonsense?"

Yoruichi narrowed her eyes, ready to take action.

Haruki raised his hands in surrender and said, "Miss Yoruichi, you might not believe me, but Mr. Urahara definitely will."

"Right, Mr. Urahara?"

Haruki looked behind Yoruichi. Although there was nothing there, he could see a soul ability displayed.

Universal Countermeasure: After fighting an enemy for a period of time, can create an item that counters the opponent.

Perfect. Very Urahara Kisuke.

Though, to be fair, this ability also seemed fitting for Mayuri Kurotsuchi. After all, these scientists always pulled out some countermeasure to "turn the tables" during battles.

So when Haruki saw this ability, he knew Urahara Kisuke had to be here.

Sure enough, after Haruki finished speaking, ripples appeared in the seemingly empty space. Urahara Kisuke lifted his black hood, his eyes carefully examining Haruki.

Haruki said, "Although I know about the conflict between Mr. Urahara and Mr. Aizen, I have no interest in your resentment."

"In fact, I've said the same to Mr. Aizen."

"No interest?" Urahara Kisuke said softly. "That sounds quite arrogant."

"Arrogant?" Haruki was taken aback, then explained, "I don't mean it that way. It's just how I truly feel."

"To me, both Mr. Aizen and Mr. Urahara are fascinating individuals. I just want to be friends with you, that's all."

"Fascinating, huh? That makes it sound even more arrogant." Urahara Kisuke looked at Haruki, then walked over to Yoruichi's side and said in a serious tone,

"Alright, Mr. Unknown Shinigami, could you tell me your background?"

"Your relationship with Aizen Sōsuke, and..."

"The purpose of your visit to the human world to see me."

"Depending on your answers, I'll decide whether to treat you as an enemy."
