"Now that all captains are present, this meeting officially begins."

"Today at noon, Captain Kasahara Shinichi of the Valley of Screams Abyss Unit sent word of a Hollow outbreak."

"Following our earlier meeting, I dispatched Captain Suì-Fēng, Captain Zaraki, and Vice-Captain Segawa as a three-person Hollow extermination unit to quell the disturbance in the Valley of Screams."

"They have now returned."

Yamamoto Genryūsai paused briefly before continuing:

After completing her bow, she raised her head and spoke clearly: "This afternoon, upon the extermination unit's entry into West Rukongai, I detected multiple Hollow spiritual pressures. I led several Stealth Force members ahead into the Valley of Screams."

"Our objective was to locate Abyss Unit members in advance, preventing us from becoming lost in the dense fog."

Yamamoto Genryūsai nodded approvingly. The tactic was sound.

"However, while exploring deep within the fog, I was suddenly ambushed by an exile from the Abyss Unit."

"She used her Zanpakutō to trap me within a barrier."

The moment these words left her lips, every captain's expression shifted to one of surprise.

None had anticipated such a development.

Now they understood why Suì-Fēng's captain haori bore damage—she had been caught in an ambush.

Suì-Fēng paused briefly before continuing:

"Since the Stealth Force members could no longer sense my spiritual pressure, they returned to report to the extermination unit."

"Upon receiving this intelligence, Vice-Captain Segawa came to the Valley of Screams and rescued me."

"Furthermore, he swiftly restrained the rebel who had created the barrier."

"Afterward, Vice-Captain Segawa astutely realized that someone was secretly orchestrating the Hollow group's movements, so he went to investigate."

"Truly remarkable, Segawa. To achieve such results on your very first mission."
