Bleach: The Shinigami’s Zanpakutō That Unleashed Bankai On Its Own

Chapter 26: CHAPTER 26:Early Graduation Test

Spiritual Arts Academy.

Dean's Chamber.

Yan Wulang looked seriously at the young man in front of him, his expression growing heavier.

"You've really decided?"

"The early graduation test of the Spiritual Academy isn't something easy to pass."

Moyu nodded, his face relaxed and composed.

"There's no need for concern, Dean. Since I'm standing here, it means I've made my decision."

Hearing this, Yan Wulang nodded solemnly, then slammed both fists on the desk.

"In that case, the early graduation test begins immediately!"

"Please proceed to Training Ground No. 1!"

Half an hour later.

Training Ground No. 1 was already crowded with students and faculty. A number of teachers whom Moyu recognized stood within the central field.

Kidō instructor Onoue Yuta, Zanjutsu instructor Keiko Tachibana, and the Kendo instructor...

"It seems the Academy is taking this quite seriously," Moyu thought, striding forward without hesitation.

He didn't take the so-called difficulty of the test too seriously.

If someone at his level couldn't graduate early from the Academy, then no one else ever would.

Forget the sixth reincarnation—even the sixtieth wouldn't be enough.

Yan Wulang walked beside Moyu, explaining the format:

"In addition to the compatibility with your Zanpakutō, you'll be evaluated on your mastery of Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Hohō, and Kidō—these are the foundational disciplines of the Shinigami. You must meet or surpass the standards of past graduates."

"As for the civilian division..."

Before he could finish, he caught the look in Moyu's eyes—flat and disapproving.

"Dean Yan, I think we can waive the civilian division."

"After all, I don't plan on being part of any support unit."

Yan Wulang hesitated for a moment, but when he considered Moyu's background, he nodded.

He was a direct descendant of the Kuchiki family, after all.

"Kuchiki Moyu..."

When Kidō instructor Onoue Yuta looked at Moyu, his expression was complicated.

No matter how he thought about it, he still couldn't understand how the original bottom-ranked student had come to qualify for early graduation.

Yet the Kidō prowess Moyu had demonstrated before left even him thoroughly convinced.

"Let's begin. If you can break through this defense using Kidō, you'll pass this section."

"Bakudō No. 39: Enkōsen!"

As Yuta's voice fell, a large circular spiritual shield appeared, floating before him.

Without hesitation, Moyu raised his right hand, extending his index finger.

Blue and white lightning surged and flickered.

An immense surge of Reiatsu focused at his fingertip.

"Hadō No. 4: Byakurai."

His calm voice cut through the buzz of the training field.

A roar followed, and a thick bolt of white lightning shot from his finger, striking straight toward the shield.

Yuta's eyes widened as the crushing pressure hit him.

He felt death breathing down his neck.

There was no time to dodge.

Yet the moment the Byakurai struck the shield—

Boom!

The spell cleanly shattered the Enkōsen, then dissolved into countless reishi particles.

It vanished without harming anything else.

Yuta froze.

"You… you controlled Byakurai to that extent…"

After countless repetitions, Moyu had perfected the spell's control.

He could now destroy even a leaf on a branch without disturbing the leaf's stem.

Such a refined Byakurai was terrifying.

The only disappointment was that defeating Onoue Yuta didn't trigger any system excitement. As Ten would say—

"Enemies defeated by me will never be recognized as opponents by me."

"Teacher," Moyu said calmly, "have I passed?"

Snapping out of his shock, Onoue Yuta nodded rapidly. "Yes, yes! Passed!"

Next came the Hakuda and Shunpo evaluations.

In these, Moyu's performance was fairly average.

Compared to the explosive performance in Kidō, these disciplines didn't generate much excitement, though he still passed easily.

"He's not that amazing in Hakuda or Shunpo."

"Still, his Kidō is insane."

"Even just Kidō alone is enough to crush most graduates. I don't know where he gets that level of confidence..."

Voices buzzed across the training ground, but none of them stirred Moyu.

"Mr. Moyu."

Tamamarui, the Kendo instructor, stepped forward and nodded.

"I heard from Captain Unohana that you've founded a new style of kendo."

"So, I hope you'll allow me to experience the swordplay that Captain Unohana holds in such high regard."

"If you demonstrate that style to me, you will pass the Kendo evaluation."

At these words, an uproar rippled through the crowd.
