The Encounter at Central 46
Yamamoto Shigekuni and Chōjirō Sasakibe followed a guard through a brightly lit corridor leading to the thick gate of the Central 46 Chambers.
"Captain Yamamoto, Captain Sasakibe, this is as far as I can take you. The elders of Central 46 are awaiting your presence inside. Please proceed," the guard said with a respectful bow.
Yamamoto gave a slight nod, pushing the heavy doors open. Both he and Sasakibe entered.
Inside, the elder code-named "One" rose from his seat. "Captain Yamamoto, what brings you to Central 46 today?"
Yamamoto Shigekuni surveyed the room, his gaze steady as he focused on "One."
"I have come to discuss matters concerning the Spiritual Arts Academy," Yamamoto stated, his voice deliberate and measured.
His words sparked immediate murmurs among the members of Central 46.
"The Spiritual Arts Academy? Is this about Aaron?"
"Captain Yamamoto himself has come here for that troublemaker?"
"Perhaps he's already dealt with the matter. If so, that would be a relief!"
"Captain Yamamoto always prioritizes Seireitei's safety above all else."
Standing silently, Yamamoto absorbed the chatter without reaction. Behind him, Chōjirō Sasakibe frowned at the remarks and leaned closer to whisper, "Captain, this is..."
"I only wish to know how you've ruled on this matter," Yamamoto said, raising his voice above the din.
"One" chuckled softly before replying, "Captain Yamamoto, after thorough deliberation, we in Central 46 have summoned Aaron to answer for his actions. Additionally, we have unanimously ruled for his execution—capital punishment for the murderer who refuses to reform. However, from your presence here, it seems you've already taken action yourself?"
Yamamoto snorted coldly. "As always, you are swift to pass judgment. But I came here today to caution you: provoking him unnecessarily may lead to consequences none of you are prepared to face."
His words silenced the room, but murmurs of dissent soon erupted.
"Pleading for a criminal? Is Captain Yamamoto protecting a habitual offender?"
A Dangerous Presence Approaches
Amid the growing arguments, a surge of oppressive Reiatsu flooded the air, emanating from the corridor outside Central 46.
The elders froze as the powerful spiritual pressure advanced rapidly. Distant screams echoed through the hallways, growing louder with each step.
"This Reiatsu! Who dares act so brazenly here?"
"Guards! Guards! Stop that intruder immediately!"
"This is the second intrusion in two days! Are the guards of Seireitei this incompetent?"
Yamamoto sighed disdainfully at the panic. He signaled Sasakibe to follow as he turned toward the commotion.
Aaron appeared, his calm demeanor contrasting with the devastation around him. He stepped over fallen guards with a faint shake of his head, his gaze locked on the doors ahead.
Yamamoto intercepted him, his towering figure radiating authority.
"Stop this, Aaron. You're forcing my hand," Yamamoto said with a resigned sigh.
Aaron's eyes flicked to Yamamoto and Sasakibe but betrayed no reaction. He resumed his steady approach, speaking evenly.
"Four hundred years, and you haven't changed, Captain. Still as stubborn as ever."
Without warning, flames erupted at Yamamoto's feet, engulfing his cane and transforming it into the burning blade of Ryūjin Jakka. His piercing gaze bore into Aaron.
"It has been four centuries, yet your defiance remains unchanged," Yamamoto growled.
Aaron smirked faintly, releasing his own immense Reiatsu in response.
The Battle Begins
Sasakibe quickly stepped back and began chanting an incantation:
"Black and white net! Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns! Footsteps, far thunder, sharp peaks, the night falls, and the sea of clouds! Blue sequence, circular arc of light, reaching the heavens! Bakudō #77: Tenteikūra!"
As Sasakibe's chant concluded, a web of blue light spread outward, broadcasting urgent orders across Seireitei:
"This is Chōjirō Sasakibe. Room 46 is under attack. All captains and vice-captains are to assemble immediately and provide support!"
Meanwhile, Yamamoto and Aaron clashed. Flames from Ryūjin Jakka engulfed the corridor as Yamamoto launched a series of powerful strikes, each met by Aaron's equally formidable counterattacks.
The corridor outside Central 46 was reduced to rubble, charred walls and debris scattered everywhere.
Yamamoto stood firm, glaring at his opponent. "If you intend to bathe Central 46 in blood again, you'll have to step over my dead body first!"
Raising his Zanpakutō high, Yamamoto roared, "All things in the universe turn to ash—Ryūjin Jakka!"
As flames surged from his blade, Aaron smirked coldly.
"Still clinging to that unwavering sense of justice, I see. In that case, I won't hold back either. Devour, Taotie !"
The clash of their spiritual energies shook Seireitei, marking the beginning of a battle that would be remembered for centuries to come.
