Chapter 3: A Confrontation and Potions
A/N: Another update, this story is slowly gaining traction which is great, thanks so much for reading, feel free to review.
I don't Own Konosuba
As Kazuma went inside, his heart fluttered upon seeing Luna walk off. He was met with Aqua, who had a stupid, glaring grin on her face.
"What's the look for, you useless goddess?" Kazuma mumbled. It was funny how they had all hugged each other, and now they were back to their usual selves, mocking one another—it was their trademark for this party.
"Oh! It's nothing, Kazu~kun. It's just funny how you and Luna are together." She snickered, and Kazuma rolled his eyes.
"And we're not dumb; we've seen you go over to her house during the night," Megumin said, smiling even more than Aqua. Darkness nodded in agreement.
"What..." Kazuma said, eyes widening. He was surprised—how did they know he had been sneaking away from the mansion to spend many nights with Luna? Sometimes he would rush them all to go to bed, even though they weren't even finished with their meals, and he would also wash the dishes when they were all in their rooms, which was something he would never do. When he was finished, he would quietly slip out and go over to Luna's place; she had been begging him to join her, she loved his scent so much.
"I wonder what Kazuma-san was doing there," Darkness said, her cheeks tinted pink, enjoying the thoughts of what activities had transpired over at Luna's place.
"Isn't it obvious?" Megumin puffed out her cheeks, and Aqua enjoyed this interrogation.
"He was definitely doing this." Aqua grinned, her right hand forming an 'O' while her left hand stuck her index finger in it, making a thrusting gesture. "He was all inside her guts, probably."
Kazuma's knees wobbled. It was hilarious because it was true. How could he deny it? The fact that he and Luna had been together for months now and knew each other's bodies like a book made it easy to remember all the things Kazuma did to her, especially making her wear those lingeries that he bought in the red light district in Axel without the trio knowing.
And every time he would come back home suspiciously in the morning, he stated that he was just hanging out with some friends at the guild.
"And then afterward," Aqua said quietly, making a hand gesture to imitate a money shot.
"Kazuma's sticky goo gets all over her face. Kazuma and Luna sitting in a tree, F-U-C-K-I-N-G," she blushed. This was pretty embarrassing for Aqua to do, but she couldn't help it. The fact that Kazuma was actually in a relationship was genuinely hilarious; this NEET from Japan was really enjoying himself here.
"C-Can we stop talking about this?" He waved his hands. He knew all the actions they were doing were correct. "L-Let's just go to the guild now to do some missions," he said out loud, trying to calm down.
The trio nodded and got ready.
The reason why Kazuma wanted to go to the guild was to pay off Aqua's debts that she had collected after spending money on dumb items like alcohol and party potions. And because she had resurrected him countless times from certain death, she hadn't realized that she was giving him all these benefits until she verbally said so. They proceeded to enter the guild.
"You guys sit down; I'll pick out the quest," Kazuma stated, directing them to the table.
"Yeah, so you could flirt with her and caress her hand," Megumin whispered.
"Shut up." Kazuma tried to hold back his grin, trying not to flick her on the nose when she said that. It's funny because that's what he was planning on doing. The guild was sort of empty, with only a few adventurers, staff, and waitresses there.
"Hey, Kazuma..." Luna winked at her boyfriend, making his body react in ways that it shouldn't just for a greeting. "Here for a quest, I see," she confirmed.
Kazuma nodded.
"Then I got the perfect one for you." She then handed him a paper with the request.
Quest Difficulty: Normal
Defeat 50 evil pigs that are terrorizing a farmer's harvest.
"Hmmm, seems easy enough," Kazuma thought. It wasn't the first time he'd done a quest like this, and it certainly wouldn't be the last either. As long as he could get the job done, everything would be fine and dandy. But with his party, anything that could go wrong was bound to go wrong with them, Kazuma sighed.
"And please hurry, I still have to show you the surprise, you know." Without anybody looking, she showed him her nipples for a nanosecond. Kazuma's breath hitched. When did she become such a tease?
"Hai." Kazuma obliged, grabbing onto her hands and caressing them, just as Megumin had said. That mage was always correct in her assumptions. He kissed her fingers gently.
"I promise I'll be back from the quest," Kazuma said, letting go of her hands. Luna smiled, waving him goodbye before heading towards the lobby, where the others were waiting patiently.
Ko-No-Su-Ba
The party had gone into the outskirts of the town to complete the quest. It was a sunny day but not hot, as the breeze was giving them comfort. That should probably be a good advantage, right? There weren't too many people wandering around, which was weird for a town like this.
"Hey Kazuma, so when are you going to propose to her?" Darkness asked. Kazuma looked at them; they actually wanted to know the answer. Although Kazuma promised Luna that he wanted to spend his days with her, they had been dating for months now. But he felt like a guy like him couldn't get married. Maybe he's not mature enough, but it was Luna, and she clearly loved him. Easier said than done.
"Well, uh... I've been wanting to ask her that," Kazuma admitted, his cheeks turning red.
"Kazuma, women like honesty," Aqua stated. Kazuma was already embarrassed as it was; he didn't need her adding fuel.
"But... I'm scared," Kazuma admitted. "Maybe it's best if I just keep my feelings for her to myself. I don't want anything bad to happen. What if she thinks the relationship is moving too fast?"
"Maybe you should just be open with her. Men usually have inner drives when it comes to being in heat," Darkness answered back.
"You would know that, wouldn't you?" Kazuma glared playfully at her, knowing her tendencies.
"I-I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!" she gasped, her cheeks blushing while holding her face in her hands. Kazuma smiled. He wanted to propose to her, but not right now. When the moment was right.
Ko-No-Su-Ba
Luna was busy wiping the tables, and her heart sighed in contentment. She was really in a relationship with him. He had always left hints on her, like playfully flirting and complimenting her a lot. He even gave her little trinkets and drinks from foreign lands, and Luna would often blush whenever she saw that he had gotten them for her.
At that moment, a voice came that rudely interrupted her happy thoughts. She turned around and saw that it was Kyouya, and he was looking quite annoyed with her.
"What the hell was that?" he whispered in a grunted voice. Kyouya was actually the first one, before Kazuma, to try to make his move on her, but she didn't like his attitude and how he always felt like he was the best adventurer in Axel. His narcissistic personality really rubbed Luna the wrong way.
"Excuse me?" she questioned back in the same husky tone. She was tired of Kyouya's attitude.
"You and Kazuma—I saw what you did. Why can't I do that? I'm a higher rank than him in every way. How can a guy like that have a woman like you?" He admired her figure and wanted to reach out to touch her waist, but she quickly swatted his hands away.
"Hands off," she growled, clenching her fists. Her eyes flashed with pure rage. "It's none of your concern. If you're gonna act like this, then you shouldn't be around us," Luna said bluntly, her voice cold. She was getting angrier by the second with every word that left her mouth.
Kyouya opened his mouth again to retort, but she just turned away from him, disgusted by his actions. She left him alone in the lobby, and as she entered the chamber to the reception spot, one of her assistants who noticed their interactions was concerned.
"Luna-sama, is everything alright?" she asked. Luna sighed and nodded.
"Yes, I'm fine. That jerk," she muttered, trying to forget the whole situation. She took her position at the front of the counter.
"It's okay; you have us to protect you. You're such a hard worker, and you're here every day, even if Kazuma is now with you. But we won't judge you. If you're happy, then we're happy." Her assistant patted her shoulder reassuringly. Luna smiled.
"Thanks, I feel better already," she smiled. "Now, let's take our quests to the adventurers."
"Yup! Let's do a great job today and get everything done correctly," the assistant chirped with joy.
Ko-No-Su-Ba!
"Kazuma! KAZUMA, HELP!" Aqua screamed as the pigs surrounded her.
"PURIFICATION, PURIFICATION, PURIFICATION!" She shouted random spells to the annoyance of Kazuma.
"WE'RE NOT EVEN IN WATER, YOU IDIOT GODDESS!" Kazuma screamed, trying to defeat the thirty pigs around him. He was trying to freeze the pigs to death. Darkness and Megumin were using their abilities to defeat the pigs that came at them. The harvest was infested with them, that is until...
"FIREBALL!" Kazuma screamed. Megumin did the same.
"EXPLOSION!" she shouted as well. And the pigs exploded into tiny pieces of meat scattered across the air. The rest burned to ash. Miraculously, the farmer's harvest didn't lose all his crops.
"Whew, finally," Kazuma sighed, happy that he didn't get burned or eaten by the pigs.
"Why didn't you guys do that before?" Aqua puffed her cheeks at him.
"It's called thinking of a strategy, something that you can never do," Kazuma smirked with his comeback. Aqua rolled her eyes and stuck out her tongue.
The farmer, who watched the whole ordeal from behind his barn, came out towards them.
"Thank you so much for stopping those pigs!" he thanked them politely.
Kazuma chuckled.
"Don't worry about it; the crops will still grow even if they munched on it."
The farmer smiled back and chuckled, "Let's hope it does."
Mission Success!
The four then went over to the guild and met Luna, who was ecstatic to see him.
"We finished with the—"
Luna jumped up and hugged Kazuma with her arms wide open, nearly knocking him off balance from the impact.
"Missed you," she whispered in his ear before giving his cheek a quick smooch. She could feel the heat coming off his face.
"I-It was only a few hours," Kazuma winced with a chuckle while smiling.
"Yeah, so? Still missed you."
"Ahem. You know we're right here," Megumin stated while Darkness and Aqua glared. The couple looked at them awkwardly. Luna let go of Kazuma, sheepishly scratching her head as she walked closer to them. This was a professional setting, and Luna had to raise the standard so other guild staff members could follow her lead.
"Sorry. I just haven't seen Kazuma in ages," Luna explained. Kazuma smiled warmly and grabbed her small, soft hand.
"I missed you too," he said, kissing her forehead gently. Luna giggled while blushing; she loved him so much.
"HEY!" a voice shouted. Luna sighed; not him again. Kyouya stepped out of the shadows. Why did he always do that? As soon as he stepped forward towards them, Kazuma glared at him. There was a certain tension in the lobby, and the trio looked at him worriedly as there was whispering amongst everyone in the guild.
"Y-Yes," Kazuma asked him, "Is there a problem?"
"I can't believe you. I always knew you were a scumbag adventurer, but how could you take her from me? I was the one who liked her first; she was mine," Kyouya complained. Kazuma scoffed at him; he knew he would react like this, no matter what.
Before he could speak, Luna interjected.
"How many times do I have to say it? I hate you. You're not mine. I'm with Kazuma. He's a better person than you."
"Yeah, what she said," Kazuma grinned.
Kyouya gritted his teeth. "You're getting on my nerves, Kazuma. Since you came here, I knew I didn't like you," he muttered. Look at him, taking the most beautiful woman in the whole town. Most men would lust after her, but she was always in blissful ignorance. The one person he truly liked, and yet she was taken away from him.
Kazuma wasn't fazed by him. "Are you going to leave by your legs or by a stretcher? Your choice," he stated, motioning his hand as if he was going to conjure his magic. Kyouya rolled his eyes and walked away, yelling out to the guild that he was going to have Luna one way or another.
"He's so creepy," Darkness shuddered. Even for her, that was a little too much.
Ko-No-Su-Ba
Kazuma and Luna were under a tree behind her home, enjoying some time together after her shift ended. Luna felt very uncomfortable walking alone with Kyouya around the town, always lurking, so Kazuma agreed to spend the night with her like he always did. He probably would have followed her even if she didn't ask him because it was natural for them.
"Thanks for protecting me," Luna said, caressing his brown hair. Kazuma was laying his head on her lap, her cool thighs making him feel perfectly content.
"I wasn't going to let him do anything. He wouldn't care," Kazuma replied. It was quiet for a while, the two just enjoying the sunset that was coming.
"Kazuma, what do you see in me?" she asked, looking down at him. He looked up and smiled.
"I see my future," he quietly stated. Her heart fluttered inside of her chest, feeling excited and surprised to hear those words come out of his mouth. It was nice hearing such sweet things; it filled her with a sense of happiness, and it made her feel warm. His answer touched her deeply, so deeply, and she wondered why she was never able to see that in herself sometimes.
"Do you want me to be your future wife?" she asked. Kazuma bit his lip. The relationship was speeding fast for him, but to be honest, it was Luna. She wasn't batshit insane and had a moral compass, unlike the others. Of course, he wanted to propose to her.
"Yeah." He rebalanced himself and the seriousness of the topic and held her hands. "Luna, I want to be with you. I think you're amazing and have such a warm personality, the way you always put others above yourself without even realizing it," he said as he kissed her right hand.
"I love you," he stated, looking deep into Luna's brown eyes. "Always. I want that future to happen," Kazuma said. Luna smiled widely, tears stinging her eyes.
"Then, I guess I'll wait for you. I won't forget your words, Kazuma. Let's build that future together." Luna cutely bit her lip, lowering her eyes in a lovestruck manner.
"Such an innocent look," Kazuma thought. He leaned over and kissed her passionately. He held her waist, and she held his cheeks, their tongues gently rolling on each other. Within a few minutes of this, he almost forgot something.
"Luna, didn't you say that you had a little surprise for me?" he nudged her arm, trying to get her to remember, and her eyes widened.
"Oh, how could I forget?" Luna said. She grabbed his arms and led him inside her house. He always loved going in there; it was honestly cozier than his mansion. She led him to the kitchen and grabbed the potions.
She smiled at him, her cheeks tinted pink as she gave him a mysterious bottle with an orange theme, "Drink it."
Ohhh what's the drink for, only I have the answer, thanks so much for reading. Sorry if this chapter seemed like filler
