Chapter 75: Cheating The System
When Ezekiel saw that he was at the entrance of the dungeon without his hood up he immediately left the party to enter the dungeon again in a solo instance.
Once he had time to breathe he knew that he had to gain experience to match that boss and he hoped the rest would figure out what he had done.
His goal was to hunt as many enemies as possible only using the void mana version if the frenzy wing spell so that he could level his main options for damage as fast as possible while gaining more levels himself.
Running through the dungeon he focused his spells on taking out enemies rapidly, focusing on destroying the weak points and when that wasn't optimal he simply used overwhelming power.
The frenzy wing spell allowed him to use precision or brute force when the situation called for it.
'Tedious farming, the worst part of any mmo.'

Above the angelic continent
The glowing figure of an angel holding a flaming blade was slashing his way through beasts that flew from one particular island in the sky.

In the memories he had he knew that when the achievements he was preparing to do were actually completed they went mostly unnoticed due to the competition for completing dungeons.
If not for him War God would have been the highest level player in the game, her clan would have been at the top of the leaderboard and from every interview he could find he knew that her leadership would bring them even further.
With the rising fame of that clan he could use the smoke from their fire to hide his own growing embers.
'Once I reach the cave I have to bring my core to the peak and start the breakthrough, I hope this works the way that jerk said it did.'
Alexander had kept a few rewards on hand so that he could be prepared, he knew that part of what he was chasing was a piece of unique equipment and he wanted to see if he could get the entire set by using his rewards from other achievements.
He had been the first player to evolve his race, the first player to reach lv100, the first player to create their mana core and the first player to reach lv200.
Once he had obtained a fourth unique reward he waited until the specific events occurred so that the wake of his next achievement could be washed away by the race for dungeon completions.
He could slash through the groups of enemies with ease as he burned them away.
He could not yet master a skill he had in the past but he could replicate it in some ways.
'Every weapon that can be boosted by the affinity of the user is an incredible tool, no bonus to stats can match a 100% bonus to damage when using the weapon's active skill.'
He knew that it would take months before information about how to increase one's affinity came out but as soon as it was found people would begin to go after every source of mana they could.
In the past he knew that the players were the cause of the world gaining a spike in difficulty, the world's mana supply was like a muscle that could be worked but it had grown to handle its population before the players arrived.
Once they arrived and began to use the mana making it dry up, the world would fill back up every five days and have a greater amount than before.
It was like working a balloon to handle more air by blowing in progressively larger amounts until it was able to expand to its full size.
This higher mana density in the world wouls result in stronger monsters and more mana infused materials.
In his memory he knew that the millions of players would cause this world to develop so much that eventually the creatures in the world would have to recieve a much more aggressive hunting strategy to avoid creating elites.
Elites like he was currently slaughtering.
Each creature he killed he would store inside of his basic storage ring and then transfer to his basic storage bag.
These items were expensive but they made mass hunting so much easier as he could slay hundreds of monsters and simply fly back with them stored in a two pound bag.
He saw a creature that was directing the others and he charged it to make his path easier.

He sent a wave of burning light with his blade and used it as a distraction to enter the serpent's blind spot.
He rose from below while the serpent moved aside and his blade tore through the scales of his enemy.
The beast hissed and turned it's hood on him, mana surging his way while it's eyes glowed a deep purple.
He felt his thoughts grow sluggish and he bit his hand to fight through it, he was able to focus just in time to dodge the lightning strike the beast fired from it's mouth.
When it saw it's lightning fail it lunged in with a strike and he met it with his blade but the weight of the attack felt all wrong, then he saw why.
The tail of the serpent slapped him away with a low thud and a spark of electricity that stunned him for a moment.
'I can't let the electricity hit me to much, it would kill me before I can even end this fight.'
He roared his challenge and attacked the serpent once more, his blade flashing with red fire and golden rays of light to make the beast back away.
He would keep the serpent at a distance to overwhelm it with mana slashes from his blade since the straight lightning bolt was easier to dodge than its physical attacks.
The snake began to take more damage from the many projectiles but then it moved faster.
The more it flew the faster it moved and the more he noticed lightning traveling across its body.
'Mana enhancement! Shit! This is actually dangerous.'
He dodged the first attempt to strike him and he avoided the tail, the second he knew it would not hit him he dug his sword into its side so that it would harm itself in it's fury.
It moved away but had a foot long slash in its side which enraged it.
He kept his path to the sky island above but he never took his eye off the enemy.
The beast made a large movement to focus on him again but this banking turn was even faster than it's previous attack.
'The longer it moves the faster it gets I have to be careful.'
He pretended to do the same move again but this time he attacked it's underbelly which make it cry out in pain.
Everytime he attacked it the lightning arced to his sword which made his hands numb from trying to grip the electrified metal.
He finally activated his trump card to end this battle.

His body was engulfed in golden fire, light poured from his body and golden runes began to glow across his skin.
The fire culminated in his wings and atop his head as a golden halo while his eyes burned with heavenly light.
He began to unleash sword strikes across the air as he battled the serpent and the slashes of fire before were now the same gold as the flame on his wings.
He met the serpent's fangs with his own blade which made the serpent curl at the last second, only to be met by a mana covered fist to bash it away.

10,000 health to give him another 100% bonus to his damage.
He didn't even have 10,000 hp but if he added his healing aura on top of it he would be fine.
He could heal back a large portion of the lost health thanks to his regeneration skill and because of his passive mana regen from his mana core he could use this skill indefinitely... at a cost.
Because of how often he trained this skill to try to make his healing aura spell and holy aura spell increase in rank he had actually obtained 100% resistance to both fire and light elemental attacks.
This skill bypassed his defense though.
His physical power was easily outweighing the serpent now and as long as he wasn't subject to the electrocution debuff he would be fine.
The serpent was at half hp roughly when it made a strange move.
It vanished.
He knew that whether it was the speed of the thing or some skill he was in trouble so he began to fly away as fast as possible while watching for the beast.
Then he felt a bite on his shoulder and a crushing pressure coil around him.
Not only had the serpent gotten behind him to strike but it had managed to coil him, it was more intelligent than he thought.
That's when the lightning spread to his body.
