BNHA: Accelerator The Strongest Hero

Chapter 226: Chapter 225: A Smart Choice

While Accelerator continued pondering his next move, in the central tower's event area, All Might, unable to stop his former companion from being taken by the enemy, seemed to be building up anger and strength.

The rapid escalation of events made Accelerator uneasy.

If All Might decided to make a move, he would need to break free of his restraints quickly, defeat the enemy, and leave them no time to react.

This would align with All Might's title—the "Symbol of Peace" who strives to bring smiles to everyone.

Accelerator, already aware of All Might's dire physical condition, knew how bad things could get.

The enemies in the venue were numerous, well-positioned, and tasked with monitoring the crowd.

If All Might failed and Accelerator didn't step in, the consequences could be catastrophic.

The chain reactions would only worsen. If Accelerator were forced to reveal himself prematurely, the carefully laid strategies since arriving on "I-Island" would be exposed.

Accelerator was cautious of the third-party forces, just as they were cautious of him. The delicate chess game between the two sides would suddenly become unpredictable.

Uncertainty in the outcome meant greater risk, potentially leading to sacrifices.

It would be akin to the near-miss Accelerator once had with a diversionary tactic.

At the moment when the confrontation between Accelerator and the mysterious third-party force reached its most intense phase, an unexpected ally joined the fray. This timely intervention managed to partially stop All Might's worst-case scenario.

Dressed in a brown suit, Midoriya Izuku was crouched on the third-floor railing of the central tower. He cautiously used his phone's flashlight to draw All Might's attention. Once he confirmed that All Might noticed his signal, he turned to Jiro Kyoka, who was clearly using her Quirk, and asked for confirmation.

"Jiro, I'm starting now, okay?"

Using her Quirk, [Earphone Jack], Jiro connected the jacks extending from her ears to the ground. After double-checking, she replied:

"All set. Go ahead."

After a brief exchange, the surveillance footage showed that All Might had seemingly abandoned the worst-case plan. For Accelerator, this was the best kind of "assist" he could have hoped for.

Meanwhile, the students gathered outside the activity hall discussed their options and arrived at the most rational decision, taking into account natural forces and other considerations.

Class 1-A's students had clearly decided that, even in this extreme situation—where pro heroes were being controlled and even All Might was temporarily restrained—they would not abandon anyone. Instead, they were willing to risk their own safety to save others.

Accelerator had initially worried that the students might blindly follow All Might's final instructions and regret it later. However, his classmates didn't disappoint him. Rather than giving up without trying, they held on to their determination to save others. For first-year students (hero trainees), this was an incredibly tough decision. As All Might once said, being a hero means risking your life to uphold the promises you've made.

Watching his classmates in action, Accelerator couldn't help but laugh.

"Hmph, I've got to admit, these guys did a decent job."

"Smart choices. They truly deserve to be the hero trainees I've been observing."

The students' target was the security system control center at the top of the central tower. The timing was also ideal. Due to the enemy's "invasion" and control of the security system, the built-in authentication and passwords were theoretically deactivated. Once they completed a system reboot, the mission would be a success.

If they could avoid detection by the enemy, there was a good chance the students could save everyone on their own. As they climbed the tower, Accelerator finally locked onto the positions of the enemy trio.

The trio had been intentionally avoiding Ene's surveillance in unusual ways. Since vector manipulation and city-wide monitoring had their limitations, Accelerator didn't hesitate to employ a third method: brute force cracking.

This was a method he couldn't have achieved back in his Academy City days or even in the early stages of his time in this world. It was only after undergoing significant growth that Accelerator mastered this approach.

From the moment he first observed the enemy trio, Accelerator had been using vector sensing to record their specific vector data. However, in the past, his vector sensing couldn't accurately establish a whitelist in densely populated areas. It required immense time and computational effort to search for targets individually, akin to finding a needle in a haystack.

What's more, the density of people and activities on "I-Island" (during the pre-event phase) far exceeded several city blocks. Since the enemy wasn't using a teleportation-like ability to move quickly and external satellite monitoring hadn't detected them, focusing on life signs became the priority.

Although it took a considerable amount of time, Accelerator relied on the "slow and steady" method—analyzing the trio's recorded walking patterns, physical traits, and muscle memory similarities under strict conditions—to finally locate them.

At that moment, Accelerator's classmates urgently arrived at the 80th floor of the central tower.

Because the steel gate was shut, they stopped in front of it, discussing what to do. Mineta Minoru, exhausted and acting impulsively, reached out to pull the gate.

If it weren't for Ene's interference, the masked man's team would have already noticed the classmates' presence.

Watching this unfold, the excited blue AI girl Ene, spinning around energetically, asked her master,

"Master, what should we do now?"

Accelerator, having already anticipated various unexpected situations, had accounted for Mineta Minoru's foolish behavior in his plans.

With a cold smirk, he gave Ene an order:

"Transfer the feed and location of the trio to the masked man's surveillance. At the same time, use [I-Island's] monitoring systems to track the masked team's 'hunters.'"

The footage of Smith's trio on the 150th floor hallway was also sent to the masked man's monitors.

The masked man didn't hesitate and ordered his subordinates,

"Everyone near the 150th floor, go capture those three immediately. Do not let a single one escape!

Bring them in alive or dead!"
