Born as Gojo Satoru Cousin

Chapter 27: Bad Reputation of Jujutsu Higher-Ups

Eiji sat in the outer corridor, gazing at the koi pond in front of him, reflecting on the previous battle.

"Although Limitless Technique is incredibly powerful, it doesn't mean it has no weaknesses. One of its biggest weaknesses is that its destructive power is unsuitable for use in public places. The Limitless Technique has tremendous destructive power, which can endanger everyone around the user, be it friend or foe."

"This is also why Satoru Nii-san chooses to fight alone against his enemies."

Like his cousin, Eiji also worked alone in exterminating Cursed Spirits.

Moreover, he rarely used large-scale attacks to avoid destroying the surrounding environment.

Typically, he relied on his extraordinary physical abilities and Infinity to defend himself while eliminating Cursed Spirits.

Due to this approach, Eiji took quite some time to defeat Chi Lang. If he were serious, the fight would have ended in the blink of an eye, and the person hiding in the ground wouldn't have had a chance to ambush him.

Realizing this, Eiji shook his head and said calmly, "Whoever planned this assassination has analyzed my psychology well and exploited it."

"Just because I'm strong doesn't mean I can underestimate schemes and plots. Anyway, Satoru Nii-san is sealed in the Prison Realm because of Kenjaku's scheme."

Eiji couldn't help but recall Lin Fan's memories.

"Calmness is crucial for Jujutsu Sorcerers in battles." He muttered in a low voice.

Having a third-person perspective, he could analyze and understand why his cousin fell into that scheme, even though his instincts warned him of the dangerous Cursed Object nearby.

"In a fight, Jujutsu Sorcerers lose their advantage if they involve excessive emotions. For instance, when a Jujutsu Sorcerer feels extreme anger seeing a comrade severely injured or even dead. 'Calmness' is the primary weapon in every battle because with it, one can enhance the five main senses in the body, enabling better focus and unleashing the full potential of the body."

"A real example of a Jujutsu Sorcerer succumbing to excessive emotions is Satoru Nii-san when he saw Suguru-san in Shibuya. At that moment, his instincts sensed that he was in danger if he approached the Prison Realm. However, seeing Suguru-san's body there, Satoru Nii-san became uneasy and stunned for a few moments. That strategy was used to seal him."

Eiji was sure that if he lost his composure when stabbed by the Inverted Spear of Heaven, his thinking would become irrational, and he might make the wrong decision. After all, the pain of being stabbed was not something an ordinary person could endure.

"Could this ambush strategy be planned by Kenjaku?"

He didn't rule out this possibility.

The Six Eyes' bearer was one of the biggest obstacles for Kenjaku to realize his plans.

The presence of Gojo Satoru alone forced Kenjaku to be cautious in every action to avoid detection. And now, the second bearer of the Six Eyes, Kamiki Eiji, added a variable to his plans.

No wonder Kenjaku wanted to eliminate Eiji.

Even so, Kenjaku never took direct action or revealed himself in front of Satoru and Eiji.

Eiji suspected that Kenjaku was still traumatized by his two defeats in the past at the hands of the Six Eyes' bearer.

"There are two main suspects in this incident, the first being Kenjaku, and the second being the Jujutsu Higher-Ups."

"Considering the bad reputation of the Jujutsu Higher-Ups, it's not impossible that they are the culprits."

Closing his eyes, Eiji accessed Lin Fan's memories and searched for information about the Jujutsu Higher-Ups.

Very little was revealed about the Jujutsu Higher-Ups, and they were known in a rather negative light.

The Jujutsu Higher-Ups usually opposed letting stronger Jujutsu Sorcerers roam freely. For example, the indefinite suspension of Hakari Kinji from Jujutsu High School was a milder consequence for their defiance.

The Jujutsu Higher-Ups tended to lean toward conservatism while imposing strict restrictions on powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers they deemed a threat.

"Well, this strange policy might be a response to the exploitation of Sukuna during the Heian Era. From the historical records kept in the Gojo Family library, during the Heian era, Jujutsu Sorcerers were not bound by any laws to keep their existence or abilities secret. Each Jujutsu Sorcerer risked their lives and treated Jujutsu like a sport, and death matches were common."

"Ryomen Sukuna flourished in this violent era and became powerful enough to earn a terrifying title for himself: King of Curses. His death was eventually caused by a group of Jujutsu Sorcerers who fought together to defeat him. Although the Higher-Ups' reluctance to fully postpone the execution of Itadori Yuji seems cruel, it is still their best chance to eliminate Sukuna once and for all."

"After living in fear of the legendary King of Curses for so long, it makes sense that their spontaneous reaction to his potential return is to destroy the Cursed Object and its vessel. Anyway, the life of a young man seems inconsequential compared to the threat posed by Sukuna."

"The fact that Sukuna has regained full autonomy and can be argued to be even stronger than when he was in the Heian Era only proves the fear of the Jujutsu Higher-Ups. The number of casualties caused by Sukuna during the Shibuya Incident is more than enough justification for the actions of the Jujutsu Higher-Ups."

Eiji analyzed from the perspective of the Jujutsu Higher-Ups.

He did not personally know Itadori Yuji, and there were no personal feelings involved, so he thought very rationally.

He was unlike his cousin who involved his emotions in deciding the execution of Yuji. Moreover, Satoru believed that revitalizing the Jujutsu world rested in the hands of the younger generation.

"The actions of the Jujutsu Higher-Ups in executing Yuji make sense, but not all their policies are correct. They made Masamichi Yaga a scapegoat for the Shibuya incident, but their real goal was for him to disclose the secrets of the fully autonomous Cursed Corpses."

"If not for Satoru Nii-san as a deterrent, I'm sure they would also have executed Okotsu Yuta. Anyone who poses a threat to the Jujutsu Higher-Ups, they will try to eliminate."

"And I am one of the threats to them. In the end, there are more negatives than positives."

Opening his eyes, Eiji's mind was clear.

He didn't have evidence of the involvement of the Jujutsu Higher-Ups in this assassination attempt, but the appearance of the Inverted Spear of Heaven replica was a clue.

Creating a Cursed Tool with the ability to cancel all Cursed Techniques was not easy. If it were that simple, the Jujutsu Higher-Ups wouldn't be afraid of Satoru.

"Haaa... Life is really not easy, huh."

Feeling tired from overthinking, Eiji took a candy, opened its wrapper, and sucked on it.

"Hey, Eiji, I heard you got injured. How does it feel, painful, isn't it?"

The cheerful voice of a man sounded from behind.

"Welcome home, Satoru Nii-san."
