Chapter 1255: Moving To The Forest Of Beginnings
-----
We ran upstairs, opening the door towards Ambil's shop and quickly calling for him if he was around. Luckily, we found him, he was having lunch with a bunch of friends!
"Oh my, well, this is a good surprise. You're finally back, good friends."
"Ah! Planta! Hey! You're finally back!"
"Look who's back! We've been waiting or you all day, where have you been?"
"Lady Planta, I'm relieved you're back… About what you promised me…"
"We've come here as you requested too."
"Yeah! Will you really make us your disciples?"
"We also came for the work you promised!"
"Lady Planta! I have to thank you again for having healed us yesterday."
It was all the people we made friends in the Craftsmanship Competition!
Erdragon, the gentlemanly Dragon Man, Goldanaba, the flirty Brownie woman that really loves gold, Horshen, the grump fire spirit magic-wielding Dwarf, Melisa, the cursed girl I saved from that insane Alchemist Guild master, BlackEye and Erika, the newbies full of potential, and Clark and Kent, alongside a couple other participants that had been wounded by that wicked trio of brothers, and which I healed.
"You're finally here! Did you know? David just came here asking for you, he said there was a meeting you should have already gone to with the King and the Queen regarding what they'll do starting tomorrow," said Ambil. "And you have yet to even show up! I know you got another whole world out there but if you make yourself such an important person you should try to be more present!"
"I'm so sorry about that!" I apologized. "And welcome everyone! Glad you're here! We can talk about everything in a bit… For now we're in quite the hurry!"
"Hurry? What happened?" Melisa wondered.
"You see, the forest where we come from is under attack from Undead Gates, those from the new event," said Mark. "And they're sure a pain, we have to go help out the forest. I know they can handle things on their own, but we don't know for how long."
"T-That's right! We have to hurry!" I said. "We're moving to the Druid Guild to get there through the portal. Do you guys want to come as well?"
"Wait, what?" wondered Ambil. "I guess I should go, I do owe you quite a lot…"
"So undead monsters are invading your homeland, lady Planta?" said Erdragon, standing up. "Let me assist you then, that is the very least I could do for a friend."
"Erdragon! Really?" I felt moved.
"Let me go too," Melisa said. "The Undead are from the Demon King of Death, don't they? The Demon Kings are the ones that made me the way I am now… so I want to get back at them, even if a bit."
"Melisa! I'll get your accessory done right after we finish fending them off then!" I said.
"I'm going as well! I'm traveling around the world so I might as well see that huge forest for myself!" said Horshen. "There might be unique materials, I hope you could let me collect some later."
"Sure! There are mines full of Spirit Stones and other Magic Ores, so you're free to take some later as payment for your help," I said.
"Ugh, I guess I'm going too? I don't want to lose face," groaned Goldana.
"Ahh, thanks?" I said.
"Me too, I need to level up more. And I want to try my abilities- Also, perhaps as a way to thank you for saving me yesterday," said BlackEye.
"Me too! Me too!" Erika jumped. "I can fight just fine!"
"We're going as well!"
"Yes of course!"
"Please let us assist you."
"Thank you guys!"
Although crafters and blacksmiths mostly create equipment, that doesn't mean they're weak themselves. If anything they're usually very strong and have amazing equipment to go with it.
"Then let's hurry and go! I'll leave a ward to protect the house, so nobody enters," I said.
As we ran outside, I quickly conjured a powerful Divine Ward that lasts like four hours, it was cheap and almost indestructible, no demons can pass through it also.
"Let's go!"
We ran across the streets, causing a bit of a ruckus, but both Players and NPC recognized us, some of them even calling my name multiple times.
"It's Planta!"
"It's her, really!"
"Holy shit! Please let me take a selfie with you!"
"Planta are you selling spirit equipment again?"
"Got any spirit weapons?!"
"I'm sorry everyone, we're busy right now! Please don't bother us…"
I rushed forward and quickly used my Aura to open the way so the people wouldn't get on our way, quickly reaching the Druid Guild, and opening the door.
The smell of wet wood and mud entered my nostrils, as I saw bugs flying around and also frogs on the floor, around small ponds.
Yes this was the Druid Guild Building, granny Austucia had modified the first floor to resemble a swamp as it kept her more connected with Nature or something.
"Oh my! You guys are back already?" granny greeted us, she was sitting over the wet floor while surrounded by frogs and salamanders. "Just now, a bunch of your little friend went through the portal. Oh? You've brought a lot of new friends here? Hm?"
"Ah yes, they're crafters, alchemists, and blacksmith friends!" I said. "Earlier, those people. Were they Acorn and Nieve?"
"I think so!" said the Druid lady. "Also Johana accompanied them too. They said something about an invasion?"
"Yeah that's it, so we're going!" I said. "We'll come back once that's settled!"
"O-Okay! I'll watch over the portal then!" she said. "Do your best!"
As she waved her hand, I noticed her powerful Nature Soul emerging from her body briefly as I passed through the portal, suddenly expanding around the building.
And then I realized that whole building was somewhat alive, and part of her Nature Soul itself!
It trembled, as its defenses and durability were reinforced.
Wow, that's amazing.
Maybe I should do the same for my house, and even the house I'll have in this city too.
But for now, let's beat some Undead!
It always feels nicer to hunt monsters with my Avatar than with my IRL body, to be honest…
