Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Jimin sat on the bed, gazing at the wall, the whispers echoed in his ears, constantly telling him the same things again and again.
"You don't deserve to be happy"
"You deserve pain."
" You're a killer."
Jimin's hands trembled as he slowly raised them to his ears, pressing hard in an attempt to shut out the voices. He rubbed at them desperately, as if the act could erase the words from his mind, but the whispers didn't stop. They grew louder, clawing at his thoughts, refusing to leave him alone.
Then suddenly, Jimin recalled that gesture of Taehyung, which made him feel not just comfortable but familiar with Taehyung. He put his palm on his mouth and blew some air, it didn't work like before.
Taehyung carried something that felt almost magical. The warmth of his hand brought Jimin a sense of security, a feeling he hadn't experienced since a very long time. When Taehyung was near, it seemed as though Jimin always knew him.
But no matter how hard he tried, Jimin couldn't recall a single memory of Taehyung. The familiarity tightened it's grip at him, an unshakable feeling that lingered in the back of his mind, stirring questions he couldn't answer.
Why did Taehyung feel so familiar? And why couldn't Jimin let it go? He wanted to see Taehyung, to feel that warmth of him again. Jimin knew that the therapy sessions were his only chance to see Taehyung.
But the thought terrified him. What if Taehyung left him, just like everyone else had? The fear gripped him tightly, making it hard to breathe, yet the hope of seeing Taehyung again kept pulling him back.

Taehyung sat comfortably at the couch placed at the center of his living room, having a glass of liquor. Anger burned within him, hating that for a moment, he grew weak in front of Areum, and now as he took the slow sips of his drink, each moment he spent with Areum wandered in his mind.
Taehyung remembered Areum's smile and how she once brought a little light to his life. But now, those memories only made him angry. He had let his guard down around her, and he couldn't afford that mistake. Areum couldn't be another obstacle in his fight to save Jimin.
Taehyung shook all the unnecessary thoughts away, as he desperately wanted to work on Jimin's case, since the day he got his license as a psychologist. But Yeosan hospital, never hire inexperienced doctor, so he worked hard day and night, to become a youngest doctor who achieve such a big success.
The second step of his progress was to dig in Dr. Lee's past, as he was in charge of Jimin's case. To achieve this goal, Taehyung approached Min Yoongi, a well known media analyst and news anchor, who has connection with many powerful politicians.
Min Yoongi was trying to expose Dr. Lee since a very long time. Through the help of Yoongi, Taehyung discovered the darkest secrets, Dr. Lee had been keeping from the world.
Dr. Lee had been working with some most powerful higher ups of Seoul, from politicians to celebrities, the list of his patients was long and luxurious. No doubts he was considered a best psychologist in the country, who made a huge amount of money, bit what people didn't that all that money came through many illegal activities. However, his worst act of brutality was his inhumane experiments with his patients, during the years of 1990 to 1995.
Later, Dr. Lee shut down the hospital, when few media generalist discovered his illegal activities, and joined Yeosan in 1996, but his cruelty didn't end yet.
Although Dr. Lee stopped his inhumane experiment, but he kept torturing his patients, for the sake of money, he would take money and strategically killed his patients, later presenting the case as a suicide note. Within the time, Yeosan hospital became a living hell for those patients who would get abandoned by their own loved ones.
Even if Taehyung revealed everything related to Yeosan and thier cunning activities, he still wouldn't be able to save Jimin. He needed something more than just the dark truth about Dr. Lee's identity, that could divert people interest in Jimin.
He sat exhausted, having his drink and smoking his cigarettes. His mind stopped working, it seemed someone trapped in an endless street. But Taehyung knew, he couldn't allowed himself to loose his hope.
Taehyung didn't realize an hour had been passed and he already smoked ten cigarettes, that certainly wasn't a good sign. It meant things getting stressful, and he began to loose his patience, he needed to control the situation.
Taehyung adjusted himself, he grabbed his pen and his pad, then began to note down the important things related to Jimin.
"• Jimin was accused of killing his younger brother, Jisun.
• Despite being found near Jisun's dead body, there was no solid evidence.
• Jimin's parents abandoned him in mental hospital after Jisun's death.
• Jimin suffers from seizures, hallucinations, and memory issues.
• He's been silent and isolated on the fourth floor for last ten years.
• Management and Dr. Lee stopped his treatment, tagged him as a hopeless patient.
• I have evidence that could pull Dr. Lee down, but it won't be any help, because management will eventually hire a new doctor for the hospital."
Taehyung paused, he tossed the pen on the table and gulped down the remaining drink. " I need a strategy to control a situation....I need to plan something." He repeated.
Taehyung read his notes over and over, then suddenly a plan began to form in his mind. He grabbed his phone and sent a message to Yoongi's number, as it was the time to do something bigger.
"We need to meet, Hyung."
