Bai Cheng's mouth twitched, and he forced a strained smile. "Mo Yu, to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit today?"

"Oh? It seems Senior Bai Cheng has a short memory. Did you forget our recent wager in the arena?" Mo Yu replied with a faint smile. "You swore in front of so many people that if you lost to me, you'd relinquish your position as leader of the White Gang. Does that ring any bells?"

Hearing this, Bai Cheng's expression darkened. Unable to deny it in front of so many witnesses, he responded grimly, "Now that you mention it, I recall the bet. But let's be practical—White Gang is something I built from scratch. Even if I step down, taking over the position isn't as easy as you think. How about this: I'll pay you 500 Fire Energy to buy back my leadership position. You'd still come out on top, don't you think?"

Mo Yu shook his head. "I'm quite interested in the leadership role, so I'll have to decline. Senior Bai Cheng should step aside gracefully."

Bai Cheng's face sank as he exchanged a quick glance with Bai Shan. Then he sneered, "Fine, I'll step down. But whether you can hold onto the position...that's another story!"

With that, Bai Cheng rose from his seat, motioning for Mo Yu to take it.

Unperturbed, Mo Yu stepped forward and sat down, his eyes scanning the White Gang members below. He leaned back, a faint, inscrutable smile playing on his lips.

Seeing Mo Yu in his former seat, Bai Cheng's face turned dark as he recalled his plan. A sly grin crept across his face. "Well, since you're now our leader, I have a request. I hope Leader Mo Yu will agree."

"Oh? And what would that be?" Mo Yu asked, noticing Bai Cheng's calculating expression.

"Since White Gang has a new leader, I no longer wish to stay here. Please permit me to leave the White Gang."

"Granted."

As the former leader, Mo Yu didn't plan on keeping Bai Cheng around, so he readily accepted his departure. Bai Cheng's eyes gleamed with satisfaction, and he glanced at Fu Ao and the others.

With Bai Cheng's silent cue, Fu Ao stepped forward. Remembering his painful defeat in the arena, he wore a solemn expression as he saluted Mo Yu, "Leader Mo Yu, I have a request as well."

"What is it?" Mo Yu asked, seeing Bai Cheng's plotting with a disdainful smile.

"Leader Mo Yu, I joined the Inner Academy the same year as Leader Bai Cheng, and we share a deep bond. Since he's leaving the White Gang, I'd like to follow him. Please allow it."

As soon as he finished, other White Gang members stood up one by one, asking to leave as well. The entire White Gang seemed on the brink of disbanding.

Mo Yu hesitated briefly, then gave Bai Cheng a cool smile.

Seeing Mo Yu's calm expression, Bai Cheng felt a nagging sense of unease, though he couldn't pinpoint why.

The dark blue trident radiated a powerful water element aura, and at the tips, faint blue light pulsed with a mysterious glow, creating ripples in the air as if even the surrounding space was lightly tinted in blue.

Watching Bai Cheng's lonely departure, Mo Yu chuckled coldly. It seemed that Bai Cheng's influence in White Gang was limited after all.

Turning back to the loyal, elite members, a wave of excitement surged through Mo Yu. He declared loudly, "Since you've chosen me as your leader, the name 'White Gang' will cease to exist. From now on, the Inner Academy will only know the Mo Gang!"
