Chapter 69: A Chapter to the Readers
Chapter 69: A Chapter to the Readers
Well, I have an announcement—good news for me, but possibly bad news for everyone else.
Tomorrow, on the 1st, this book will be going premium.
This means that from the next chapter onward, it will require payment to read.
Of course, I really hope that many people will subscribe to my book—after all, making money is a good thing.
But the reality isn't that optimistic. Everyone is busy struggling through life, and not everyone has spare money to spend on novels. Especially with the recent pandemic, people are trying to save money wherever they can.
Reading pirated versions is normal. Even though I'm an author, I sometimes read pirated content too, because sometimes I really don't have the extra money, but I still really want to read.
Besides, some authors stretch out their content too much, making readers feel that the chapters aren't worth paying for. I understand that too.
For those who can support the official version by subscribing, I sincerely thank you.
As for those who read pirated versions—honestly, I won't be happy about it, but I won't curse anyone either. Everyone has their difficulties, and we should try to understand each other instead of spreading hostility. That's also the core message of this book.
I just hope that for those reading the pirated version, if you come across a plot that makes you unhappy later on, please try to hold back a little and avoid leaving negative comments. Not only would it upset me, but it would also affect the experience of the readers who are supporting the official version.
Additionally, regarding comments—as long as they don't contain personal attacks or excessively subjective opinions, I will keep them. I don't think my book is so good that it should receive only positive reviews. Everyone has different perspectives, and there will always be various interpretations.
Some negative comments can even point out things I hadn't noticed, allowing me to realize my mistakes and improve. I actually welcome that.
However, if someone comes in just to insult me outright, sorry, but I will permanently ban them, regardless of whether they are a premium reader or not. I hope you can understand.
To the readers who think my writing is good, I really appreciate your support. But if you see negative comments, it's fine to vent a little, just try not to escalate into full-blown arguments.
At the end of the day, reading a novel is meant to be enjoyable. There's no need to get into heated fights and ruin your mood over it.
This book is essentially a practice piece for me. Although there are some flaws, overall, I am fairly satisfied with it.
Regarding the power scaling, I hope everyone doesn't dwell on it too much. Even I don't think too deeply about it. This novel focuses more on the development of the plot—perhaps it could even be considered a faction-struggle novel?
As for the gender swaps, I wrote them on impulse. Honestly, they weren't necessary—like turning Xiao Yan's older and second brothers into women. It was just something I found amusing at the time, without any deeper meaning. But now, it's hard to change, so I'll just take it as a lesson learned.
Tomorrow, I will be uploading five days' worth of chapters—ten chapters in total. After that, I will maintain a schedule of two chapters per day while also stockpiling drafts, aiming to finish the novel within six months and move on to writing my next original novel.
Also, just a small complaint—I originally didn't plan to go premium tomorrow, but the editor suddenly informed me that the 1st was the set date. I don't even have a stockpile of drafts ready, so I have to pull an all-nighter tonight.
Finally, once again, I sincerely thank all my readers for their continued support. I will keep working hard to write a story that brings joy and satisfaction to everyone. I hope you will continue to support me.
