Chapter 121

As soon as Zi Yan approached, a violent surge of energy erupted from within the training room. Even through the thick, heavy door, the cyan Dou Qi could be clearly seen.

Startled, Zi Yan jumped back on her short legs, retreating several steps. Her gem like eyes widened as she stared at the training room door with a vigilant expression.

Elder Liu was utterly confused. He had never heard of anyone getting along well with this little demoness.

"Ah! Put me down! I hate this the most!" Zi Yan panicked, flailing her arms and legs wildly, trying to escape his grasp.

Lu Bu chuckled at her reaction but didn't tease her for long. He set her down gently.

"Alright, what's up?" Lu Bu asked with a smile, patting her head affectionately. Since her hair was tied in a ponytail this time, he refrained from messing with her hairstyle.

"Jie…" Zi Yan scratched her head bashfully. "My pills… I ran out of them!"

"Alright, give me the ingredients, and I'll refine more for you," Lu Bu said with a laugh.

"Then come with me to the Medicine Storage Hall. I'll grab some there," Zi Yan said with a cheerful smile, her large eyes curving into crescent moons.

Lu Bu frowned and pressed his hand on her little head. If she had already gone to the storage hall, there wasn't much he could say. But if she hadn't, there was no way he would let her go.

"Hold on, don't be in such a rush." Lu Bu stopped the overly excited Zi Yan, who looked like she might jump into the air with joy. "I need to head back first. Do you want to come with me?"

"Uh… you can go by yourself. I'm not going," Zi Yan replied, rolling her bright eyes cutely. She wasn't interested in seeing anyone else in the Inner Academy. After all, they always called her the 'Brute Force Queen,' which wasn't fun at all.

"I'll go prepare some things too. Let's meet back here later, but don't even think about ditching me!" Zi Yan bared her little pearly white teeth and threatened fiercely.

Satisfied, Zi Yan nodded and unfurled her Dou Qi wings, flying off into the distance.

Descending from the sky, Lu Bu noticed that the sect was thriving with activity. Members were dressed in matching green and red outfits, each adorned with a unified emblem a pair of purple black wings combined with a blood red black ruler.

Seeing this, Lu Bu's expression darkened slightly. Sure enough, while he was away, Xiao Xun'er and Nalan Yanran had taken the opportunity to sneak in their personal touches!
