Buggy D Clown

Chapter 125: Chapter 124 A Family of Secrets

Uncle…Buggy?

Uta froze, her eyes wide in confusion. When did I have an uncle? Her mind raced. Buggy?

Without hesitation, Uta opened the door. There, standing under the light, was a tall, imposing figure with his hands casually tucked into his pockets. He wore a white cloak and a white suit, and his blue ponytail flowed behind him like a banner. His striking Oda-style makeup made him instantly recognizable.

This was the man she had been thinking about recently, the one whose name resonated throughout the seas—Godslayer, Dreamer, Clown Emperor—Buggy!

But what was this about him being her "uncle"?

"Are you… Buggy... captain of the God-Slayer Pirates?" Uta's voice wavered slightly, uncertainty creeping in.

"No one but me can reach the top of Adam at this hour," Buggy replied, spreading his hands in a carefree gesture. "I wasn't planning to see you so soon, but well… Your dad hung up on me and told me to check on you, so you wouldn't cause any trouble."

"My father…"

Uta froze, her mind racing. Her thoughts quickly turned to Buggy's relationship with Shanks—former crewmates on Roger's ship. Then it clicked.

"Shanks?!"

"If not?" Buggy shrugged, the corners of his mouth curling into a smirk. "Who else would have the nerve to hang up on me? He wanted to listen to your concert, but when he found out you were coming to my empire, he panicked and told me to take care of his baby girl."

At that, Uta's expression darkened, her face becoming cold.

"He abandoned me. So why should he still have the right to be called my father? There was no connection between us the moment he left me more than ten years ago!"

Buggy's smile remained, though it was tinged with amusement. "Well… I don't care about your relationship with him. Honestly, that's between you two." He paused, his tone turning more serious. "He did say your abilities could cause damage to my territory, so here I am, checking on you. And now that I see you…"

He tilted his head slightly, his eyes narrowing with playful disappointment. "…I'm a little disappointed."

"Maybe your Devil Fruit ability is impressive, and maybe even awakened, but to be honest, it's practically worthless in front of the top powerhouses. Do you know why?"

Uta's expression was one of shock. She hadn't expected such a blunt statement. With a spark of defiance, she retorted, "Oh really? You want to test that?"

"You can try," Buggy replied with a smile, his tone dripping with casual confidence. "Just a little lesson for you, kid. Paramecia—Uta Uta no Mi, right?"

"Has Shanks even told you about this?" Buggy raised an eyebrow.

Uta narrowed her eyes, and without hesitation, she unleashed a note.

Buzz!

In an instant, Buggy was pulled into a completely different world. One moment, he stood atop the treasure tree of Adam. The next, he found himself in what resembled a concert venue—surrounded by extravagant lights and an audience filled with people, all seemingly created by her Devil Fruit.

The cheers were deafening, like a tidal wave of sound.

"Uta! Uta! Uta!"

Floating down from the stage, Uta appeared before Buggy, holding a microphone in her hand. She smiled warmly, her eyes locking onto his as she spoke, her voice filled with pride.

"Buggy, welcome to my world! A world without war, without hunger, without intrigue—just peace. I call it the New Age."

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Buggy raised his hands, clapping with mock enthusiasm. He nodded slowly in appreciation.

"Nice ability, nice idea, but it's a bit naïve," he said, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. "A phantom made of bubbles that can be shattered at a touch? Why would you be so proud of something so fragile?"

Uta's eyes snapped to him, narrowing dangerously. Her gentle smile vanished, replaced by a glare that sent a clear message: he had crossed a line. "How dare you!" Her voice, once sweet and melodic, now held a sharp edge, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "As much as I respect you, you're crossing a line disrespecting my dreams like that!"

Her fists clenched, and the air around her crackled with energy. "In my world, I'm the master. And you... you won't be able to resist me." Her eyes burned with intensity, her pride and her dreams unwilling to be ignored.

She took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down, but her words were tinged with defiance. "Fine. Maybe only by seeing my true strength will you understand."

Buggy, completely unfazed, casually raised his hand as if inviting her to proceed. "Please, begin your performance," he said, his voice smooth and relaxed, almost bored.

Uta huffed and pouted, clearly irritated by his nonchalant attitude. "You! Humph!" she snapped, crossing her arms. "Buggy, you're underestimating me." Her tone was a mixture of indignation and a kind of childish stubbornness. "You'll regret this. You'll see just how wrong you are!"

She was, after all, Uta—the diva who could bend an entire world to her will. And she wasn't about to let anyone dismiss her dream so easily.

With a swift motion, she waved the microphone in her hand, transforming it into a sharp spear. Her white one-piece miniskirt morphed into battle armor that gleamed with intensity. Pointing the spear at Buggy, she declared, "Buggy, don't be surprised when you're crying by the end of this! Come, my knights!"

As she raised the spear, the notemen seated in the auditorium on either side began to shift. One by one, they transformed into steeds, and knights mounted them, their spears poised and ready. The air was filled with the charge of at least a thousand knights, all descending on Buggy from every direction.

"I have to admit, your ability is pretty impressive," Buggy said with a wry smile, shaking his head. "But still, Shanks' ability to raise children is very similar to a certain monkey I know. You've got potential, but if you were with me, you wouldn't be so reckless as to attack me."

He looked out at the approaching knights, his gaze unshaken. "Don't you get it? No matter how powerful your Devil Fruit ability is, if you can't even master Haki, it means nothing. In this world, Haki reigns supreme."

With a sigh, he continued, "Even if I just stand here and let you attack, it won't harm me in the slightest. This is the strength of the world's top powerhouses."

Boom!

As soon as the words left his mouth, the air around Buggy crackled with energy. Black and gold Haki burst forth like flames, expanding into a massive aura that radiated from him, forming a nearly impenetrable barrier two or three meters in every direction.

Buggy stood there, arms folded, as the knights charged toward him, their spears aimed directly at his chest.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The sound of countless spears striking metal filled the air. The knights' attacks, dozens at a time, clanged against the black and gold flame-like Haki surrounding Buggy. Yet, despite their relentless barrage, none of their spears made it past the barrier. The flames didn't even ripple, and their weapons felt utterly useless—like mosquitoes tapping at an iron wall.

Uta stared, her eyes wide with disbelief. "How… How is that even possible!?"

Uta gasped in shock, her voice trembling with disbelief. "I've used this trick to take down countless pirates in the New World, including Charlotte Owen of the Big Mom Pirates! Why is it useless against you? Owen's Haki was strong too!"

Buggy blinked in confusion, his voice dripping with incredulity. "How are you comparing Owen, son of big mom to me? There's no comparison. I have defeated Big Mom herself. No matter what Oven can be compared to the monster Big Mom is. There is a reason why is she still the captain of Big Mom pirates even after being defeated by me."

Uta froze, unsure how to respond. She gritted her teeth, determined to prove herself. "No, I don't believe it! You'd better be careful next time, Buggy! This is my strongest move—everything I've got!"

Zizizizi...

With a wave of her hand, Uta summoned a barrage of cannons that suddenly appeared in the sky above the concert venue. The circle of cannons, mounted on floating staves, all turned to face Buggy.

"Fire!!!"

At her command, the ten thousand cannons fired in unison, their blasts shaking the very air as they hurtled toward Buggy.

Buggy's lips curled into a smirk, a slight twitch betraying his amusement. He shook his head, his voice low but filled with disdain. "The ignorant are always so fearless…"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Before he could even finish speaking, a storm of artillery blasts engulfed him. The small stage where he had been standing was swallowed whole by the barrage, and explosions lit up the sky, sending flames soaring into the air.

Uta, from her perch on the high platform, bit her lip in worry. A nervous thought crossed her mind: Is he going to blow himself up?

But then she shook her head, trying to convince herself. No, he's the strongest of the Four Emperors. He won't die that easily. Even if things get too intense, he can always escape, right?

As the fire and smoke filled the air, Uta raised her hand, summoning a powerful wind that swept the debris and flames away, clearing the sky. But when the smoke cleared, the sight before her left her completely stunned.

"What!? How can this be!?" Uta's large purple eyes widened in disbelief.

She couldn't believe her eyes—before her, the man still stood unmoved, arms crossed, his figure unwavering. The black-gold aura surrounding him showed no sign of weakening.

"It's impossible..."

Buggy shook his head in exasperation. "Didn't that guy Shanks teach you this?" He paused, his tone almost condescending. "That's right. A few years ago, he was much weaker than he is now, perhaps you still won't understand."

He gestured toward the layer of flames surrounding him. "Do you see this? This is the pinnacle of Armament Haki, the most powerful defense in the world. There is a reason why this haki is called 'Armament Haki,' and when it reaches this level, it forms an exclusive personal armor. A shield of haki that no one can break through. Not even the strongest devil fruits and supreme-grade swords. If you can't pierce this layer, you can't hurt the person inside. And you, little girl, who hasn't even mastered Haki, can't even scratch my defense. So tell me, how do you plan to hurt me?"

Uta stood frozen, her thoughts a jumbled mess. "What... What about the explosion of ten thousand bombs? That's real power! I've seen it break pirates apart—most of them either severely wounded or dead. Does that mean... my New Era is impossible after all?"

Buggy nodded without mercy, his voice cold. "Yes, it is. The way you pull people's souls into your world with this illusion... Even if your goal is to save everyone by trapping their souls, once you die, the energy holding this world together will dissipate. And it'll break apart. Why do you think, after hundreds of years, no one with the Uta Uta no mi has been able to create their world? You're not special, you know. Your ability may seem impressive, but it's doomed. All it will do is destroy everything around you."

Uta stared at him, stunned. "So... I'm useless?"

Buggy's voice hardened. "Your power has little effect on the strong, but it's a threat to ordinary people. If the World Government catches wind of you, they'll stop at nothing to hunt you down. In the end, all you'll do is take the lives of those innocent people."

Uta seemed to lose all life in her. She sank to the ground, her body numb as she murmured, her voice barely audible.

"So, my new era is just ridiculous, huh?" Uta's voice trembled with disbelief. "It will only bring disaster to ordinary people, but won't affect the strong, is that it?"

She shuddered at the thought. She couldn't bear to imagine the consequences if she went through with it—how many innocent lives would be lost under her control? Could she even manage such a vast soul world? Even if she took the Sleepless Mushroom to fall into a deep slumber and maintain the world for a time, it would eventually collapse. And in the end, she would be powerless to save anyone, watching as everything around her fell apart.

Buggy, seeing the fear on her face, nodded slowly. Finally... Let this girl understand the difference in the world.

"It's not your new era that's laughable. It's that you lack the power to make it happen, yet you keep charging forward in the wrong direction." He smirked. "Your false world is nothing but an illusion to me."

He took a step forward, his eyes narrowing. "As for Devil Fruit powers, let's just say mine far outshine yours."

Buggy's voice dropped to a whisper, filled with eerie calm. "World Crush."

Ka Ka Ka...

Uta instinctively raised her gaze, her heart pounding. A blinding white-gold light burst from Buggy's body, and wherever the light touched, her carefully crafted spiritual world was overwhelmed in an instant.

The fabric of her world was torn open. Cracks spread through it like a spider's web, and with a deafening bang, the entire world shattered.

In the blink of an eye, the world she had so meticulously created was reduced to nothing, broken into countless dots of light that faded into oblivion.

"Captain, are you alright?" Enel's voice cut through the stunned silence, followed by Gabban's voice, filled with confusion.

"Buggy, what just happened?"

"Did you fight someone? That energy felt like the power of a Devil Fruit!"

"Hmm, it seems so."

"I didn't realize you'd gotten so strong, Buggy! Damn, I'm falling behind!"

"Bullet, that's Captain Buggy. After a year of training, improvement is natural, right?"

"I didn't expect this. Isn't that Uta, the diva from earlier? Did Buggy fight her? She didn't seem weak!"

"Well, if she doesn't know Haki, it's all pointless. No matter how strong the Devil Fruit ability is, once your physical stamina runs out, you'll be slaughtered in the end."

Uta, still recovering from the shock, slowly opened her eyes. Her world—her entire reality—had been torn apart by Buggy's power. She could hardly process what had just happened.

She stared at him in stunned silence. I didn't expect him to be this powerful.

Before arriving in Wano, Uta had encountered the Big Mom Pirates. She had easily drawn them into her spiritual world, neutralizing them without difficulty. But she never expected the power gap to be this vast.

As her body grew weak and she felt herself about to collapse, a warm embrace caught her. Looking up, she saw the familiar face of the man, Buggy, wearing a gentle smile.

"Excuse me, Buggy," Uta stammered, quickly rising to her feet. She froze for a moment, taken aback as she noticed a group of people nearby, all staring at her with thoughtful expressions.

Each of their faces was familiar. These were the officers of the Buggy Pirates—renowned pirates who had been making waves throughout the world.

Yet, despite their fearsome reputation, they were laughing and chatting together casually, as if they were no different from a group of villagers gossiping at the town square.

Buggy, noticing Uta's pale complexion, smiled warmly. "Would you like to take a break?"

"No, I can absorb the spiritual energy in the air," Uta replied, forcing a smile despite her exhaustion. "Even though my spiritual world shattered, the energy hasn't disappeared—it's still lingering in the air. I can absorb it to replenish my strength."

Though still a little pale, Uta smiled brightly, her eyes locking onto Buggy's. "I'm grateful for your timely intervention, Buggy. If you hadn't pointed out my mistake, I might've been unable to forgive myself if it had led to disaster one day."

She bowed deeply to him once more, her gratitude sincere.

Buggy chuckled, not stopping her gesture. "In that case, let me introduce you to my friends."

He gestured to the group of pirates nearby, who had gathered due to the energy spill from their earlier battle. "They're probably curious about what happened. Go ahead and explain things to them, Uta."

"Eh?" Uta blinked in confusion, staring at Buggy. "Do you, as the captain, have something to explain?"

"Of course, it's a sign of respect for our crew members," Buggy replied with a grin, pausing for a moment before nodding at her.

Uta's wide eyes softened as she smiled, a hint of admiration in her expression. "What a remarkable man."

After the introductions, everyone looked at Uta in surprise. They hadn't expected the world-famous singer to have been raised by the Red-Haired Pirates. What shocked them even more was her unusual ability.

Curious, they pressed her for more details, which Uta shared willingly, satisfying their questions.

But as the conversation went on, Uta became increasingly aware of the difference in strength. Even Buggy's crew, who weren't fully affected by her abilities, could break through her spiritual world with ease.

At that moment, she truly understood the power of the Buggy Pirates.

A sense of determination settled within her. If the illusory world she dreamed of couldn't bring about a new era, then she would devote herself to helping this man achieve his dreams, capturing his triumphs in photos.

Meanwhile, in the headquarters of the Revolutionary Army, a decision was being made that would send shockwaves across the world. They had decided to ally with the Crimson Empire!
