Chapter 12: Chapter 12 : First Industry: Food and Beverages
Late at night, Felix stood alone in the yard, gazing blankly at the three enormous silvery white moons.
As he looked up at the moons in the sky, he was captivated by their beauty. No matter how long he stared at them, he never grew tired of their enchanting glow. The three moons, shining brightly in the night sky, appeared to be surrounded by a mystical aura.
Countless stars twinkled behind them, creating a breathtaking scene that seemed almost like a melody for anyone who dared to look up.
" Are you still not asleep? ".
Just then, a gentle voice like an oriole sounded behind Felix, who was deeply mesmerized by the beauty of the moons. Snapping out of his deep thought, Felix shook his head.
Without turning around, he knew it was Trinity who was behind him.
"I'm not sleepy," Felix replied. Suddenly, there was silence between them.
"You were behind it, right?" Trinity suddenly said. Felix's heart skipped a beat.
Turning around, he looked at Trinity with a puzzled face. "What do you mean?"
"You were the mastermind behind the Smoke Gang and the Fire Gang fight, right?" Trinity looked straight into Felix's eyes and said.
Felix looked at Trinity silently with a calm face. Silence once again descended between them.
"How did you find out?" Felix asked with a calm face.
"We found out a few days ago. For the past few days, you, Zephyr, and Brixton have been acting quite weirdly," Trinity said. "And besides, don't think that we didn't know that the three of you would sneak out in the middle of the night." Trinity rolled her eyes and said.
Felix smiled bitterly. As if thinking of something, he looked at Trinity in surprise and said, "When you said 'we,' you mean..."
"Yes, Gwendolyn and Nixie already know," Trinity smiled.
"So why didn't you..." Felix was puzzled.
"Why didn't we confront you guys or try to stop you?" Trinity smiled bitterly. "Well, we also agreed with the approach you guys took. Besides, you guys weren't going head-on with them, so it was much safer. We just pretended not to know."
Felix nodded and rubbed his nose with a faint chuckle. He thought he had hidden it well from Trinity and the other two, but he didn't expect they already knew.
Turning around, Felix once again gazed up at the three moons and pondered aloud, "Do you guys think what we did was wrong? Killing innocent people and involving other innocent lives to achieve our goals?"
Trinity was taken aback for a moment, then walked over to Felix and stood beside him.
"No," she said softly.
Felix glanced at Trinity in surprise.
"No, I don't think what you did was wrong," Trinity continued. "To be honest, it depends on one's own perspective."
"From my point of view, what you did wasn't wrong. You were just trying to protect yourself and your family. But from the perspective of others, they might say it was wrong because you sacrificed over a hundred lives to get what you wanted, without considering if they had families or were innocent. In this world, there's no clear right or wrong, only strength.
The Smoke Gang has strength, so they can do whatever they want. In our case, we had to do what we did to protect ourselves and our family. So, in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with what you did," Trinity explained.
Felix looked at Trinity in disbelief, he was taken back by Trinity unexpected words. He had anticipated criticism for involving innocent lives in his pursuit of vengeance
"Thanks," he said sincerely.
Trinity smiled back at Felix. "I understand the rules of this world. Strength dictates one's actions, and the weak suffer the consequences."
"And I remember you saying something like :You would rather be a devil in angel's clothing, willing to do anything to keep your family safe, even if it means sacrificing others,". Trinity added, her eyes reflecting a mix of emotions.
Felix was taken aback. "So, you overheard our conversation the other day, huh?" he said with a smile.
Trinity grinned and nodded in response.
"Alright, don't dwell on it too much. Go get some rest; tomorrow is a new day," Trinity said, waving her hand as she headed back to her room.
Watching Trinity walk away, Felix sighed heavily and shook his head. Despite his initial surprise, he felt grateful and happy. In his past life on Earth, he had never had anyone to confide in when he was feeling down. He had always kept his worries buried deep within his heart. This was the first time he had someone to talk to and share his concerns with.
Reflecting on Trinity's words, Felix suddenly felt a sense of clarity. He remembered the guilt he had felt after taking lives and involving innocent people in his schemes. Although he had claimed to feel no remorse, deep down, he had harbored a slight regret. Trinity's perspective on the world, where strength mattered more than right or wrong, resonated with him.
He didn't have any strength to confront the Smoke Gang directly, so what he can only do is to resort to manipulation and deceit to achieve his goals.
With a sense of relief, Felix realized that the guilt he had carried was now lifted.
"As long as I can protect my family and ensure their well-being, I am willing to do whatever it takes," he muttered, determination shining in his eyes.

Suddenly, the long-lost system's cold voice sounded in Felix's mind. Two notifications popped up, catching Felix off guard. The system had been silent for days, only speaking up when spoken to. Felix had been too busy dealing with the Smoke Gang to bother talking to the system.
"Where have you been all this time, system?" Felix asked, coming back to his senses.
The system's tone changed as it replied, "I was sleeping."
Felix shook his head, annoyed by the system's attitude.
"So, what do these notifications mean? Have I completed some kind of hidden missions?" he asked curiously.
[ Ding! Please check your status screen ] the system replied in its cold and emotionless voice.

As Felix glanced at his status screen, he wasn't too surprised to see that not much had changed.
However, he did notice two new panels indicating Hidden Missions and their rewards, as well as his BEP, which had increased from zero to 60,000.
A smile spread across Felix's face as he admired his growing( BEP )balance. But his smile quickly turned to shock as he read the descriptions of the hidden missions.
He had no idea that seeking revenge on the Smoke Gang would earn him 10,000 BEP. All he wanted was to eliminate any threats to his life.
The second Hidden Mission was even more surprising. Felix never expected that scheming against the Smoke Gang and putting the lives of over a hundred people at risk would also come with a reward.
"Damn, I like these kinds of missions," Felix grinned.
" System can you give me a few hidden missions to complete?" Felix asked the system in excitement.
[ Ding : Negative Host. Hidden Missions are called Hidden Missions because they are hidden. As for how the host can complete hidden missions, it's depends on th situation ] the system replied.
Felix listened to th system explanation and nodded in understanding. Apparently completely hidden missions depends entirely on different situations.
" Oh right system, I remember I have one wheel of Industries Lottery, can I use it " Felix suddenly said.
[ Ding : Yes Host ].
" Ok then I want to use it right now " Felix rubbed his hands in excitement.
Suddenly his status screen disappeared and a huge silver wheel appeared infront of his eyes. There were many sections on the silver wheel with many industries written in th sections.
There were : Entertainment Industry, Textile Industry, Mass Media Industry, Real Estate Industry, Transport Industry, Food and Beverages Industry and many more and in the middle of the silver wheel is huge golden button.
[ Do the Host want to use his lottery? ] the system asked.
" Yes " Felix immediately replied.
[ Ding: Then Host please press the golden button in th center of th wheel ].
With a quick nod, Felix pressed the golden button, eager to see what industry fate had in store for him.
As Felix pressed the golden button, it disappeared and the large silver wheel began to spin. Initially, it spun slowly, but as time passed, the speed increased. After two minutes, the wheel was spinning so fast that Felix couldn't distinguish the different sections. The wheel emitted a captivating silvery white glow as it continued to spin rapidly.
After five minutes, the wheel started to slow down, revealing various industries passing by the pointer. Felix watched intently, feeling nervous inside. He was open to any industry, as long as it required minimal capital to start. The wheel spun at a slower pace, with different industries passing by, until it finally came to a stop.
[Ding: Congratulations to the Host for drawing the Food and Beverages Industry].
[Ding: The System Shop has been Unlocked].
Felix was in a daze as the system notifications continued to ring in his ears.
