Chapter 848 The Final Battle II

848  The Final Battle II

Ceano sneered and turned back, his eyes glowing eerily as he moved like a blur and grabbed Sinon by the neck.

"You want to die first?"

His aura evaporated the water attack thrown at him by the winged demi-human.

"Okay, I will grant your wish."

His grip on Sinon's neck tightened like a vice, and the winged demi-human fought desperately to break free.

Sinon's wings flapped wildly, trying to stab Ceano's body, but they were thwarted by a shield that seemed impenetrable.

His eyes turned red, and the edges of his vision began to blur and darken. Just then, Yue and Nox swooped down from above, launching a fierce attack on Ceano that forced him to finally release Sinon.

Sinon coughed violently, gasping for breath as he struggled to regain his balance in air. He could feel the sharp pain radiating from his neck, realizing that some of his bones were likely fractured. If he hadn't dedicated the last months to honing his physique, as Kyle had urged him to do, he was sure his neck would have snapped like a dry twig.

"This freaking fish! Grab him, Jian!"

Yue recoiled as Ceano clenched his right fist and tried to punch her. Nox's massive lynx form timely came in between them, and he winced as the blow struck him.

Bia's eyes blazed with fury at the sight. She was locked in battle with Enthrall alongside Alec, but she abandoned the man without a second thought. Her massive phoenix form charged like a raging bull toward the fake body of Ceano, who had just injured Nox.

Alec glanced back for help when Enthrall used tendrils of dark energy to ensnare him, only to find his ally missing.

"Bia??"

His eyes widened in shock as he saw Bia clawing at Ceano's body from behind with her razor-sharp talons, sending him hurtling through the air toward Jian and Sinon, who were poised and ready to attack him.

Alec's eyebrows twitched. They were not supposed to break the formation... Bia was meant to assist him. He clicked his tongue.

This sword was stronger than his own. He didn't manipulate the natural laws he could control; instead, he infused their power into his weapon. This was what he had learned over the past month, and now he was ready to test its might on the man before him.

Enthrall sensed the power Alec was channeling into his weapon. His face grew grim. He stood at the peak of the Supreme rank and possessed the dark flower's power coursing through him, but he could tell that Alec was no less formidable than he was.

"Damn it! I never signed up for this war! Why in the world does master have to give more power to Ceano??? That fish is being a complete fool to ignite a full-blown war when he has already sensed the strong presence of a powerful individual on the enemy side! What an idiot! brainless!"

He gritted his teeth in frustration. He always played it safe, and right now he was certain that even though they were winning the war thanks to so many of Ceano's fake bodies, something was very, very wrong.

Why? Because the powerful being Ceano had sensed in the Sea of Consciousness was conspicuously absent from the war!

If it were up to Enthrall, he would have bolted from this place ages ago!

After all, the very thought of facing such uncertainty sent shivers down his spine!

However, at present, Ceano was the strongest among the shadow generals. With the seven-petal dark flower, he could control all those weaker than him who bore the dark flower on their bodies.

"Ugh... I want to change sides!"

His eyes glowed as he manipulated multiple natural laws. Regardless, no matter how many times he expressed his desire to switch allegiances, deep down, he knew he couldn't—or rather, he would never. It was because he was evil; he had forged a path and willingly tread the dark side, fully aware of what he truly desired.

Alec attacked with his sword, and Enthrall channeled the power of natural laws. Their strikes collided in the sky, causing the very fabric of space around them to rupture.

The deafening noise reverberated throughout the entire Sacred Divine Land, causing the ears of everyone nearby to ring painfully. Those below divine rank suffered even more, as their ears began to bleed.

The sky split open with tendrils of dark energy and spiritual energy intertwining, and both Alec and Enthrall were violently thrown back by the force of the impact.

Alec spat out a mouthful of blood, his fingers trembling uncontrollably around the sword as his body was hurled directly into the warriors fighting on the ground. They all screamed and fled when he landed, forming a massive crater. Dust and debris erupted, plunging the already dark sky, filled with smoke, into even deeper shadows.

Enthrall was in a similar condition. No, perhaps his landing was even worse. His body convulsed violently, and a deep sword gash marred his shoulder, slicing down to his upper stomach like a jagged scar.

Alec's sword strike was far more powerful than he had anticipated. He should have never faced it head-on.

His eyes were bloodshot and wild as dark crimson liquid oozed from his mouth.

"Ceano! You witch! This is all your fault!"

Enthrall gritted his teeth and hastily tapped into the power of his dark flower. The life force of every living individual around him was drained and surged into his bloodied body, healing him at an astonishing rate.

Those whose life force was drained cried out. All of them were from the dark side, yet they could do nothing but watch in horror as their vitality faded before their eyes.

A short distance away, Old Ma was battling Damien with every ounce of his strength.

The first shadow general was effortlessly dominating the old man, and it was clear he would win soon. As a member of the water dragon race, his physique was naturally stronger than that of normal individuals.
