Chapter 10: The fall of mercy

After the funeral, after the truth, after the brotherhood was mended — something snapped again.

This time, it wasn't just Melin.

It was Jack.

The Night of Blood

One quiet evening in San-Jamb, Jack received a call.

The voice on the other end was shaking.

> "Your mother… she's dead."

She had been hiding for years, far from the chaos of the city. A safe house in East Vine District, protected by secret guards, funded with stolen Red Cult gold.

But somehow, they found her.

A group of rogue Red Cult Ballas—remnants from Fedrick's old loyalist circle—ambushed the safe house.

They dragged her outside, lit the building on fire, and left her body in the street.

No warning. No mercy.

And they left a message carved into the sidewalk beside her:

> "Payback for Fedrick. Long live the Cult."

Jack's Heart Turns Cold

When Jack saw his mother's body, the last part of his soul crumbled.

No tears. No breakdown.

Just silence… and then rage.

He walked into Melin's office that same night.

Eyes empty. Gun in hand.

> "We tried peace," Jack said.

"Now we burn the city down."

Melin looked at him… and didn't argue.

The Rise of the Wicked Ballas

From that day forward, Melin and Jack unleashed a darkness San-Jamb had never seen.

They were no longer rebuilding.

They weren't hunting just enemies.

They were destroying everything tied to the Red Cult—even if it meant innocent blood spilled along the way.

Warehouses exploded.

City streets burned.

Police stations were overrun.

Gangs were executed in public.

People whispered their new title:

> "The Wicked Ballas."

And with every act of revenge, Jack laughed harder, and Melin grew quieter.

Inside, Melin could feel himself slipping again.

He remembered his mother's soft voice… and the smell of burning buildings.

> "I've become the thing I once hated," he thought.

But he didn't stop.

Not yet.

Meanwhile… in San Track

Kelin watched the destruction unfold on hacked news feeds and surveillance cameras.

> "They've gone too far," he whispered.

He turned to his map of San-Jamb Prison, code running in the background.

His Green Bender Cult was ready.

Celin's escape would happen in 24 hours.

But now, it wasn't just about breaking his brother free.

> It was about saving Melin from himself.
