Avengers Tower,

Earth-%^$%

An emergency had announced itself to the Avengers.

Superior Spider Man had snatched the Symbiote from Agent Venom, Flash Thompson, and had fused it with himself, becoming — Superior Venom!

Now, the Superior Venom was wreaking havoc, killing criminals one after another.

MJ had then called the Avengers, worrying if the symbiote was taking over Peter's mind.

In response, the Avengers decided to separate the symbiote from Peter before it could corrupt his mind beyond repair.

"Kid's always giving me trouble," Tony said from behind the helmet.

"His heart's good," Steve Rogers commented, donning his shield.

"You two are like husband and wife," Black Widow said, "talking about a naughty kid."

"Let's leave her here," Tony said. "I can only carry one."

Black Widow smiled. "Should I call Banner?"

"No need," Captain America replied. "Let the… fathers handle it."

The roar of the jet engine shook the window panes.

An aircraft hovered over the helipad outside, waiting for Steve and Natasha.

"Race to the point?" the Iron Man asked, already firing the thrusters.

Steve had just remembered the best comeback when it happened.

A blue-black vortex popped out of nowhere in the middle of the hall.

"Who called the wizard?" Tony quipped.

"No." Steve's eyes narrowed. "It's not Strange."

From the portal walked out a blue-haired and blue-eyed beauty.

Or, they would have admired the beauty if it weren't for the armor she was wearing.

The Rescue Armor had undergone countless alterations, and its displacement thrusters had become a skirt to assist a demon slayer's breathing forms.

Even then, Tony recognized it in a matter of seconds, his fingers balling into fists.

Pots was already dead.

His teenage daughter was dead, too.

It had been ages. Over a decade. There wasn't a day when he didn't miss them.

Then who was this woman, trying to unearth the buried memories? Why did she look like…

"Jarvis…" Tony's mouth had become a thin line behind the helmet.

[Working on it…] the AI said. [Facial Pattern Projection matches 99.99% with Miss Morgan.]

Tony's heart shook.

Then Calm walked out of the portal.

With his hands inside the pockets of his black jeans, and wearing a black jacket and shoes, Black eyed the three Avengers with a smile.

Suddenly, just as the portal behind Black vanished, another portal materialized right next to them.

This one was like a golden ring.

Dr. Strange walked out of the portal and put himself between the trio of Avengers and Black and Moraine the Elegant.

This Strange's appearance, though, was much different than the main storyline one.

Half of his face was covered by a vibranium mask, a red glow pulsing in the place of the eye.

Scars covered the rest of his face, the right eye planted dead on Black and Moraine, his red cloak fluttering behind his back.

"Your kind is not welcome here," Dr. Strange said, facing the Contestants. "Go to a different timeline."

Kai's brows shot up.

Just like the Fate Random World, some Marvel and DC Random Worlds' timelines were too notorious for recognizing the Contestants on the spot.

"You know my kind, then?" Black asked, smiling. "What about her?"

Dr. Strange refused to look at Tony and repeated, "Go away. Now. I won't ask again."

Black felt a terrifying combination of Mana and Spirituality bubbling around the Character — a mark of Sorcery.

He looked at Moraine, whose face had paled already.

"Father…" Moraine stuttered.

Tony's jaw tightened.

Trrrrrrrrrrr!!!

At least a hundred tiny Spell Circles rippled into existence around Dr. Strange.

"Wait!" Iron Man flew, landing in front of Strange. "Attack her, and you will lose the other half of your face."

Dr. Strange looked at Tony. "She is not your daughter."

Tony's helmet retracted.

His beard had almost become white, but his eyes were young.

"I know," Tony said. "And I would like to hear her out."

"Listen to him…" Black smiled at Strange.

"You can magic him out of this place," Tony said, shrugging.

Black's lips twitched.

Suddenly, mirrors began appearing around him, trapping him within the Mirror Dimension.

Outside, Dr. Strange stopped casting the spell. "You have two minutes with her, Tony."

"Here's the thing," Tony said, tapping Strange's shoulder. "If I go over the limit, blink twice with your left eye."

Behind Strange, Black Widow sniggered.

Dr. Strange didn't mind the joke, knowing well the turmoil within Tony. "Be quick about it. The other one is trapped…"

Suddenly, steps rang in the hall, jolting heads.

Walking out of thin air, Black smiled at them, putting away Jack's Compass.

Nothing was perfect. And if Black desired to escape, the Compass of Desire was more than willing to provide an escape path to its master.

"…?" Tony looked at Strange. "Let me talk this time."

The Iron Man then faced his daughter… No. The woman who looked like his daughter, he corrected himself, ignoring Black.

"Let me guess," Tony said, his voice going involuntarily gentle. "You lost your father in your timeline, and now you jump between timelines, asking for help from different Tonys?"

Moraine smiled as if she had heard these words many times. "Yes, father."

"She's not even scratching the surface!" Dr. Strange said, the cloak's flutter becoming noisy behind him. "It's worse than you imagine…"

"Good," Tony said, cutting Strange off. "I would have instructed my daughter to do the same, too."

"…"

"What do you need?" Tony asked. "No. Wait. First, tell me who did this to your armor?"

Moraine looked at Black, who smiled at her.

A cloud of smoke rose behind Black, and the mad scientist walked out, wearing his white lab coat.

Steve and Black Widow exchanged glances.

Even Dr. Strange frowned. He hadn't sensed any presence other than these two.

"Hahaha!" Rintaro laughed, outstretching his hands. "We are here! We will relieve you of your burdens, oh insects! We will defeat the puppet of the Organization!"

"…"

Black smiled.

Tony looked at a stunned Moraine. "Seriously? This guy?"

"And who are you?" Tony asked with a chill in his voice, looking at Black.

"Friend."

"Friend?"

"Boyfriend."

"He's lying!" Dr. Strange spat.

Black walked up to Moraine and held her hand.

Moraine's soul gave out. She resisted the primal urge to drop to her knees and intertwined her fingers with Black's.

"Wrong move, pal," Steve mumbled, shaking his head.

"I am taking advantage of her relationship with Mr. Tony," Black said, shocking all. "When I met her, I didn't know about her origin. I decided to accept her, regardless."

Tony's jaw clenched.

He looked over his shoulder and stared at Strange.

Dr. Strange eyed the black-haired abomination oddly. "He's… not lying."

"Let's start again, then," Tony said, ignoring Black. "What do you need?"

Moraine looked at her father and fought back the tears welling up in her eyes. "We need Venom, father."

"No!" Dr. Strange marched in. "I will not let you…"

Black's smile vanished.

The Tower shook.

"Your timeline is already beyond repair, Dr. Strange," Black said calmly. "I need Venom more than you. I will have Venom regardless of your wishes.

"The only reason I am here, talking it out nicely, is because of her."

Black then looked at Iron Man. "We need Venom more than this world."

"Why?" Tony asked.

"Power."

Black's reply was terse but hit the nail on the head.

"The place we come from," he told them, "is treacherous and constantly demands more than our best to barely survive. Having Venom will drastically improve my chances of surviving."

Steve stepped in. "How's your Survival related to her?"

Black put an arm around Moraine's waist and eyed her gently. "To protect those who matter to me the most…"

No matter if they are slaves or ugly creatures or princesses from foreign dimensions… Leaving the rest unsaid, the Faceless mixed the lies within the truths.

Black and Tony's eyes met.

The father within him didn't need Strange's confirmation to know that this man wasn't lying.

"Can it be done?" Tony asked.

"You don't understand!" Strange thundered.

"Can… it be… done?" the Iron Man asked. "You didn't say he was lying when he said this timeline's beyond repair."

One couldn't just outwit one of the smartest men of the Multiverse.

Strange couldn't find the words to refute Tony's claim.

"We were just going to snatch Peter's favorite toy," Tony said, looking at his daughter. "If you want, you can have it."

Black shook his head.

"I must get him by myself," he told Tony.

"Can you?" Iron Man's helmet reappeared, his eyes glowing.

Can I? Black felt amused. He smiled. "You are welcome to watch it."

Why wouldn't he let the Avengers watch him obtain Venom's approval?

That was one of the conditions to turn the symbiote into a Magical Creature, to begin with.
