Chapter 162
The round sofa was already filled with people playing games and drinking.
Just then, Yan Rong suddenly remembered something and looked towards the distant balcony: "Xia Yun, did the minister go to Wei Shixu's balcony?"
Xia Yun was taken aback and nodded: "It seems so, should I go check on them?"
Yan Rong: "Yes, ask Wei Shixu if he wants to join the game."
Yu Zetian: "Right, right! This guy can't skip drinking today! He has to have a drink!"
Xia Yun walked to the balcony and pushed open the glass door, greeting with a sweet tone: "Minister~!"
Quan Zhisui turned her head, hiding the emotion in her eyes: "I'll just sit here for a while, you guys go ahead and play."
"Oh, okay." Xia Yun then looked at Wei Shixu: "Wei Shixu, come and have a drink?"
Wei Shixu's smile hadn't yet faded as he replied: "I don't drink."
Xia Yun was momentarily stunned by his smile and asked, her heart racing: "Why not? Do you never drink?"
Wei Shixu's gaze shifted towards Quan Zhisui and he said: "Not necessarily..."
"Then why won't you drink?" Quan Zhisui suddenly looked at him, her tone firm: "Don't you think it's a bit antisocial? The club doesn’t favor antisocial people."
He's annoying! His stomach issues are long gone, and he’s trained in martial arts, even trying to take her master away.
Xia Yun's heart began to pound nervously as she glanced at Quan Zhisui and then at Wei Shixu.
Why was she being so harsh all of a sudden?
Oh, she remembered! The minister didn't like handsome guys; the handsomer they were, the darker her mood became.
Wei Shixu was probably just a victim of bad timing.
Xia Yun was at a loss for words, unsure how to ease the tension.
Wei Shixu, however, chuckled lightly: "Alright, I'll drink."
Quan Zhisui squinted her eyes.
Xia Yun was momentarily stunned, then waved at Wei Shixu: "Then come over!"
Wei Shixu didn't follow Xia Yun to the center of the round sofa. Instead, he strode with long, confident steps and pushed open the glass door, heading towards the bar.
Everyone was busy playing games and didn’t notice his actions at first.
But Xia Yun noticed.
She felt the breeze carrying the scent of sandalwood brush past her and saw his tall figure suddenly appear in front of her.
With a single stride, he moved towards the liquor cabinet.
She watched as Wei Shixu's incredibly beautiful hands picked up a glass. The glass spun effortlessly in his hand, reflecting the light from above.
He didn’t bother selecting a specific bottle; he simply grabbed one at random and poured a straight shot.
Then, he raised his head.
In one gulp, he drank it down.
Xia Yun's heart raced wildly!
His movements flowed like water, without a moment's hesitation.
Next, she saw him place the empty glass down and head back towards them.
Xia Yun froze, nervous and unsure of what to do.
But...
The sandalwood-scented breeze passed her by again, without any pause.
He pushed open the balcony's glass door and returned to that spot.
Xia Yun didn’t dare turn around to look. She was too captivated, her thoughts completely immobilized!
Quan Zhisui didn’t sit on the sofa. She didn’t want to sit where he had been.
Instead, she leaned against the railing, letting the night breeze tousle her hair as her emotions swirled.
But soon, she caught the scent of sandalwood once more.
It was behind her.
Quan Zhisui frowned and turned around.
In the dim light, Wei Shixu stood there, his eyes glistening, his lips a dark red, marked with wine.
He stepped forward, and a strong scent of alcohol filled the air.
Quan Zhisui’s brows knitted even tighter.
If he dared…
But Wei Shixu simply reached out, wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace, amidst the wind.
"Are you thinking about me?" His voice whispered into her ear, tender beyond words.
Quan Zhisui's pupils dilated as her heartbeat quickened!
"I've been missing you so much." He spoke, tightening his hold around her.
He enveloped her completely with his body, hidden in the corner, embraced in the wildness of the night.
The aromas of wine, sandalwood, and white musk intertwined in the air, filling Quan Zhisui's senses.
She felt the hardness of the coin pressing against her.
His presence, as if from another lifetime.
The embrace was fleeting, quickly dispersed.
He let go of her, took a step back, and smiled—his mouth and his eyes, all smiling.
The joy seemed to overflow!
Quan Zhisui stared at him, completely taken by surprise.
At that moment, the glass door was pushed open once more.
Xia Yun, blushing, called out: "Wei Shixu, want to play the game?"
"Sure." Wei Shixu stepped out.
Just before the glass door closed, he suddenly turned back.
"Aren't you playing, senior?" he asked, looking at Quan Zhisui.
Quan Zhisui averted her gaze: "I'm not playing."
Wei Shixu chuckled again, this time with a playful glint: "Aren't you antisocial? The club doesn’t welcome antisocial people, senior."
Xia Yun’s blush and fluttering heart vanished in an instant, replaced by panic as she looked at him in horror!
Quan Zhisui also turned back, locking eyes with him.
He was still smiling, his eyes revealing no hint of complexity, just a simple smile.
But…
He was bad, downright mischievous!
That was just his nature!
Quan Zhisui’s expression shifted, a cold smirk forming: "Alright, I'll play."
When Xia Yun brought both Wei Shixu and Quan Zhisui to the round sofa, Yan Rong couldn't help but glance at them several times in surprise.
Quan Zhisui took the main seat, with Xia Yun and Li Fei on either side.
Wei Shixu sat at the lower position, directly across from her, with four new members on either side.
The rest of the group filled the other spots on the sofa, creating a circle of about a dozen people.
Li Fei was the most excited, pulling out a book and a spinner: "Shall we play this?"
Everyone agreed.
Li Fei began explaining the game rules: "The spinner determines who goes next, then we flip a page in the book and follow its instructions."
Yu Zetian: "Isn’t that just truth or dare?"
Li Fei chuckled, shaking the book: "Yes, but with a twist!"
Yu Zetian: "If someone can’t do it, they drink, right?"
Li Fei: "Not exactly—they have to do it, and they have to drink. Otherwise, where's the fun?"
Xia Yun: "Little bit of a thrill."
Li Fei: "Everyone here’s into extreme sports, so we all love a bit of thrill, don't we? This is nothing."
Yan Rong nodded: "Alright."
Quan Zhisui remained unfazed, her expression indifferent.
Wei Shixu suddenly spoke: "I’m quite a reserved person, can I take a look at what’s in the book?"
Li Fei handed it to him with a smile: "Sure!"
Wei Shixu flipped through the book with one hand, rapidly moving from the first page to the last, the pages fanning out like a blur.
Ten seconds later.
He returned the book: "Alright, let's begin."
Quan Zhisui’s eyes flickered as she glanced at his movements.
With his intelligence…
Li Fei placed the spinner in the center and asked: "Who’s first?"
Wei Shixu: "I will."
The four new members exchanged puzzled looks—this guy was always making a show.
The veterans, however, didn’t mind, motioning for him to go ahead.
Wei Shixu gave a barely perceptible glance at Quan Zhisui before flicking the spinner with his finger.
The pointer began to spin, eventually stopping directly in front of Quan Zhisui.
Li Fei exclaimed: "Wow! Right on the minister in the first round!"
Wei Shixu handed the book over: "Go ahead, senior, flip the page."
Quan Zhisui stared at him for a moment before flipping the page open.
Li Fei leaned in excitedly, reading aloud: "How many relationships have you been in?"
Everyone turned to look at Quan Zhisui. This question was personal, and she had never revealed her past relationships—not just the newcomers, but even the veterans were curious.
There were rumors among them that she had never been in a relationship before.
Quan Zhisui’s gaze shifted from the page to Wei Shixu’s face, a surge of annoyance rising to her forehead.
He’s starting again!
