Chapter 46: Ch.46 : Three Hearts One Choice
Charlotte stepped out of Julia's apartment with a storm of thoughts spinning in her mind. Hearing Julia confess her feelings for Nic had left her rattled, but she had to focus. Her job wasn't over yet. News had broken out to the police about the Red Scorpion massacre, and despite everything, Charlotte was ordered to bring Nic in for questioning.
When she arrived at the hospital, she paused in the hallway, watching from a distance. Nic was holding Daniella in his arms. He looked like someone carrying the weight of the world. Daniella's tears stained his shoulder, and for a second, Charlotte's professional mask cracked.
But she had a duty to do.
With a firm step forward, she approached them and flashed her badge.
"Excuse me. I'm Charlotte, a detective. I'm here to bring you in for questioning."
Nic looked up, clearly surprised. Still, he gently pulled away from Daniella and nodded.
"I understand. If that's what I have to do, then I'll go."
"Nic, wait!" Daniella called out, trying to stop him.
Before he could answer, Kiara rushed out of the hospital room.
"Wait, please! Let him go. He did all of this for us! Nic's not a bad person!"
Charlotte shook her head gently.
"I'm sorry. I have a job to do."
Kiara tried to protest again, but Daniella held her back.
"Let him go. If he's innocent, everything will be okay."
Nic gave Daniella a small, reassuring smile.
"I'll be fine."
Without another word, he followed Charlotte, leaving behind two worried sisters watching his every step.

At the Police Station
When they arrived at the station, Nic was taken straight to the interrogation room. Charlotte stayed just outside, listening in.
"Were you the one who wiped out the Red Scorpion gang?" one officer asked, his tone harsh.
Nic met their eyes without hesitation.
"Yes. I did it."
Silence filled the room as the officers exchanged shocked glances. One of them leaned in closer and muttered,
"Are you some kind of monster? What you did sparked massive debate. Sure, you wiped out a criminal organization, but that doesn't erase the fact that it was a massacre."
An older officer approached Nic, voice low and sly.
"This department's dirty. If you've got money, we can forget this ever happened."
Nic hesitated for a moment, weighing his options. Then he quietly asked,
"How much?"
Once the amount was named, Nic agreed. He was escorted out to finalize the transaction, and not long after, his case was officially cleared.
Charlotte watched everything unfold from the hallway. Normally, she would have stepped in. She hated dirty deals. But this time, she said nothing.
"This time's... different," she muttered as she saw Nic walk out with a calm expression.

Back at the Apartment
Back at his apartment, Nic had barely sat down to rest when someone knocked at the door.
When he opened it, Monica stood there, beaming.
"Come in," he said, stepping aside.
Monica immediately launched into excited chatter.
"I got accepted into a live streaming platform! It's just a trial, but if I can get enough viewers, we'll land a sponsor! I'll be able to make money while we're still building the agency!"
Nic smiled.
"That's great. I'll help you."
He set up the living room as a mini studio. Soon enough, Monica began her stream—singing, dancing, smiling with a contagious energy.
Viewers started pouring in. Some recognized her.
"Wait—isn't this the rock idol girl?" one comment read.
"She can do this too?! She's insane!"
Things heated up when a famous streamer from the same platform challenged her.
"Let's make it interesting," the woman said with a smirk. "Whoever gets more gifts wins. The loser can't stream for a week."
Monica hesitated, but Nic encouraged her.
"Go for it. You've got this."
The battle began. The woman's gifts skyrocketed—dozens of high-value rockets. Monica began to fall behind.
Then, suddenly, the screen flashed.
"1000x Rockets sent to Monica!"
The chat exploded.
"WHO SENT THAT?! One rocket is like... 1 million!"
"WTF, is this guy insane?!"
Even the platform's management got involved, trying to find out who had dropped such a ridiculous amount.
But Nic just sat on the couch, watching quietly with a smile. He didn't say a word.
Monica's confidence returned. She won the battle and went viral almost instantly. She turned to Nic, overwhelmed with gratitude.
"I just helped you shine a little brighter," he said simply.
After the stream, things got... awkward. Monica kept stealing glances at him, cheeks burning. Her heartbeat raced. The Love Shot's effect had reached 100%.
She finally spoke up, nervous but brave.
"Nic... do you want to be my boyfriend?"
Nic blinked, caught off guard. But before he could answer—
BAM!
The front door burst open.
A girl with short hair in a hoodie and shorts stomped in confidently.
"Julia!?" Monica gasped. "You're the number one hacker! The no-privacy queen! What are you doing here?!"
Julia shot back, just as annoyed.
"I should be asking you! What are you doing alone with Nic like this?"
Nic sighed.
"Julia, wasn't your rental period over? What are you doing here?"
Julia glared at him.
"I came to confirm something—but before that…" She turned to Monica.
"I heard what you said just now. You confessed, didn't you?"
Monica blushed.
"So what if I did? It's none of your business!"
Julia smirked.
"Then I won't lose. I'll confess too. Nic—be my boyfriend!"
"WHAT?!" Monica shrieked. "You just got here!"
Before the argument could explode, Charlotte walked in and immediately pulled Julia's ear.
"You two are way too noisy! What the hell's going on?!"
She turned to Nic, eyeing him suspiciously.
"So... both of them are into you?"
Nic, smirking mischievously, said,
"Detective Charlotte, you like me too, don't you?"
Charlotte froze. Her face turned red.
"W-what?! No way, you lizard!"
Julia giggled.
"Oh come on, Charlotte. Didn't you say you liked him in my apartment?"
Before she could finish, Charlotte shoved a napkin into Julia's mouth. Monica just stood there, stunned.
Then she turned to Nic seriously.
"So? Who do you choose? Me first, right?"
Nic stood up, calmly looking at all three.
"There's no 'first'."
They blinked in confusion.
"I already have a girlfriend."
Monica's expression dropped.
"I'm sorry... I didn't know. I'll leave—"
"Wait," Nic said, stopping her. "Do you know how many girlfriends I have?"
Julia squinted.
"One, right? I mean, there can't be more than that..."
Nic chuckled.
"Wrong. I have fifteen girlfriends."
Dead silence.
Charlotte slammed him into the wall.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?! Did you force them?!"
"No one's forced," Nic said calmly. "They're all happy. We live in harmony, like one big family."
He explained UNITY—the club where all his girlfriends supported each other and grew together.
Monica hesitated.
"Then... can I join too?"
Nic nodded.
"If you're okay with it, I'll treat you like all the others—fairly."
Julia shrugged.
"Fine by me. If everyone's happy, then why not? Count me in."
Charlotte still looked unsure. Her heart pounded. Love Shot's effects were working, but she refused to admit it.
"Fine. But not because I like you—just because I'm retired and... whatever. I'm going with Julia."
Nic grinned.
"Welcome to the UNITY Club, you three."
- Monica became Girlfriend #16
- Julia became Girlfriend #17
- Charlotte became Girlfriend #18
And just then, the system notified Nic with new Skill Transfers:
1. God of Voice (Monica) – Nic's voice could become mesmerizing, with power to shift emotions.
2. God of Hacking (Julia) – Nic gained extreme hacking abilities: tracking, breaching, stealing data.
3. God of Tracking (Charlotte) – Nic could sense lies, analyze body language, and track people or objects precisely.
Nic smiled, knowing these powers would be a huge asset—not just for his missions, but to protect and support the women he loved.
