Claiming the Throne of Gods, Starting from the Rebirth of Nezha

Chapter 21: Chapter 21 White Bone Cave

Humans have never lacked the yearning for flight.

Letting the body break free from the bonds of gravity, soaring into the sky, crossing seas and mountains.

In those fading memories of Nezha, in that world without immortals and demons yet still vibrant and exciting, the ancestors strove for this and created airships and airplanes.

But now, as Nezha sees himself floating in midair, the rain curtain draping the world is infusing the Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi into his constructed Water Style spell, and with a mere thought, his body ascends several more feet.

He doesn't have time to feel joy, squinting his eyes, his trembling and curled fingers barely forming a fist, his lips quivering as he tries to say something, but not a sound comes out.

Over ten feet above the ground, nothing beneath his feet, and below is a courtyard paved with bluestone. If he were to suddenly fall, at best he'd break bones and tendons.

But after a while of tumbling in midair, Nezha finds that flying like this is like a dream, going wherever he wishes, and gradually he's no longer afraid.

The heavy rain pours down on him, yet it's completely blocked by the ever-flowing layer of Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi on his body. Clearly, the Water Style spell cast by himself has some differences from that performed by Mr. Fan, at least in that he doesn't need to change clothes.

Nezha takes a breath and heads eastward. In just a moment, he's at the edge of the sea, with the rain swaying behind him, while in front of him, the sea is calm and tranquil.

That's how it is at Chentang Pass, though it rains and the winds are strong, it often comes and goes quickly, routinely sunny in the west and rainy in the east of the city, just like today.

Fortunate that Nezha soon verifies Mr. Fan's other statement - that this East Sea is indeed the largest body of water in the world, the Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi it contains is immeasurable. Even under the sun, Nezha's Water Style spell on the sea is even more skillful and efficient.

He races in the air above the sea like a large bird, swiftly surpassing the flocks of seagulls and scattering the schools of fish cruising close to the water.

Watching the waves roll over and over, watching the tide's ebb and flow, watching the sea's rise and fall, watching the sun's sparkle and shimmer.

Nezha is so thrilled that even his heart is trembling, he looks up and yells loudly, "I am the king of the world!"

The sound echoes to no one's ears. In this world, there's no Titanic hitting an iceberg, and naturally, Nezha doesn't have an exotic beauty wrapped in his arms listening to him scream wildly, cheering ecstatically for him.

However, in Nezha's view now, this gracefully controlled Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi between his fingers and palms is truly the most beautiful maiden in the world.

Nezha flies too far and too close to the sea when he sees in the distance a towering wall of waves rolling towards him. In the past, one thought and he'd easily dodge it.

But because it's his first time soaring through the heavens and the earth, Nezha enters an indescribable special state of mind, so he decides to follow his inspiration.

The Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi within his body naturally flows to his right wrist, and the simple golden bracelet that had accompanied him for seven years suddenly shines, enlarging to the size of a washbasin and flies out of his hand!

The Qiankun Ring already flown out, Nezha still feels connected to this ring, a connection that originates from the stream of Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi within him.

The Qiankun Ring breaks through the waves, makes a large loop in the air, and returns to Nezha's hand.

With the ring in hand, the Qi surges, feeling the magical treasure's immense indestructible force, Nezha is also inwardly startled.

Though he is strong, this is still the world of Divine Enthronement. Just recently, while wandering the city wall of Chentang Pass, he heard a lot of tales about the talented individuals of the Great Shang Dynasty from Ten-man Captain Zhou Quan.

Yet the power displayed by the Qiankun Ring is truly capable of altering realms and changing weather, something mere mortals cannot withstand.

Having flown to his heart's content outside, Nezha is reluctant to return, feeling as if his body has become a child, and his heart has also grown three years younger. After exploring the vast ocean, he's unknowingly traversing a forest of a thousand peaks shrouded in clouds and mist.

Nezha gazes intently, only to see a great burst of golden light between the distant hills and forests, the inspiration is ethereal, startling him. He flies forward a bit, then looks down to see on the side of the great mountain, hidden among the forest, is a stone flat.

The stone flat is large, with a mirror-like pool above it, a cascading waterfall, blooming wildflowers, sprawling wild grass, and towering ancient trees.

Between the ancient trees, birds make nests, and various colorful little beasts wander the forest, gathering wild fruits and grazing on leaves, making it look like a fairyland.

Nezha is lost in watching, when a voice reaches his ears.

"Where does this little brat come from, daring to spy above your granny's abode!"

Upon these words, the birds and sparrows in the mountain forest take flight in fright, and all prior sounds coming from the mountains vanish.

The indescribable silence evokes an unprecedented fear in Nezha, making him almost believe the scolding voice he heard was his own hallucination.

However, upon another thought, such a magical place might well house a recluse or two, even a Taoist immortal. It's just that when he flew here earlier, he was too carefree and forgot to check what this place was.

Having thought of this, Nezha boldy gazed towards the center of this treasure land, seeing on the cliff beside the stone flat a stone cave, with three blood-red characters inscribed horizontally above the cave.

White Bone Cave!

This is Skull Mountain!

Shi Ji!

Solely based on the past life's stories recollection, Nezha couldn't judge what kind of cultivator Shi Ji was, but as long as she wasn't a cruel and murderous one who'd start a fight upon meeting, they could potentially become friends.

After all, whether in cultivation or in life, having an extra friend is better than having an extra enemy.

Nezha cupped his hands in a junior's salute, loudly said, "Junior, son of Li Jing of Chentang Pass, apprentice of Taiyi Zhenren from Qianyuan Mountain Golden Light Cave, named Nezha, happened to pass by and was captivated by such divine scenery. Thus, I lost my focus and unintentionally disturbed senior, deserving to die a thousand deaths!"

After Nezha spoke, there was no response for a long while below, so he remained in mid-air with cupped hands, memories of Shi Ji from his past life swirling in his mind.

The Divine Enthronement says: Shi Ji was originally a block of stone, born outside the primordial chaos of Heaven and Earth, tempered through earth, water, fire, and wind, absorbing spiritual energy of Heaven and Earth, and essence of sun and moon, cultivating to become a spirit, achieving Dao for thousands of years. Just because Nezha was born at Chentang Pass, drawing a bow with an arrow on the city wall and killed Shi Ji's disciple, then wreaked havoc in White Bone Cave, Shi Ji sought revenge, and chased Nezha to Qianyuan Mountain Golden Light Cave, only to be trapped by Taiyi Zhenren's Nine Dragon Divine Fire Cover and burned alive with Samadhi Fire.

As he pondered, Nezha saw a child of eleven or twelve, dressed in a green Daoist robe, walk out from the stone cave, beckoning him down.

Speaking of which, Nezha was indeed bold, as upon the child's call, he dissolved his Water Style Technique and landed on the stone flat, sprinting and jumping to arrive before the child in a green Daoist robe.

He saw the other party with delicate features, fair complexion, a cinnabar dot on the brow, enveloped in a layer of warm yellow light, clearly of childlike appearance, but with no shortage of spiritual energy.

Nezha greeted him again with cupped hands and smiled, "Greetings, Daoist brother."

The child was initially taken aback to see someone younger than himself, then hesitantly returned the greeting, "No need to be formal, I am Bi Yun from Skull Mountain White Bone Cave, under Lady Shi Ji's service, are you Nezha?"

"I am Nezha."

"That's wonderful," Bi Yun the child responded with undisguised delight on hearing Nezha's reply, though upon realizing it might be too casual in front of an outsider, he immediately restrained his smile, clearing his throat, and seriously said, "Ahem, follow me inside, my lady invites you into the cave."
