Classroom of the Elite: The true Geniuses

Chapter 6: Chapter 6 - Ryuzaki Rue Movement - Chaos Meeting

"Finding answers is temporary satisfaction. The really good thing is the research that mobilizes us."

Ayanokouji's Pov:

Part 1

"Come on Shiro, help me out here. This damn thing on TOP is really bad," Sora ordered as she fiddled with his cell phone.

"I'm coming, Nii," she replied in the same manner.

Well, it seems that they were playing the same game that I played with them yesterday.

"Do you really need to play while we're walking to class?" Kaguya asked.

"Actually, I'm finding them a little more animated than usual," Ai who was walking beside me looked at them. "However, your eyes seem a little heavy, did you guys get even a little sleep tonight?" She asked looking a little worried.

"Ha! It's still 7:34 a.m., class doesn't start until 8 a.m. sharp, I don't see the problem with me and Shiro playing on our way to class," Sora replied to Kaguya before making some quick movements with his hands on his cell phone, soon after, he turned to Ai. "We didn't sleep at all! Don't worry though, we've stayed up for several days in a row for championships of different games before. Just one day is nothing for us."

Kaguya just shook her head before Ai muttered.

"Still..."

"Besides, it's a good distraction for people looking at us. Shiro and I don't handle crowds well. That's why we leave early besides getting to our classroom," he added.

This is true.

Ai, Kaguya, Sora, Shiro and I were walking together to our classroom. As I was getting ready to leave, I ran into the two of them in the hallway, apparently they were waiting for me and were close to texting me. They invited me to start going to school together with them from now on. Since our dorms are close to each other, they said that it was no problem for them to come to mine to call me and go along with them.

I didn't see any problem with this arrangement, so I agreed.

There is another reason besides "we are exceptional students, so we should be an example and come to class early" because our class goes to class earlier than the normal students in the other classes. It's a pretty obvious reason, this is related to the stares we are getting from the few people around campus.

"Hey, aren't those two the ones who were playing the violin and piano at the club fair?"

"Who? Oh, it really looks like them."

"That girl is really pretty."

"That boy looks quite handsome too. Can you feel the mysterious air he is emitting from afar?"

"Why are their uniforms different?"

"I don't know, maybe it's because they are special in some way?"

Several audible whispers from the students talking made me a little uncomfortable with all the attention. I could see that Kaguya's face was a little flushed. Probably to the fact that the two of us were the most talked about by people. Very troublesome indeed.

Even though we were leaving relatively early, there were still some people around. Imagine if we were going to the classroom at the normal time. The number of people looking at us would be much greater.

"Well, it looks like you two are celebrities, huh," Ai commented with a mischievous smile as she looked at me.

"I never asked to be a celebrity. My biggest wish was to remain invisible as a normal student and go through my school years without drawing attention."

"Hah, good job on not drawing attention, Mr. Pianist," Sora sarcastically commented while still having his eyes on his cell phone.

"That's all Ayanokouji's fault, I never asked for it," Kaguya replied while looking at me.

"Well, I'm sorry. My intention really wasn't to draw attention, but I may have ended up going a little overboard."

"At least look a little guilty or look at me when apologizing!" She exclaimed until she noticed the gazes of the surrounding students going towards her. "Besides, exaggerating a little? Just a little?"

I started to get a little confused. Ai and Kaguya didn't seem like the kind of people who cared about attention from what I could see on the first day, so why does she seem to be angry about the fact that we are getting attention? Maybe it's because it will make people from other classes start investigating us sooner?

Although I don't have much to back me up, she seems to be the kind of person who is quite competitive, so it might make a little sense.

"Well, there's no point in thinking too much about what's already been done," Ai chimed in. "We'll just have to be more careful than before, maybe we should start coming to class even earlier? I mean, some curious student might try to follow us and see that we're coming up the hallway where the teachers' lounge is."

She spoke low enough that only so that only the four of us could hear.

She pointed out a good spot.

"I don't think we should worry about that, at least for today," Sora spoke up. "Most of the people here seem to be more excited to spend the money they've earned. They must be from classes C and D. However, I agree that it might be better for us to go to the classroom earlier starting in the morning."

I also think that is the best and safest option we have at the moment. If we are very lucky, we can gain a two week head start on the other classes before they start investigating us. However, the way things are going, thanks to the commotion that Kaguya and I made yesterday at the club fair, I estimate that we only have one week.

Hopefully we'll be able to move up at least two classes by the end of the month.

"What are you guys playing, anyway?" Kaguya asked.

"League Of Legends, the mobile version. The same game that Shiro, Ayanokouji and I played before our chess match yesterday," Sora replied.

Kaguya and Ai raised their eyebrows at the last mentioned part before turning to me.

"Chess?"

"Oh, so that's why you bought the Chess game?"

"I figured I would play with someone at some point, but I didn't expect it would be this soon. It was a good opportunity for me to see if they were really as good as they claimed to be, so why not?"

"Hm, I see," Kaguya hummed.

"So, who won?" Ai asked.

"I lost. They are very good, maybe you should ask them to teach you instead of me."

"Don't make it sound like you took a beating, Ayanokouji," Sora stopped fiddling with his cell phone for the first time as he looked at me intensely. "You played against both of us at the same time and also left us with the white pieces, giving the first move to us. But still, that game was very intense, there were moments when I really started to think we were going to lose for the first time."

Followed by him, Shiro also stopped fiddling with her cell phone and looked at me as well.

"You are very strong Ayanokouji. The strongest opponent we've faced in Chess," she simply said.

"Strong or not, that doesn't change the fact that I lost to you."

"You are demeaning yourself," Sora commented.

"Wait," Kaguya's voice made us look at her. "Did you two play together against him, like as one player?" She asked.

Ai looked curious as well.

"Don't you remember what they mentioned earlier on the bus? They said that they are invincible together. In other words, without being together, they are no longer invincible, right?" I was the one who answered for them.

"Well, you're technically right," Sora agreed. "However, Shiro and I only lose to each other when we play alone," he replied before looking at me. "However, I think you might be an exception to that. I would probably lose if I played chess alone against you. Plus, there was still the fact that our chess match had no time limit, so the mental strain on you was greater than ours because you were playing alone."

He listed several right points. I was also confident of beating Sora at chess if he played alone, but I was still in doubt about Shiro. She is able to calculate so many moves ahead of the best computers we have. Instead of Sora's more unpredictable style, she would be a player who would make extremely calculated moves.

All of this is quite interesting, I would definitely like to play against her myself.

"So, besides the two-on-one advantage, you ceded the first move to them? Why?" Kaguya asked with raised eyebrows.

She seemed to know a good deal about chess.

"No specific reason, I just like the black pieces."

"Um..."

She didn't seem to believe my words, if that strange look she was sending me meant anything. We had entered inside the school, and luckily, the hallway was practically empty. I didn't notice any students trying to follow us or anything, so we'll be fine for today.

"Well, I still want to learn chess from you," Ai suddenly spoke up as we walked.

"Why? Isn't it better to learn from the best?" I really didn't understand the fact that she wanted to learn from me so badly.

"Well, apart from all the disadvantages you were at, there's also the fact of our agreement, remember?"

Ah, the agreement that I would teach her chess and she would help me to express myself better. I doubted that we would be able to devote time to the agreement this first month, so I didn't think much of it.

"Oh, agreement? What kind of agreement?" Sora asked as he narrowed his eyes at me.

Why is he looking at me like he seems to be jealous?

"I'm curious about that too," Kaguya asked as she looked at Ai with a strange look.

So she didn't tell her about the arrangement? That's a surprise, since they seem to have been friends for quite some time and are always together. Instead of simply answering their question in a normal way, she gave a smile as she came closer to me.

"That's a secret!"

That only seemed to make them even more curious about this so-called secret. Sora looked at me more intensely with every killing intent he could muster, and even Shiro began to look at me strangely. Kaguya just looked at Ai with a look that said they would talk about it later.

"Let's go to our room right away," I said as I started up the stairs. "We don't want anyone to see us right now, right?"

Fortunately, they stopped talking about it and we finally moved on to the floor where the office and the rooms of all the teachers in the school were located.

I could still feel Sora's gaze on me, though.

Part 2

When we entered the classroom, Kaguya and I were quickly greeted by Lelouch's sarcastic tone about the video of me and Kaguya at the club fair. The others didn't seem as bothered as he was, but that doesn't mean they liked it. Thanks to this action, the other students were sure to come after information about us sooner than expected.

Kaguya insisted that it was all my fault with her cold and deadly tone. I didn't deny it, after all, it's true. However, she also had part of the blame for playing too, well, I like to think so.

We stayed talking about small things that were not so relevant until the class started.

As soon as Ayame-sensei entered the classroom, I immediately noticed that she seemed happier than usual. The fact that she entered singing softly only served to make it even more obvious. Sure enough, everyone else noticed too, and when I looked back I could see a few people with raised eyebrows, and of all of them, Sora seemed to be the most curious of all as he looked with a certain interest at her who was walking to her desk.

She put away some papers as she turned to us, and the reason for her happiness was finally revealed.

"Okay, class! I'll be teaching science class today!"

As soon as she said that, I could feel everyone's interest rising. I myself was interested in this particular class because of the first day. She said that the science class was the best she taught and that she is quite strict with this particular subject. I think most of this is because she is a scientist, and from what Sora said about the articles she published for that magazine, she must be exceptional.

Well, that would explain the fact that she is a fixed teacher in this class and only she teaches the class for us.

"Okay, I'll get that out of the way first. I know that you all probably already know all the basics of the subject, and some of you may know far more than the basics. So, I'll briefly explain what we're going to start learning over the course of the year, and then I'll start talking about some interesting things that might catch the attention of most of you. If you have any doubts or questions, don't hesitate to ask me."

After that, she started writing some things on the blackboard.

I was quite interested, mainly because of something I can't get out of my mind since Sora told me about her. A woman who received several offers to work in famous places and yet turned them all down just to become a teacher?

Even though she is teaching for the best school in Japan, as well as a class for talented people, I can't let go of the fact that there is something more behind this. I may simply be overthinking it, but that's the way I managed to survive in that place. So I keep wondering why someone like her rejected so many offers from famous places and chose to work as a simple teacher?

Unless...

...she took the job just to teach our class specifically.

"All right!" I was brought out of my monologues by Ayame-sensei's excited voice. She looked at all of us with a smile before speaking, "Let's start this class."

She began to explain the basic concept that I and probably everyone else already knew, but there was something about the way she spoke that managed to get me immersed in the entire explanation. And I wasn't the only one.

Looking back briefly, I noticed that Victorique was not bored, Miyuki seemed to be quite interested in the matter at hand. Light was listening to everything with a small smile on her face and Ryuzaki seemed oddly focused on Ayame-sensei's words, in fact, he seemed to be looking at her as if he was looking for something. Sora and Shiro seemed to be more and more interested as she continued to talk and even the usually cold persona of Kaguya seemed to have her eyes sparkling with interest.

Jabami, Lelouch, Ai and I were just listening quietly.

After she finished explaining the basics, came the really interesting stuff.

She started talking about various things.

Vacuum Decay.

The Teleportation Paradox.

Among some other things that seemed pointless at first, but the complexity of the explanation made it all interesting. Although this is only the third day of class and there are still other subjects to see, I was confident that the science subject would without a doubt be my favorite. Looking briefly at my classmates, I am confident that most of them also feel this way.

These were not subjects for first-year students to learn, but she just kept talking for most of the class.

The class seemed to pass quickly when lunch time arrived. I brought my own food to avoid leaving the classroom and drawing more attention than I already had, and it seems I wasn't the only one. All my classmates thought the same thing, as they had all brought food to eat inside the classroom as well.

"So, what did you guys think of this particular class?" I decided to ask. I was eating a sandwich that I had brought along with a drink.

"Quite interesting, I must say. Although I had read several of the books on the subject, there were still a few things I didn't fully know, and even when she explained what I technically already knew, I wasn't as bored as I thought I would be," Victorique commented.

"I agree with her, it was very interesting," Light replied with a small smile.

"Well, science is one of my favorite subjects, so I certainly wasn't disappointed with her explanation," Miyuki also replied with a small satisfied smile.

Oh, so science is one of her favorite subjects, huh. Although it's not something of much importance, it's interesting to know.

"So you like science, huh," Sora commented while fiddling with his cell phone, he had a piece of sandwich in his mouth. Shiro was sitting next to him, also with her cell phone. "Well, I think you really look like someone who likes this," he added.

Were they playing again?

"My Oniisama messes around a lot in the science and technology area, so I guess I ended up getting interested because of him."

"Hm, that reminds me, are we going to meet your brother at some point?" Lelouch asked casually.

Miyuki brought her finger up to her chin as she made a thoughtful expression. "Well, for sure. But I don't know if it will be that soon. He seems to be very busy with student council work."

"He's on the student council?" Kaguya seemed to have taken a little interest.

Well, she wanted to join the student council, so it makes sense that she would be interested.

"Yeah, he's friends with the current president, if I'm not mistaken."

Kaguya seemed to think about something for a while. I turned to Jabami who just had a smile on her face and I couldn't help but be curious.

"What did you think of today's class, Jabami?" I asked, bringing everyone's attention to her.

Jabami Yumeko was someone I had barely interacted with, but I am somewhat interested in learning more about her. The same goes for all the others I haven't talked to yet. I hope to be able to become friends with all of them.

"Hm~, let's see. The subject of science isn't really my strong suit, so almost everything was new to me, so it was pretty interesting. Although I didn't understand most of what she started talking about afterwards, it was still a fun class."

She replied in a soft voice.

From that point on, we spent the time chatting until lunchtime was over and soon the teacher returned to the classroom, still animated, something quite different from the first few days. Apparently, she had managed to convince the principal to leave a whole day just for science class.

Well, I won't complain about that, it was quite interesting to talk to her about some things. The class ended soon after, with the teacher going to the teachers' office.

Apparently, whenever class was over the teachers would meet in their main room and discuss some things for an hour. This was information that was provided thanks to Ryuzaki who asked if she would leave as soon as the class was over.

Although the class was already over, we were still inside the classroom. The downstairs hallways must be full of students, so it is good some time until it is emptier so that we can leave. If the students see us coming down from the floor where the teachers' room is, then they would be suspicious. Well, people with some intelligence would.

Ryuzaki got up from his chair and walked over to where Victorique was standing. She had her head on the table. Her face screamed bored. She quickly noticed Ryuzaki.

"Victorique, can you come with me to the first year teachers' office?" He asked out of the blue.

Victorique slowly lifted her head.

"Huh? Why?"

"There's a move I want to make. This should be the best time for it, we won't be able to stay hidden for long," he replied.

"What kind of move would that be?" Lelouch asked. He seemed a little interested in that, as did the rest of our colleagues who were looking at him now.

"I cannot speak at this time. However, if I get what I want, then I can get a big question out for us later today."

I was quite curious about the doubt he had. And from the faces of the others, they were also very curious.

"This will benefit our class, right?" Kaguya asked.

He turned to her. "Of course. What I am looking for is information about the school that is of benefit to us. There are several things that the school that is not telling, and I want to uncover one of those today. However, it's likely to cost a few points."

"How many points are we talking about, Ryuzaki-san? I can help with a few," Jabami offered some of her private points with a smile. "After all, I am the person with the most private points in our class," she added.

"And all for that because of a damn bet," Sora remarked. For some reason, his tone sounded annoyed. "It's not fair, I can't make a bet with anyone from the other classes this first month to try not to draw more attention than Lord Pianist and Miss Violinist did."

He seems to be irritated by the fact that he can't place bets with anyone for a whole month. Come to think of it, Jabami was quite lucky that she did that on the first day of class. She seems to be someone who can't stay out of bets for long, I hope those points she earned on the first day are enough for her to stay out of trouble this month.

"I already said it's all Ayanokouji's fault! Besides, I clearly remember you convincing us to play that piano and violin too, especially Shiro!" Kaguya shouted, pointing at me and then at them.

I chose to keep my mouth shut.

However, after she said that, I could see the color of Sora's face fade for a few seconds before it returned to normal.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." He replied with a totally serious face. Well, the fact that his hands were shaking didn't help it to be convincing one bit.

After that, they began a short exchange of words that I chose to ignore and turned to Ryuzaki and Victorique's conversation.

"I don't believe it will be necessary, so don't worry about it."

"Well, if it will benefit our class, I'm all for it, whatever it is," Light commented.

While Ryuzaki was talking to Victorique with the class looking on at them, except for Sora and Kaguya who were discussing, Ai approached me.

"Hey, what do you think he might want?" She asked softly.

"I have no idea," I replied.

"Uhum," she didn't seem to fully believe me with that answer.

However, it is true. I have no idea why he would want to go to the teachers' office. I can think of a few things, but I feel that it won't be for any of these reasons. Ryuzaki is a real mystery, I'm curious about the move he will make.

"You're not going to tell me to spend any of my private points, are you?" Victorique asked.

Even though he refused Jabami's private points, she was still a little afraid of the fact that he wanted her to go along with him.

Actually, I'm a little curious too. Why exactly does he want her to go along with him? If private points aren't going to be a problem, I don't think he would have any problem doing this on his own.

"No, I'll use my own private points, so don't worry," Ryuzaki replied. "We have to go soon," he added.

He seemed to be in quite a hurry. It's as if whatever he was going to do had to be done immediately. Could this be related to the fact that the other classes will start looking for information about us soon?

"All right," Victorique got up from her chair with some difficulty.

They said goodbye to us as they left the classroom.

I kept my eye on the door for a while.

What are you planning?

Part 3

Victorique's Pov:

"Tell me, Victorique," as we left the classroom, Ryuzaki spoke to me, "What do you think of our class?"

"Well, it's still the third day of class, so I haven't been able to interact much with anyone. However, with the little I've seen, I can say that our classmates are quite interesting."

I was still a little confused why he wanted me to go with him to the teachers' office, but I was also curious. According to his presentation on the bus, he solves crimes. However, he is quite young to be some kind of detective, but I didn't think much of it, after all I was the same. Besides, he was also a junior tennis champion in Great Britain.

"Is there anyone specific that has interested you?"

He asked another question. His tone was extremely relaxed. This could be considered a simple normal curious question, but I knew there was something more to it all.

Although he wasn't that bad at hiding it, I could still see it clearly. From the first day when we introduced ourselves on the bus, as well as the discussion about the S-System, he was watching everyone in the class quite closely, not even our classroom teacher escaped this. Although most people didn't quite understand it, I knew the kind of look he was giving all of us.

It is the same look of someone who is trying to solve something in his own mind, trying to find answers about something. Whatever it is he is looking to get, it is something that is related to our classroom, more specifically our classmates.

"Is there a reason for that question?"

Although I wasn't showing it from the outside, I was getting a little uncomfortable. Whatever he is looking for, I have to be totally careful. I escaped from that damned place I was stuck in and came to this school in search of something that might take away my boredom, as well as try to live a normal life, something I never had.

The rules of this school are interesting, but our class managed to figure out almost everything in the first day, more specifically in only 23 minutes. I hope the class wars exams are interesting enough that I won't be bored for the entire time the exam takes place.

"Just curiosity, I suppose."

"Curiosity, eh," that was bullshit. "All of our classmates are somewhat interesting, but if I had to choose only one, then it would be Ayanokouji Kiyotaka."

My instincts have always been good and never failed me when I was solving some crime. Somehow, I feel that things will be interesting as long as I stay around him.

Although it was quite uncomfortable to watch his inexpressive face. No matter what the situation, he always kept the same countenance. It's as if he could control his own emotions.

"Ayanokouji, too, huh. He scored 50 points in all subjects during the entrance exam. What do you think about that?" He asked.

Apparently, he was also curious about Ayanokouji.

"Well, that's a bit complicated. I mean, I watched his reaction a bit when Ayame-sensei showed the notes. Although his face didn't totally change, I felt as if he didn't want to draw attention to himself. Also, when we were on the bus, he also showed confusion when the driver referred to us as geniuses."

"However, even if he didn't want to draw attention to himself, he still took 50 points in all subjects?" Ryuzaki's voice sounded quite curious.

I could see what he was getting at. After all, someone scoring 50 points in all school subjects is the definition of getting attention, there's no way that's a coincidence. There were subjects with about 23, 27, 32 questions on the entrance exam. In order to get the result he wanted, he needed to know which questions were worth more or less points and manipulate them so that he could get exactly 50 points.

Doing this is not as simple as it sounds.

"That's why I said it's complicated," I said. "Just like you had mentioned in the classroom earlier, it's like he wants to get the attention of the school board. And on top of that, there's that video of him and Kaguya at the club fair. All his actions are confusing and contradict what he seems to really want."

He just hummed in reply.

Also, there is the fact that Ayame-sensei said about our class being made up of geniuses. I don't believe that shit one bit. Geniuses don't sprout from trees. Some can be really good in a certain subject, but that alone doesn't qualify a person to be considered a genius.

So why is our class called this? Was it simply because the principal saw us that way?

"Well, let's get it over with," Ryuzaki's voice spoke.

We looked at the door in front of us.

The metal plate on top of the door showed that this is indeed our destination.

The office of the first-year teachers.

The walk was quite short since our class is on the same floor. In fact, we had already arrived there while we were still talking.

I could hear voices coming from inside the room. Ryuzaki walked to the door and knocked softly.

The voices stopped as the sound of footsteps became louder.

The door was then opened.

We were greeted with the sight of a woman who appeared to be in her early 20s. She had pink hair and green eyes. Her outfit was a suit with black stockings and dark red high heels. She was looking at us with a rather stern expression, almost reminiscent of Shinomiya.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked.

Her tone was quite stern. However, she quickly looked at our different uniform. It seemed that she knew about us.

Ryuzaki stepped forward in a casual manner as she began to speak.

"We are Class 1-E, students of Ayame Himuro, I assume she is here. We would like to talk to her."

"Who are you?" A female voice in the background asked.

"They are students of Ayame Himuro," the pink haired woman opened the door and stepped aside. "I don't know what they want to talk about, but be quick."

We just nodded and entered the room.

"Rue-kun, Victorique-chan? What are you guys doing here?" Ayame-sensei's voice spoke.

I quickly began to scan the room more closely than before. There were five tables, each for each first-year teacher. In the corner of the room, there were several monitors on top of a large wooden table. The monitors showed exactly the same thing, a classroom.

The classrooms of each grade in the first years. Quite interesting

"Hey, are those your students Himuro-chan!?" One of the teachers exclaimed as she stood up and came over to us. "Hi, I'm Hoshinomiya Chie, class B teacher, it's a pleasure!"

She had the appearance of a young adult of medium height with light brown hair at chest height curly at the bottom with bangs hanging on the right side, purple eyes and a slender but well-endowed body.

Tch, damn women with big breasts.

"Rue Ryuzaki." He introduced himself and I did the same soon after.

"...Victorique de Blois."

"Oh my god, look at you!" She exclaimed before she started circling me quickly.

I could smell beer coming out of this damn woman's mouth. Had she just been drinking? She didn't drink during working hours, right?

"Look Kirisu-chan! She looks like a doll!" She exclaimed to the pink-haired woman as she grabbed my arm.

The said woman didn't say anything, she just looked at the whole scene with an annoyed face.

"Let me go, woman! I'm no doll!"

"Hoshimiya, let the girl go, she's obviously not liking you holding her like that"

"Yes, Hoshimiya-chan, please let my student go."

After struggling uselessly due to my physical ability being considered crap, the woman let me go when she was scolded by her co-workers.

"Hmpf! You guys are no fun, Shizuka-chan, Himuro-chan!" She pouted and looked away.

Is this woman really a teacher? What the hell is she, an elementary school girl?

The woman sitting next to Ayame-sensei who helped me was smoking a cigarette.

"Leaving the banter of these idiots aside, what are you guys doing here?" The other woman was silent until now spoke up.

"Wait, Sae-chan!" Hoshimiya-sensei's voice spoke, drawing everyone's attention to her. "You guys haven't introduced yourselves to them yet, right? So introduce yourselves!"

Ryuzaki was just listening to everything intently. However, since we entered this room, he looked at the monitors showing the images of the classrooms. A theory arose in my mind when I probably understood what he was after.

So that's it, huh.

The teachers, more precisely that animated woman and the other one she called Sae were having a little discussion. I didn't really pay much attention to their conversation, but the other woman let out a sigh as she turned to us.

"It's a waste of time trying to argue with you. Okay, my name is Chabashira Sae, I am the Class D teacher and I teach Japanese history."

Chabashira-sensei is a woman with long brown hair caught in a ponytail with bangs pulled to the left, brown eyes, and again, a well-endowed voluptuous body. Her outfit consists of a black blazer with a white polo shirt underneath, a short black skirt, stockings, and a pair of black heels.

The woman who was smoking was next.

"I'm Hiratsuka Shizuka, a Class C teacher, and while it's not entirely a subject here, I do teach a bit about Modern Japanese."

She is a tall woman with long black hair that falls over her shoulders and reaches her shins. She has a tousled fringe that covers her purple eyes. She was wearing a lab coat over her uniform, a black vest with a social shirt underneath, black pants and a tie.

Instinctively I turned to the pink-haired teacher who had not yet introduced herself. Hoshinomiya-sensei had called her Kirisu.

The said woman just stared at me for a few long seconds. Ryuzaki didn't even seem interested, but he clearly will remember their name. After finally some time, the woman just introduced herself.

"I am Mafuyu Kirisu, a Class A teacher. My main area of teaching is History."

Rather short introduction. So this is the Class A teacher, huh. I wonder how good she really is.

"So, now that the introductions have been made," Ayame-sensei turned to Ryuzaki who was now looking at her. "What did you two come here for?"

"He dragged me with him," I said.

She wasn't the only one who was curious about this. Apart from the Class A teacher, the rest seemed quite interested. I wondered what they were talking about before we arrived.

Ayame-sensei raised her eyebrows before turning to Ryuzaki.

He replied soon after.

"There is something I would like to buy with my private points."

"Oh?" Chabashira-sensei raised her eyebrows.

As soon as he said that, the teachers' attitude seemed to have totally changed. The air seemed to have become more serious and they were totally focusing their gazes on him, even the Class A teacher looked on with interest. The look that was stamping on their faces is quite obvious.

"Buy something with points, Ryuzaki-kun?" Hoshinomiya-sensei approached with a serious face. "Why would you come here in case you wanted to buy something with your private points?"

"I'm sure the speech my Class teacher gave is basically the same one you gave for your own Classes," he looked directly at Ayame-sensei. "You said on the first day of class that everything within the school campus can be bought with private points. However, when I tried to buy the possible 'manual', you said it's not for sale, right?"

As soon as he said it, the eyes of the female teachers, with the exception of Ayame-sensei, widened slightly.

He continued.

"Of course, there is a limit to what you can buy with the private points. After all, if it were really allowed to buy anything, then someone could just buy something like 'the right to kill some student, right'?" The casual way he said this could certainly scare a normal person. "However, I am strongly believing that what I want to buy is available with the amount of private points I have."

Ayame-sensei stepped forward, ignoring the stares she received from her co-workers.

"What you want to buy can only be gotten here, right?" She asked and he simply nodded. "Very well, tell me what it is and then we can see."

The attention is totally on him. I could imagine what he was asking for. His eyes wandered to the Class C teacher, who noticed his gazes on her.

It was then that his next words surprised.

"I want to buy the recording of the first two days of the Class C classroom."

...x...

...x...

"40,000 private points. Was it really worth spending that many points on this recording?" I couldn't help but ask as we walked down the hall.

The setting sun was already visible.

"It's not really a big disadvantage for me, I've always been a person of few things. Actually, I thought it would be more expensive. I mean, buying a non-existent point on a test costs 100,000 points, but the two-day classroom recording only costs 40,000?"

Although he was saying this, he was already certain that the purchase would not reach or pass 100,000 private points, otherwise he would not have told Jabami that it was not necessary for her to lend her private points to him. He seems to know something more about this school than the rest of us.

However, I am also curious. Why does recording the classroom cost so little like that?

"Besides, I could probably get the camera recording at no cost, but it would definitely draw a lot of attention. I did a little research on this school before I came here, apparently the technological protection of this school has increased quite a bit these past two years."

Is he suggesting that he could hack it? However, why on earth did he say that to me?

"Well, I am a little curious. Why did you want the recording of this particular class? Because of that, you needed to make an agreement with the Class C teacher that our class would not mention anything that is seen."

Truth be told, although the Class C teacher appeared to be calm, she was hiding an agitation. Whatever it was, there is something that happened in those two days inside that class. Because of this, Ryuzaki made a deal with a contract that was made at the last minute. Our class could not say anything about what we would see on that recording made by the cameras.

There is something he clearly knows, and that is why he specifically asked for the recording of the Class C classroom.

"Recording Class A would be a total waste of time and money. The same would be true for the Class B recordings. The only reason I bought these recordings from her is because I heard something quite interesting about Class C."

I really wasn't bored at this point.

"And what would that be?"

"Do you remember about what our teacher said about bullying on the first day of school?"

As soon as he said that, I correctly remembered Ayame-sensei's words on the first day of school.

"This school monitors bullying very carefully and if someone is found to have committed it, the punishment will be expulsion."

"Are you suggesting..."

"Apparently, the Class C leader rules the class with violence. And for him to have gained control of the class that fast, he surely must have done something in those two days."

We had already left the halls of the school and were inside the campus. Thank goodness there were no students around. I couldn't help but stare at him as I asked.

However, what he said made me think hard. Ruling the class with violence? If that was the case, he should have been expelled by now. This made me realize that things are not that simple.

"How did you get this information? I mean, we are only on the third day of class, and if this person who rules Class C with violence is at least intelligent, he would make sure that no one says anything, at least not at first. Besides, you don't seem like the kind of person who can interact easily with other people. No offense."

I can't believe he just heard that from some Class C students coincidentally.

He seemed to give some thought to what he was going to say next.

"Let's just say I got the information from a little bird."

I couldn't help but frown at that. He wasn't going to tell me anything more about it, so I didn't ask.

Instead.

"What are you going to do with the recording?"

"I will call our colleagues to watch the recording. Of course, I will check it myself first, and if there is indeed something interesting, I will send a message in the group chat with my dorm number. This way, there's no risk of me calling them for anything, right?"

"I see. In that case, I will go back to my dormitory. I am a little tired, I want to get to my room before boredom knocks me down again."

He just nodded at me.

However...

I could feel his intense eyes focused on me as I was leaving. It only stopped when I was out of his sight.

In the face of all this, I still couldn't help but think one last thing as I walked back to my dorm.

Why exactly did he call me to go with him?

Part 4

Lelouch's Pov:

"Is this everything sir?"

"Yes."

Leaving the store with a few purchases, I celebrated the fact that there were almost no other students around. Sure, there were still a few students who were sending glances at me, however, they are still few. I really can't understand the mind of this damned principal who made uniforms different from the rest of the students for us.

I had already tried to find somewhere to buy normal uniforms like everyone else, but there was no place that sold school uniforms. We will be left with only the two pairs of uniforms that we were given. Because of this we will have to endure a whole month of this shitty attention we are getting, as well as the whispers about us.

I really hope this all ends when this first month is over, I can't take these damn stares anymore.

"Hey, look at him, he looks like a prince."

"He's very handsome, what do you think about trying to get his number?"

"Not me, why don't you?"

"I'm embarrassed."

"He's coming here, keep it down."

I can hear you very well...

Well, at least they didn't say anything about my uniform.

Walking past the girls, I just did the usual, smiled and waved to them as politely as possible, although I wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible and go to my dorm.

"Kyaaaaaa! He waved at us!"

"I saw, he was staring at me when he did that!"

"What are you talking about? He was clearly looking at me."

"Don't talk nonsense, I'm sure it was me."

What's wrong with these girls?

I really wish Suzaki was here with me, but I'm glad he stayed behind just to take care of Nunnally. She was the real reason I came to this school. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't even think of entering an elite school like this, but with her insisting that I should finish my apprenticeship, I had no choice but to grant her request.

I was worried about leaving her alone, even if it was with Sayako, but with Suzaku helping, I was a little calmer. Even if the weather was peaceful, I knew it wouldn't last forever. With luck, I hope to complete my three years at this school.

At first, I thought that the people here would be similar to my old friends, but I was a little surprised. Well, the others look like any other people, but my classmates are different. Talented people placed in the same class is quite an interesting concept.

They treat me like someone normal, and unlike the other girls, none of the girls in my class look at me like they want to eat me. They are also not like the girls that I normally talk to. The boys also don't treat me like I'm something else. Bless me for being in this classroom.

As I walked, I quickly passed a store where alcoholic beverages such as wine and beer are sold. Although I had only been here for three days, I still found it a bit strange. People would certainly think they were for the teachers, in case they wanted to drink, but what's to stop some student from buying them too?

I confess that I am curious about this. So much so that I thought about going there myself and getting a beer, just to see what happens when I try to buy it. Would the salesman bar me for trying to buy liquor, or would he just let me buy it without much trouble? He might try to charge more too.

However, while I was thinking about this, something interesting came into my field of vision.

A girl - a student - with thigh length purple hair that is tied in a long ponytail on the right side with bangs to the right side and purple eyes, entered that very store.

What happened next surprised me greatly.

Minutes later she left the store without buying anything. However, it doesn't mean that she didn't pick up anything.

"...Did she just steal beer?" I muttered incredulously.

I currently had my cell phone in hand, and at this very moment, a message was sent to the group that Sora had created for our class.

The message had been sent by Ryuzaki.

[6:35:28 PM]: Ryuzaki: [There is something of extreme importance to be discussed. I need all of you to come to my dorm. Number 327]

This made me raise my eyebrows.

"It's probably something to do with him leaving with Victorique for the teachers' office."

Looking forward, I noticed that the purple haired girl was already out of sight.

I can feel a mischievous smile on my face.

It looks like things are going to be more interesting than I had thought.

Putting my cell phone in my pocket, I strode to my own dorm to put away the things I had just bought.

Stopping in front of my dorm, which the number is 666, I went in and put things away.

After that, I prepared to go to Ryuzaki's dorm.

Part 5

Ayanokouji's Pov:

I am currently in the dormitory number 327, but specifically, the dormitory belonging to Rue Ryuzaki, my classmate. He sent a message in the chat of our class group that Sora created, mentioning that there is something of extreme importance to be discussed.

Probably something regarding the fact that he left with Victorique for the teachers' office.

I was one of the first to arrive together with Sora and Shiro. We waited until no one was in the hallway to enter. The fact that he had called us here would certainly attract unwanted attention if people saw several students in the same black and gold uniforms entering the same dormitory.

Before long, Lelouch arrived, then Jabami. And before he knew it, everyone had arrived.

Some were sitting on Ryuzaki's bed and others had to be content with sitting on the floor. I was one of the people who was sitting on the floor.

Ryuzaki was the only one who was standing while holding a notebook computer.

He pulled out a small wooden table and placed the notebook computer on top. After that, he turned to us.

"Well, there is something I want to show you. But before we start, would you like some coffee? I'll get some for myself."

"I'd like some," I said.

"I'll pass."

"I don't like coffee."

"I'll take it."

"No."

Most refused and a few people accepted the coffee. Ryuzaki spent a few minutes in the dormitory kitchen before returning with a few mugs of coffee. He handed them out to the people he had asked.

Ryuzaki quickly sat down on the floor in front of his computer and put his coffee on the side after taking a sip. He started going through some things.

I noticed that there was a bottle of water on the wooden table. Looking at the coffee, I wondered what would happen if I added water to it. Well, I could take my curiosity out of it another time, after all, it seems that he finally finished what he wanted to do.

Ryuzaki turned to us.

"You guys are probably wondering why you are here. And yes, as many, if not all of you have realized, it is related to the fact of the move I spoke of earlier. Victorique and I went to the teachers' office because I was after something."

"And are you finally going to tell us what this 'something' is, or are we going to play guessing games?" Lelouch spoke with a sarcastic tone. He was clearly impatient.

"Yeah, I'm pretty curious myself, Ryuzaki," Light spoke as he sipped some coffee. "Why did you call everyone here?"

Everyone was curious. Sora and Shiro who were playing on their cell phones earlier, stopped and were staring at him. Everyone was curious.

Although some asked Victorique at first, since she went with him, she refused to explain anything and just said that he would explain everything. She was the one lying on Ryuzaki's bed like it was hers at first, but currently she is sitting on the bed.

He went back to fiddling with the computer as he spoke. "Do you guys remember what our teacher said on the first day of class about bullying?"

"That the school monitors bullying very carefully and that if it is discovered it will result in the expulsion of the person responsible?" Jabami commented casually with a finger on her chin.

"Exactly. However, it seems that this information is not so true," Ryuzaki spoke while sipping some coffee.

I could see Light frowning at his eyebrows as he sent a questioning look to Ryuzaki who couldn't see, after all, he had his back to him.

"What do you mean by that, Ryuzaki-san?" Miyuki asked the question that Light seemed to want to ask, her tone came out softly, but she had a confused look about it.

"Well, see for yourselves and draw your own conclusions," he said that and stepped out of front of the computer screen.

"A recording of the classroom?" Kaguya asked with raised eyebrows.

"Yes, more specifically, a recording of the Class C classroom on the second day." Ryuzaki replied.

The footage showed the Class C students arguing with a person sitting at the teacher's desk. He is a young man of medium height with shoulder-length magenta hair that is styled on both sides and piercing magenta-colored eyes. In addition, he has a slender and muscular physique.

The recording had no audio, but if I can see his mouth moving clearly, I can guess what he is saying. Luckily, the camera angle showed this clearly. It seems that Ryuzaki purposely showed this angle so that we can lip read. I am not sure if all my colleagues can read lips, but I will assume that at least some are capable of it.

From the reading I can do, he was addressing his class by saying that he would be the leader. He didn't say that he wants to be, but that he will be. A statement. Most people seemed not to agree with him.

It was at this moment that everything happened. A student with dark green hair and eyes tried to challenge the boy with magenta hair. The result was a simple punch to the face of the green haired boy.

"What the hell?" Sora's voice was heard.

Looking to the side, I could see that Light was sawing off his fists. What surprised me the most was that face that usually had a gentle smile was replaced by a deadly look sent to the computer screen. Although I was curious about this unusual event, I didn't look too closely, after all, I also wanted to see the rest of the recording.

Afterwards, even a blue-haired girl who tried to argue got beaten up. He hit the girl, simply like this.

"Nii..."

"The hell?"

Looking back briefly, I fixed my gaze on Shiro and Sora. They actually looked the most frightened about the whole thing. The mere fact that that student beat up a girl like it was simple sure scared the hell out of them. Sora was holding hands with Shiro who was trembling a little.

I turned my gaze to the screen, only to see a rather muscular black man with sunglasses.

"Hey, what the hell is that?" Lelouch's voice said with a confused tone.

"...A student? I mean, he's wearing his school uniform..." Ai spoke for the first time in a while.

"...Is that reallya student...?" Kaguya's voice sounded incredulous.

The plot continued with the muscular man saying something and then he cut in on the fight. Anyone who saw this would say that the magenta-haired student was going to get a lot of beatings. And indeed he did. The muscle man punched him in the face and knocked him down. However, they continued to fight for some time before the fight stopped with something that the magenta-haired student commented on.

What happened next was a bit confusing as it seems that the muscle student joined the magenta haired student.

The recording stopped soon after and a small silence settled in.

"What kind of clowning is this, Ryuzaki?" The person who broke the silence was Light.

However, his tone of voice was totally different from anything I had heard him talk about in the first few days. I certainly wasn't the only one to notice this, given a few surprised glances in his direction.

"I... I don't understand," Miyuki muttered. "This person, he was expelled, right?"

"No. He's the leader of Class C. And as you can see, he took the position of leader through violence."

"That shit doesn't make any sense!" That was the first time I heard Light scream. "Ayame-sensei said that the school treats bullying very carefully, so why on earth would they allow this, even more so with the recording!?"

Well, this all happened inside the classroom itself, probably right after their teacher left. However, he seemed to be strangely altered by this.

Maybe my thought from the day before that he might have been a victim of bullying is right?

"I'm of the same opinion as him here," Kaguya commented, her cold voice had returned. "Would you mind explaining this to us, Ryuzaki?"

Lelouch was, surprisingly quiet. He seemed to be thinking deeply with both hands together as he stared at the computer screen.

Ryuzaki began to explain.

"I agree that all this is strange, but there is a reason. The most logical explanation is to think that the school will only take action against him if his own classmates, the victim of the possible bullying, or someone else reports him, so even if the camera records all this, it's still useless if people keep quiet."

"What is the point of having the cameras then? Besides the fact that they monitor us for the subtraction of points next month." Jabami's question is understandable.

"The proof of the violence is on the camera. That is, if someone reports what he did, he can't get away with it, in fact. The school seems to want students to solve their own problems, after all, in real life you can't expect to depend on anyone. Besides, this school is doing just that, isn't it?"

Indeed. Those who graduate from Class A will be able to choose any field of work or college, but the journey will be quite long for that. The biggest teaching the school seems to want to pass on is to make students solve their own problems. They will be taught to be suspicious of things because of the large number of points. Our own class is going to be used as a teaching for them to look for information, after all, they are going to investigate us at some point because of their curiosity that we are different.

"It's still ridiculous!" Light spoke up. "If they tolerate things like this, they are nothing but scum! If they allow violence like this, what will happen to those who think the school doesn't give a shit? They might go so far as to kill someone."

Although he was being extreme, he was not entirely wrong. If the violent students found out that the school wouldn't do anything if they weren't reported for minor bullying cases, they would want to scare everyone into saying nothing. However, the moment someone comes along who would not be intimidated enough and would report those responsible for the bullying, then things could take on gigantic proportions, after all, expulsion is the punishment for cases of extreme bullying.

As soon as he said this, I saw some of my classmates become more uncomfortable with the subject, especially Sora and Shiro.

"I don't think it would get that far," Lelouch spoke up and stared into Ryuzaki's eyes. "Don't you?"

Ryuzaki took what seemed to be the last sip of his coffee and placed the mug on the wooden table. He answered Lelouch's question soon after.

"Yes, I find it incredibly difficult to get to this point. We must not forget that if students report it, those responsible will be punished. Also, even if the violence happened, it was not that extreme. Two of the students who didn't like the fact that he wanted to be the leader of their class questioned him and got involved in the fight. The third seemed to just want to stop the violence."

What he was saying is that neither party was seriously hurt, so the school decided that there would be no big problem with letting it go. Unless someone reports it, of course. However, I am thinking that the school is going too far for people to solve their own problems.

"If this is the case, we can just report it for them, right?" Light was finally calming down. "The reason they didn't report anything is because of the fact that they were afraid of him. So there won't be a problem if we do it ourselves."

"This is out of the question," the voice of Victorique who was again lying on Ryuzaki's bed spoke.

Light turned to Victorique. "What do you mean by that?"

"He made a deal with the Class C teacher, after all, he had to buy the recording of her classroom."

All eyes turned to Ryuzaki, who confirmed this.

"This is true. We made a last-minute contract."

"I bet the contract is that our class won't be able to say anything about what we saw on the recording, right?" Lelouch asked.

"Exactly. The contract required that anything seen on the recording would be kept confidential. I bought the recording of the first two days, they cost 40,000 points. However, there was something I added to that contract, something that even Victorique didn't know about."

As soon as he said that, Victorique quickly got up from the bed. She looked curious, as did everything else.

"Was it at that moment that you began to keep your voice down?" She asked.

"Indeed. After all, that part of the contract was added at the last moment, not even the other teachers are aware of it. I had to wait for the perfect moment for that."

"Well, what are you waiting for, just tell me what it is," Sora who was quiet most of the time, finally opened his mouth to speak. He seemed to be calmer.

"Well, it's really no big deal. At the beginning of next month, the points I used to buy the recordings will be returned to me by her."

"Oh. That explains why you seem so unconcerned about it," Victorique nodded.

"Was that all?" I spoke for the first time.

Ryuzaki looked at me. I didn't know if I was being too paranoid, but he seemed to be looking at me with more intensity than when he looked at the others.

"Even though I was quite curious about the C class after I heard that their leader only became leader through violence, my main goal was to get more information about the purchase system using private points. Although I asked a lot of things to our teacher on the first day of class, it is still very strange."

"What do you mean by very strange, Ryuzaki-kun?" Ai asked curiously.

"A single non-existent point on a test costs 100,000 private points, but the two-day classroom recording only costs 40,000. I may just be overthinking this, but I wonder if there is any reason or logic to the prices. Since we can't have such a manual, it would be very helpful to be able to predict how much such a thing would cost."

"Can't we just ask Ayame-sensei? I mean, she answered all the questions about the prices of the things you asked, right?" Miyuki tilted her head.

It was Sora who answered her question

"It would take too much time. Who knows how many things we can actually buy? Besides, there will be the class warfare exams. Although we will be able to ask the price of something that is related to the exam when it is happening, if we can predict what we might be able to buy and how much it would cost, it would be very efficient and beneficial for us. Don't forget that our class has only 11 people, we are totally at a disadvantage compared to the other classes when it comes to accumulated private points."

Sora is right.

The essential thing for us is to have inside information about the exams. Just knowing the theme of the exam that will take place in the future would help a lot.

"Oh, I see."

"I've been thinking... could the student council have information about the exams before they occur?" I thought aloud.

"It's highly likely," Victorique replied.

"Well, that student council president seemed to possess great authority, didn't he?" Sora muttered.

"He seemed pretty important," Shiro spoke for the first time in agreement with Sora.

"In that case, it's all the more reason for me to join the student council," Kaguya didn't say that to anyone.

"Well, if they really have some privilege over exams, I also agree that someone from our class has to be on the student council," Jabami commented.

"Miyuki, your brother is on the student council, isn't he?" I asked.

She turned to me and nodded. "Yes."

"In that case, could you ask him about it? If they have information about the exams that will take place in the future."

There is a possibility that the student council itself may have a finger in some of these exams, so all information is essential.

"...Well, I can ask yes. However, I am not sure if he will answer."

"Nonsense, you are his sister. I doubt he'll refuse to answer a silly question like that."

Miyuki just turned to Lelouch after this comment from him.

"Well, I think it's good that we should leave. It's getting late," I stood up. "Oh, before I forget. Guys, I think we'd better come to school even earlier starting tomorrow."

"You can't be serious, Ayanokouji," Victorique looked at me with deadly eyes. "It's not enough that we have to wake up earlier than usual, but we'll have to go even earlier?"

"I think Ayanokouji is worried about attention, isn't he?" A much calmer Light commented with a small smile. However his smile seemed much more fake than it usually is.

"Exactly. I think we'll have at most two weeks before they start coming to investigate us themselves."

The class leaders. They've certainly heard about us, but haven't acted on it yet.

"I guess that's true. Well, I can agree with that."

Everyone seemed to agree without much trouble except Victorique. After that, everyone made their own way to their own dormitories.

Ai said goodbye before she and Kaguya went to the women's dormitory section.

Shiro, Sora and I went together, since our dorms are not so far away from each other.

...

...

...

Walking back to my dorm next to Sora and Shiro who were strangely too quiet, I thought about what to do. They weren't even playing on their cell phones, they seemed to be deep in thought about something.

"Sora, Shiro, are you guys okay?" I asked.

"Uh, oh, Ayanokouji. Don't worry, Shiro and I are fine yes."

"Yes, we're perfectly fine," Shiro replied.

Okay, they sure aren't fine.

"You know I don't believe that at all, right? Is this about the tape of that student beating up the girl and boy in his class?"

As soon as I asked that, I felt the air become more tense. They didn't answer anything for a few seconds, and I began to wonder if I had asked a question I shouldn't have.

However, Sora spoke up.

"I doubt that student didn't see the cameras around his classroom, even if they were small. Yet he was still able to do that? He hit that girl without the slightest hesitation," he explained calmly, yet I could see him squeezing Shiro's hand harder. "I was relieved when Ayame-sensei said that they monitor bullying very carefully, but they're ignoring something like that..."

I didn't know anything about their past, but apparently they had a pretty hard life.

I guess we are similar in that way.

However, I could understand his concern. He and Shiro are quite intelligent and are the best at games. Even though I have only seen their strength in chess and in that mobile game, I don't doubt the statement that they are considered the best in all kinds of games.

However, they did not possess much physical strength, so much so that running for only a few moments was able to make them tired. The greatest weakness of both of them becomes quite clear when you think about it, after all, what could they do if their opponent decided to use violence against them?

"Are you worried in case something like that might occur to you?" I received no answer, but their actions were more than enough to know that I am right. "There is no reason to be that afraid. If you are the target of any violence, you can simply report the person responsible, besides, there are cameras everywhere, not just in the classrooms."

"Although you are right, it is not that simple," he spoke up. "Indeed, there are cameras everywhere, but there are certainly blind spots. Having any kind of evidence is important too. I don't think we will be targets of any violence in the future, but it is still an uncomfortable subject for us."

I could sense that his biggest concern about all this is due to Shiro.

Most of our classmates didn't seem to be so precarious in physical matters. Sora, Shiro and Victorique are pretty obvious, Lelouch also said that he is not good with things involving physical exertion. This makes four of our 11 classmates bad at something involving physical activity.

Exactly 36.36% of our class.

With the exception of Victorique and Shiro, the other girls don't look like they're going to have any problems on physical tests. Kaguya herself mentioned that she has done martial arts, and since she and Ai seem to be very close, it is entirely likely that Ai has also studied some martial arts.

I can't comment much on Miyuki and Jabami. However, I will be able to get a better view of my classmates in the physical aspect when we have our physical education class.

"You don't have to worry so much about Shiro," I said suddenly, causing them both to look at me. "At least as long as I am a student in this school, I can protect both of you from anyone with violent intentions."

My words seem to have surprised them both.

Sora and Shiro are people I have befriended and spent the most time with since coming to this school. I can tell that in the future this friendship will only grow stronger, so if I say this I can make them open up to me more in the future.

Their dependence on me will be built little by little.

"I see," Sora smiled. "In that case, I will count on you to protect me and my beautiful little sister from any bandits!" He sent a positive sign.

Bandit?

I had already arrived at my dorm. I was about to say goodbye to them when I felt a hand gently grabbing my uniform. Looking away, I realized that the one responsible was Shiro who was looking at me.

"Is there a problem, Shiro?" I asked.

Sora was just watching with a raised eyebrow.

She took her cell phone with her other hand and spoke to me. "It's still 7:30 at night. Would you like to play with us for a while?"

I was a little surprised by the sudden invitation. Sora also seemed surprised that his sister had invited me to play. Because they hadn't interacted with many people, I could assume that this must be the first time Shiro had taken the initiative.

She was probably talking about the same game I played with them the day before.

I thought about it for a while and quickly came to the conclusion that it would be no problem. I wasn't sleepy anyway.

"Well, I don't really care. Would you like to play the game in my room?"

"I don't mind, we're already here anyway," Sora said as he walked over and put his hand on Shiro's head. "I'm sure Shiro doesn't mind either, right?"

She shook her head in agreement.

"Well, in that case, let's go."

I feel like I've gotten a little closer to them.

Part 6

"Well, I finally get to see some of my classmates' performance," I muttered to no one in particular.

It's been a week since the entrance ceremony.

I continued playing League of Legends with Sora and Shiro for a few days. Not only that, but Sora and I ended up playing chess against each other. Although his unpredictable style was something interesting, I still managed to win after he made one small mistake. Since I was playing against him alone, Shiro could not help.

He was a little surprised that he lost, but he was also quite excited about the fact that someone other than his sister could beat him at chess. I didn't get a chance to play against Shiro, though.

Spending time playing games with someone without caring about the fact that I am being watched through the glass is really a new experience for me.

The first few classes continued as usual until lunchtime. After lunchtime, the long awaited swimming lesson to observe the physical prowess of my classmates, as the physical attributes of Class E will be tested, finally began.

A small wager was raised by Sora before the class began. It was 1,000 points to enter the bet between faster swimmers and slower ones. The moment Jabami heard "bet" coming out of Sora's mouth, she was already present with her cell phone in hand.

Well, I suppose betting between classmates isn't so bad, and if this serves to satiate her desire to bet, it's not such a bad deal, right?

Well, betting between the fastest of the boys was easy, after all, I bet on myself. Ryuzaki and Light seemed decent, but I doubted that they could beat me. The slowest of the boys was also a bit easy, but I would be lying if I said I had no doubts at all.

After all, between Sora and Lelouch, which of the two is the worst swimmer? I ended up betting on Sora, who I'm sure wasn't too happy to see that almost everyone bet on him being the slowest swimmer, with the exception of Shiro who was the only one to bet on Lelouch.

My vision for betting on him was quite simple. Thanks to our conversations, it was pretty clear that they did almost nothing but play and sleep. In fact, I was actually quite surprised that they said they could swim.

Lelouch seemed to be the safest option, because even if he was not so good at physical activities, he certainly still moved around a bit.

The betting for the girls' side was the hardest. The ones that would be the slowest will be Victorique or Shiro for sure.

However, which one is the worst?

I haven't talked to Victorique much, but she seems to have a very similar physique to Shiro. All this with the fact that she only reads books or solves crimes, as she had once said. This meant that she almost never left the house, as did Shiro, as she was playing games with Sora all the time.

All this information is largely from the bus presentation and few conversations I had with them.

In the end, I bet on Shiro to be the slowest.

When it came to the fastest swimmer, it was more difficult to choose. The most obvious choice would be Kaguya, after all she mentioned having done martial arts before, so she must have a pretty decent body for physical activities. Although, I'm also pretty dubious about Ai and Jabami.

The information I had about the girls to bet on the fastest one was not enough, so I chose the one with the highest possibility of winning. That is, I bet on Kaguya.

At the moment, I, as well as all the other boys, were getting changed for swimming class. Initially it was quite difficult to disentangle Shiro from Sora and vice versa. However, they would have to get used to being apart, even for a short time. The girls promised to stay close to Shiro while they changed.

"Do you play any sports or train anything, Ayanokouji?" Ryuzaki asked me this simple question as we were changing out of our school uniforms into our bathing suits.

"I'm a little curious myself. Your body is well built."

"Ayanokouji mentioned that you did martial arts, didn't you?" Sora commented casually.

"Yes, I trained a bit in martial arts when I was younger. I'm thinking of joining the school's gym, since I've been idle for a while."

"Is there a gym here for physical exercise at the school?" asked Sora.

Although he seemed calm, I could see his hands shaking. Is that because of the fact that he is away from Shiro? Entering the conversation might be helping him not to overthink the subject.

"With so many clubs like karate and others, you think I wouldn't have an gym?" Lelouch replied with a mocking tone.

"Oh, right, I forgot that detail," Sora dismissed Lelouch's mocking comment with extreme ease, which made Lelouch himself raise an eyebrow. "Okay, I'm done! Shiro I'm coming!"

He rushed off after he finished changing.

"Well, we should go too."

...

...

"Shiro!"

"Nii!"

They wrapped themselves in a tight embrace and were literally crying with joy.

"... Looks pretty bad, huh," Ryuzaki muttered.

Sora quickly turned to us. As if realizing what we were thinking, he replied:

"Yes, I know we have to figure out a way to fix this. However, it's not that easy. Give us a little time."

"You don't have to stop depending on each other, but you have to try to act more independently," Kaguya replied.

"Yes, I know," Sora sighed in defeat.

"Oh, you possess quite a sexy body, Ayanokouji-san," Jabami's familiar voice with such an unexpected comment made me look at her.

Not just her, but all my colleagues.

"Jabami-san...!" Miyuki seemed the most surprised by such a comment.

"This is an unexpectedly bold comment," Light commented with a raised eyebrow.

"I am merely stating a fact. But don't feel bad, Light-san, you and Ryuzaki-san are not far behind," she complimented with a smile.

"Hey, what about me! Don't shut me out while you compare the boys' bodies!" Sora complained.

Jabami looked at him with her head tilted. "But there is nothing to compare with you, Sora-san."

Due to the fact that Sora was frozen by her frank answer with an innocent tone, as well as the fact that his face lost color along with a small ghost coming out of his mouth, this must have been a great critical hit.

Ai approached me and began to slowly circle me before she stopped in front of me.

"Well, she's not wrong. You possess quite a body, Kiyotaka-kun!"

Her sincere compliment deserves sincere retribution.

"Well, you're also quite pretty, Ai."

Although the girls were wearing school swimsuits, it still looked good on all of them from what I could see.

"Oh, Kiyotaka-kun and Ai, huh?" Lelouch approached us with an amused smile. "Since when have you two been this close?"

All week long, Ai and I didn't talk much in the presence of all of our classmates, so they still didn't know that we were calling each other by our first names. When I asked her why she was calling me by my first name, she just replied that since I was doing it, it's only fair that she should do it too.

It was a totally logical answer, something I would probably say. Although, Kaguya was still calling me by my last name.

"That's a good question. These two have been holding some kind of secret for quite a while," Sora grumbled.

Why did you have to say it like that, Sora?

The expected effect happened, several curious eyes were directed at the two of us.

"...Eh, could Ayanokouji-san and Hayasaka-san be dating?"

"We're not dating or anything like that," I quickly denied, only to feel Ai's foot stepping on mine, "What?"

"You don't have to deny it that fast!"

Why the hell does she seem to be angry about this? I just replied with the truth, there is nothing between us.

Her face was also a little red.

Lelouch kept making some jokes about us, but I didn't show any reaction.

And in the face of all this chaos, Victorique was sitting on the side of the wall with her head against it. I could hear her mumbling things like "Stupid class," "Boring. I really started to feel a little sorry for her.

"Speaking of which, where's our teacher, isn't she late?" Ryuzaki commented.

"I am here," Ayame-sensei's voice said.

A curiosity, when Ayame-sensei said that she will be our permanent teacher for all classes, she said it literally. The day before our swimming class, she let us know that she would be the one teaching the swimming class. Well, we all expected that anyway.

"You're late by two minutes and thirty-six seconds, Ayame-sensei," Victorique commented with an annoyed look on her face.

Ayame-sensei just raised her eyebrow before looking at a watch on her wrist.

Looking closely at Ayame-sensei, I noticed that she was wearing an all red bikini. She really did look quite beautiful.

"Well, sorry I'm late. I ended up having some... trouble finding my bathing suit."

A few eyebrows rose when she said that, but no one commented anything.

"Okay, let's do the exercises."

...

...

...

We were getting ready to do the swimming exercises that Ayame-sensei requested.

Something I noticed right away was that no students were looking at the girls or Ayame-sensei much for a long time. Well, I could see Sora sending a few glances at the girls with the exception of Shiro, but Shiro quickly pinched him every time he looked at a girl too much.

He was certainly no pervert, just a boy in his teens like anyone else here.

"Ayame-sensei," Victorique's voice was heard. Her tone sounded rather tired and bored.

"Is there a problem, Victorique-chan?"

"If I can't swim, can I go to sleep?" She asked blatantly.

It was an obvious lie, she clearly knew how to swim, but simply wanted to get rid of herself to get rid of the class.

"If it is really the case that you don't know how to swim, I will teach you myself. After all, knowing how to swim is something basic that will serve you in many situations and will surely be useful to you in the future," Ayame-sensei replied.

Well, this seems to be a hint for me. Knowing how to swim should be useful for future special exams that may occur, especially since the school has to teach various things about possible job professions during the three years we will be in school.

The pool is quite luxurious.

As soon as I got inside the pool, I immediately realized that the water was not cold. The temperature is probably controlled. This makes me wonder how much money the government spent on the creation of this school with various stores and entertainment venues. Sure it was an absurd fortune, but what could they hope to gain in return for all this?

I don't think they did all this just to discover new talents of people who will be the future of Japan in the future. Human beings are greedy, especially those in power.

"Right."

I started swimming the 50 meters, then waited for everyone to finish.

"You saw it, right!? I made it all the way!" Sora exclaimed as if he was proud of his performance.

"Why are you proud of that mediocre performance?" Kaguya gave a frank reply.

"Hey! Just because it may be mediocre for you, doesn't mean it is for me too! I thought my performance was pretty good for someone who plays games all day."

Kaguya just rolled her eyes and said nothing more.

He finished the swim just before Victorique and Shiro who seemed to be tied.

"Yeah, there shouldn't be any problems," Ayame-sensei muttered before starting to speak louder. "Listen up everyone, I'm going to separate you into genders. There are five boys and six girls. The girls will go first and the boys will go next. You will compete against each other in a fifty-meter swim race."

"W-what!?" Sora exclaimed in a panic. "...You're kidding, right Ayame-sensei?"

Well, I can understand why he is clearly not enjoying this, however, this was a perfect opportunity for our bet from before. Initially, we were going to wait for Ayame-sensei to let us make ourselves comfortable in the pool for this, but that will no longer be necessary.

"Don't be so discouraged, Sora-kun. I will be giving a prize of 5,000 private points to the winners of both races, that's a good incentive, right?" Ayame-sensei said with a small smile.

She clearly looked different from the first day of class.

5,000 private points, huh. Sora didn't seem too excited about the reward, as he knew it was impossible for him to win the boys' swim race. He wasn't the only one, after all, the less skilled swimmers had obvious disgust on their faces while the more skilled ones seemed interested in the idea of winning more private points.

Well, our class has a clear disadvantage in accumulated private points compared to other classes, so any extra amount is always welcome.

The girls were already prepared to swim. Shiro and Victorique did not look happy about this at all. They would clearly lag behind the others.

My eyes met Ai's and she waved cheerfully at me. I just made a good luck gesture and waited until the swim race started.

My biggest curiosity here is in Jabami and Miyuki, since I hadn't interacted much with them.

The girls' race started and they all jumped into the water.

As the race came to an end, I can only say that the results were interesting. I got lucky with the betting.

The results were:

Ai Hayasaka: 26.69 seconds.

Kaguya Shinomiya: 27.20 seconds.

Shiba Miyuki: 29.70 seconds.

Jabami Yumeko: 34 seconds.

Victorique de Blois: 45 seconds.

Shiro: 51.20 seconds.

Kaguya ended up taking second place with Ai taking first. This result really surprised me a bit. Next came Miyuki with a pretty good time as well. Jabami came fourth, but she wasn't that far behind. The ones who really took the longest to finish were Victorique and Shiro.

Sora congratulated Shiro for managing to complete the course in less than a minute, which I honestly don't think is a reason to be proud or technically happy.

"Congratulations, Hayasaka-chan, you have earned the 5,000 private points. I will transfer it to you at the end of this class, so let's get started with the boys' swim race."

Finally it was our turn.

"Good luck, Kiyotaka-kun! I know you can win!" Ai openly cheered for me.

"That kind of exercise isn't fair," Sora grumbled.

"While I agree with you on that, life itself is not fair," Lelouch commented with a not at all happy tone. He didn't seem to be excited about this arrangement either.

We were all ready, waiting for Ayame-sensei's signal to jump into the pool and start the 50-meter course.

I began to wonder how much I should show. I would be aiming for first place since I bet on myself in the spreadsheet. I don't think I need to go all out to win first place. Sora and Lelouch are completely out of the question here, so my real opponents are Ryuzaki and Light.

Speaking of Light, he was acting a little strange ever since he saw that recording of the Class C classroom. I didn't mind this so much, though. I am confident that he won't do anything too stupid, so let's focus on this little swim race.

With Ayame-sensei's signal to start, we dove into the water of the pool.

I didn't focus too much on the position of all the students while swimming, but I kept a pace that could be considered pretty fast, but not fast enough to look like something ridiculous for a high school student. Although I had no idea about the average swimming speed of a high school boy or girl.

I couldn't use my classmates to compare this.

As soon as I finished the race, I got out of the pool. As expected, I was first and the others came soon after.

"You're pretty fast. Did you practice swimming too?" Ryuzaki asked me as he approached me.

"Well, I swam a little, but I never got to train that seriously. I don't think it was that amazing."

"That's an impressive speed for someone who doesn't train," Light said.

"Man... how the hell can you guys be that fast?" Sora asked breathlessly.

Lelouch also seemed to be short on breath, but he was clearly much better than Sora.

"All right boys, these are the results!" Ayame-sensei presented us with the results of the boys' swim race.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka: 26.10 seconds.

Yagami Light: 27.46 seconds.

Rue Ryuzaki: 29.34 seconds.

Lelouch Lamperouge: 38 seconds.

Sora: 43 seconds.

The results were satisfactory.

"With that, both Ayanokouji-kun and Hayasaka-chan earned 5,000 private points," Ayame-sensei said.

She quickly transferred the points to us right away and then the swimming lesson was finally over. My classmates congratulated us for winning the 5,000 private points.

However, when I was alone for a moment, Victorique approached me.

"You held your own, didn't you?" She said suddenly.

"Hm? What are you talking about?"

"Don't play dumb. Although it's not so simple to notice, nothing escapes my view. The change in the water when you overtook Light and Ryuzaki. You could have gone faster."

Change in the water? Is she really saying that she was able to notice that I slowed down because of a change in the water? That was quite intriguing. I could imagine her citing other reasons to say that I held back, but change in the water? Was she really able to see such a thing in that race?

What the hell kind of eyes does she possess?

"I still think you are thinking too much."

"All right," she sighed and left.

It seemed that she wasn't going to talk about it anymore.

Part 7

Two days after the swimming lesson, Kaguya spoke to the class after the lesson was over.

"Most of you seem to be out of your minds during class with the exception of science class. Especially you Victorique. I've also noticed that some of you don't seem to be taking note of the subjects the teacher writes on the blackboard."

Victorique just looked at her.

"Well, excuse me for getting bored seeing things I already know."

Well, she was right for the most part. Although we were not misbehaving, we certainly became more relaxed during this first week. I don't think we were to blame, after all, most of us already seemed to know the subjects taught by heart, with the exception of science class.

The only ones who were really taking things completely seriously in class were Kaguya herself, Ai, Miyuki and Jabami. Light and Ryuzaki were also paying attention most of the time, but they were also relaxed from time to time.

"Well, I don't totally sympathize with you on this, after all, there are still several things for me to learn. However, it is still something that could be quite dangerous for us. I'm talking about the class points in specific," Kaguya replied.

"Could you explain your vision to us better?" Sora questioned her.

"It's pretty simple. I'm used to keeping up appearances in society thanks to my family. We are not messing up or causing any problems for the classroom, but we are still too relaxed. Our class is special and is treated as a class of geniuses. In other words, we are basically the elite of this school. That said, shouldn't we behave accordingly?"

"Is it really a big problem not to take note of what we already know?" I asked just to be sure.

I didn't have much idea how the hell society really worked, after all I'd spent practically my entire life inside the White Room. I could speculate a few things, but that's all they are, speculation.

Kaguya seemed to be more experienced with this sort of thing because of her family.

"Yes, it definitely is. In society, you are expected to keep up appearances, among many other things. When you're in the job market, even if you were to finish your job early, you should still behave appropriately." The way she answered my question, it's as if she has her own experience with this.

I see. So, this is one of the things the system will teach us, heh.

After her explanation, everyone seemed to agree with the argument.

"In other words, you think the way we will be evaluated will be more severe compared to the other classes, don't you?" Lelouch spoke in understanding.

Kaguya nodded. Ai stood beside her listening in silence.

"...More severe?" Shiro's whisper was heard by Sora.

"It is simple, my dear little sister. What Shinomiya means is that our points will be deducted by a greater amount than the other classes. If I were to give an example to make it seem simpler, let's say that 'such and such' thing that Class D did will cause 10 class points from them to be reduced, but should it be us who do the same thing, our points reduction will be double or even triple."

Shiro's eyes widened upon hearing this.

He is right. Our class is also very small compared to the other classes, so this might also have some kind of impact at the time of evaluation.

My classmates seemed to have more serious faces and the air was more tense.

"Of course, all of this is just guesswork at the moment. However, we can't risk too much, can we?" Kaguya added.

"I see, that's a totally likely assumption," Light commented with a thoughtful face.

"We are already at a disadvantage when it comes to accumulated private points, as we only have 1,100,000 compared to the other classes' four million. We can't take this kind of risk," Lelouch's voice sounded somewhat irritated.

"So we will have to act like truly elite students from now on?" Jabami asked.

"Exactly. At least the most important thing is that first month."

"This is going to be a real drag," Victorique didn't even try to hide her dismay at that.

"There's nothing we can do about it. Kaguya's assumption is highly likely. We'd better at least pretend to look like we're paying attention to the whole class from now on," Ryuzaki spoke up.

After some minor exchanges, we all agreed to pay more attention to the class schedule. Not everyone seemed excited to do this, but it had to be done.

When we had finished things for the day and were ready to leave, I approached Kaguya.

"Hey, Kaguya, are you still planning to join the student council?" I asked.

"Oh, Ayanokouji. Yes, but I'll leave that for when the first month passes."

I see, still the attention thing, heh.

I chatted with her and Ai for a while before we left.

...

...

...

It had been about 12 days since the class had started.

However, the end of this class was completely different.

About 10 minutes after Ayame-sensei left, chaos arrived with the force of a kick in our classroom.

Bam!

Immediately everyone's attention went to the door that was open. A person's foot was in sight before the person in charge put it down.

Slowly, a male voice spoke.

"Kukuku. So this is it, huh?"

The same magenta hair that we had seen on the Class C classroom recording was here.

In other words, the tyrant leader of Class C was in our classroom.

However, he was not the only one who had come here.

"Fufufu, Ryueen-kun, I don't think kicking the door in this way is nice for a first visit."

"Fuck you damned loli, do I seem to be wanting to act pleasant?"

"So this is where your classroom was, huh."

"Well, I said it had to be here. We couldn't find any Class E on the student floors."

More voices were heard as new people entered inside our classroom.

"Katagiri!?" Sora exclaimed surprised to see a familiar person. The black haired girl was also with him.

"Oh, so this is the mysterious Class E, huh." A muscular blond man entered soon after with a mirror and a hair comb.

And again, a new female voice was heard as new people entered.

"Senpaissss~"

...It seems that what little was left of our peace had come to an end.

"Generally, where there is chaos, there is also turbulence
