Complexity: The PX-Project

Elena and her team were having lunch with her team. Today's lunch was special as they have Appelflap and kibbeling. She could not resist the fragrance and the savory of the Dytch dish. It would be more savory if Pierre could join her. She went to his office and invited him for lunch just to get a rejection. He said he was working on a new project and must focus,

"That's a damn nerd" she murmured while taking a bite of kibbeling, releasing her frustration. 

"Did you say something Elena?" one of her team noticed an unusual expression. "No-nothing"

"Well, she must be thinking about the director," a female colleague teased her. 

"I just worried about his health" Elena shy, 

"Look! She is flustering" 

"Are you two on a date?" Another woman colleague asked

But not to answer, a notification of an incoming mail came, as she reached out her phone, an announcement spoke 

"We are glad to welcome our new Chief scientist at NRE, Miss Elena Ornstein!" 

A surprise announcement spoke loud through the crowd of the canteen in the central unit. Her team was silent while processing the announcement, as Elena finished reading her email. The same content was sent to her. She was appointed as the new chief scientist of NRE. 

"Congratulation Elena"

"Congrat Elle" 

"You deserved it!"

"Our new boss"

A lot of praise and applause came from her colleagues. She was flustered by an unexpected announcement. Other colleagues heard the loud praise and applause from her table then began to gather around and congratulate her. At the end she spent the rest of her lunchtime receiving a lot of compliments and congratulations from colleagues.

After that she went straight to Pierre's office on the fourth floor. The only figure that absence. After a knock door slid open, Pierre remained sitting behind his desktop typing on keyboard. 

"You promoted me?"

Without greeting or introduction, Elena went straight to the topic. Pierre replied while typing on keyboard, 

"The president not me" 

"You proposed my name" Elena walked to his desk, handed on the desk. 

"From your achievement, chief scientist might not be enough" without further words, Elena leaned close and kissed him. Pierre stopped from the keyboard and wrapped around Elena. 

"Thank you, Pete. I am very happy" a sweet voice. "Now you will have to reject any other offer." A steady command from Pierre that fulfills Elena's mind. 

"Unless they offer me a director on the mainland" A teasing voice from Elena aiming to shake Pierre's mind. But Pierre turned his face to the screen and continued working. 

"Ach so, then i will have to let you go" 

Elena, disappointed, pumped her cheeks like a child. But she saw his smirk. 

Elena turning her back about to go, an unexpected phrase came when the sound of keyboard typing stopped, 

"Congratulations Elena."

A short but meaningful phrase that she'd heard several times since the afternoon but this time from a man who always supported her. Elena's mind had been filled. The typing sound resumed as Elena walked out of the room. 

After came back from Pierre's office, Elena spent time in her office, signing a new contract, replying to some mails and rejecting offers. That took her whole afternoon until the evening. She looked at the time, it was 5.30PM her stomach had a thin groan. Time to go and dinner. Pierre did not reply to her message to go back together. Perhaps he's gonna slept over. Everytime he started his project, his focus remained unshakable, or at least to some extent. Elena glimpses when she succeeds to distract his focus. Let him be this time - Elena murmured. She then began packing her things, headed back to her Pierre's house. 

It was after the impromptu night when Pierre let the four maids stay in his house. She began to stay over at Pierre house more. At first it was jealousy that other girls would be close to him. But now, after getting closer to them, though only a few weeks, they become more like family. Angela and Sharon were like her sister in that she guided her on many things. While the other two Lea and Elizabeth, both of them were adults and held a degree in medicine and pharmacy. The three often share their knowledge or discuss science stuff together. Elizabeth was the oldest but more like her older sister. 

When Pierre told her and the other yesterday that he must hand the four to the official as they were originally prisoners and could not be allowed to live on Granitz freely. Elena was very angry and against the order. Asking Pierre to hold the order and find a solution together. Pierre did not answer directly but hinted that the four would not stay together. Elena's heart and the other fell. 

To imagine the time that all six of them, Pierre, Elena, Angela, Sharon, Elizabeth, Lea, would have ended. So all of them secretly agreed without Pierre knowing to spend time and had fun together as much as they could. Elena and all of them then decided to live at Pierre's place. The once big house now became small with six people. While the other room only had a single bed. Pierre then bought another bed-sofa and fit it in his bedroom. So now all six could fit in Pierre's bedroom. 

Private routines were a big problem at first but now they arrange it between Elena and Pierre place as the two places were not far apart with only a few minutes walk. Or sometimes six of them entered at the time.

While thinking about the exotic life, Elena reached the house.
