Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Deepblue I
In a luxuriously decorated room at the top of the Deepblue, Sharon laid on her divan. She held the report on her new apprentice, while in the other she ate fruit from a bowl on a table near her. All while her Grand Mages sat in front of her on lower seat waiting for her to speak. In truth she did not need to read the report, she had been there when the test had been done hidden form sight, she knew the details of the repot better than anyone. But it never helped to review information, no matter how cumbersome it was for her.
"How did that Fatty get such a good son?" she said out loud when she finished the report, she did not wait for an answer "An almost perfectly balanced body, with high potential in both Mage and Warrior classes and a bloodline even Purer than his father already pure bloodline. Not to even mention the rune he was Born with, I have never seen anything like it. When was the last time someone was born with a natural rune?" she asked the mages in front of her.
"It has been well over three hundred years since a someone was recorded to be born with a natural rune, your Excellency." one of the old mages, whose name she didn't recall, spoke up.
"Wow, that's before I was even born!" she shouted, glee filling in her eyes as she thought about the coi- potential this student had. Not much was known about natural runes, but the one thing everyone knew was that they were special and powerful. Even her own natural rune, incomplete as it was, was one of the reason's she had advanced so fast.
"Have the boy sent to the designated mage classes. Make sure to provide him the best of the best, his father is footing the bill plus some extra. We don't want our prince to struggle." she said with a greedy smile that did not fit her face.
The meeting was soon dismissed and the mages made their way out, she paid them no mind. She was to happy to worry about them. The Emperor had offered her a significant sum of money, more than she had thought the stingy fatty would ever be willing to spend on anything but food.
"Ahh, what a good day." she sighed contentedly before she sat up with a devilish smile "Lets celebrate by raiding some dragon nests!" she cheered. And like that a portal opened up in front of her and she dashed through it, leaving the realm of Norland with an ease that would shock any who saw it.

Nassir woke up in an unfamiliar environment to the sound of knocking on a nearby door. He was in a fairly small room, it was lavishly decorated but it was not large enough for someone like him to live in. He jumped out of the bed, only to instantly fall over. His vision blurred as his True Sight activated and he felt like he couldn't control his limbs properly. Information burned its way into his mind and he learned of why his body was so out of equilibrium. Both his bloodline and rune had reached a second stage.
His True sight had reached the second level of the ability granting him even more detailed and precise information about everything around him. The rune had also unlocked two of the passive abilities it had, causing his body to undergo a drastic changes. He also learned that the rune had a total of four passive abilities and five active abilities from this now, he now had two of each. Along with his rune his bloodline had also reached it first stage.
The two passive abilities he unlocked were named Body of the Titans and another called Eyes above. The first ensured that his body was always in perfect shape and always improving. From not on the rune would be constantly tweaking his body to improve its function and power. The second ability worked in tandem with his True Sight and would allow him to see the possible effects, consequences, and chances of success, of any potential creation he made in a profession whether it be alchemy or runes. He still needed to have some baseline knowledge but the rune would do a lot of the work, but he would still have to figure out how to make it himself.
His bloodline awakening had also increased his physical body significantly- he had grown almost three inches in one night- but its effects were more severe on his magic. His capacity for mana had almost tripled and his natural ability to control it was also improved. It also increased his connection to the space element, bringing it to the level of his ice affinity- though he was still to low level to make use of it now.
He felt his chest and he could feel three rhythmic patterns in his chest and he couldn't help but smile at it. He had been born with two hearts, an already crazy feat, but now he had a third one before he even stepped into his first level. Many legends did not even have three hearts. While that was certainly shocking it was not the most amazing thing that came from the stage, that was claimed by his new ability to switch from internal energy to mana with only a thought.
This was revolutionary. It made his path so much easier now, he had thought he was going to have to wait until he could find someone who could make the mana armament rune. That was no longer necessary as now all he had to due was think about switching and it would happen. It was possible because his new heart was able to change the type of energy that came through from one to the next with his intent.
As happy as he was he did have a rueful smile on his face. He had gained a lot from his bloodline from entering stage one of it, but their were only three stages of any of the Lightening Destroyer bloodlines. Usually it took one entering Level 10 to unlock the first stage and stage 2 was always after they had reached the legend rank never earlier. Someone unlocking the third stage was pure luck. He had reached his first stage very early, which in some ways was a curse as much as it was a blessing.
Having that boost in the 10's levels was a significant improvement to ones power and overall talent. Causing them both a boost in physical and magical strength that would see them rapidly rise through the levels. While he was sure it was a good sign he got it now, he didn't really know. He had never seen anything mentioned about it when he read up on his branch of the bloodline. Only time would tell.
