Creating A Succubus Army In A Fantasy World!

Chapter 210: This is Quite Difficult!

For a moment that seemed to stretch on forever, Creed stared up at the massive Greater Beast Lord towering above him like a living mountain of teeth, claws, and barely contained violence.

The creature's burning eyes fixed on him with the kind of predatory focus that usually meant someone was about to become lunch, and its enormous mouth opened to reveal rows of teeth that glowed like hot coals in a forge.

Most people in this situation would have been paralyzed with terror, their minds shutting down in the face of such overwhelming danger.

But Creed wasn't most people.

He was a hope candidate! He was also the fiancé to a yandere villainess that could definitely one shot this beast!

That had to count somehow, right?!

Instead of fear, he felt something entirely different surging through his body; a wild, electric excitement that made his heart race and his blood sing with anticipation.

This was exactly the kind of challenge he had been hoping for when he entered the VR pod!

Here was a genuine test of his abilities, a chance to see what he could really do when faced with a life-or-death situation against an opponent that was clearly designed to push him to his absolute limits.

Without hesitation, Creed reached for his storage ring and drew his weapon from the magical storage space where it waited for moments exactly like this.

The pale white spear called Pale Horizon materialized in his hands with a soft whisper of displaced air, its crystalline surface immediately beginning to glow with an inner light that seemed to respond to his fighting spirit.

The weapon felt perfectly balanced and familiar in his grip, like an extension of his own body rather than a separate tool.

As soon as the spear appeared, Creed felt his paths responding to the impending battle with enthusiastic eagerness.

Rumble!

The Path of Killing and the Path of Freedom, the two attack based paths of his magical development, flared to life simultaneously and began pouring their power through his body in waves of overwhelming energy.

The sensation was incredible. It was like liquid lightning flowing through his veins and setting every nerve ending on fire with pure, concentrated power.

Obviously, the effects of his recent energy knitting was already beginning to show.

Although not by much, his three paths had definitely increased in depth and comprehension!

The Path of Killing manifested as a dense red aura that surrounded his entire body like a cloak made of condensed violence and predatory intent.

The aura pulsed and shifted with his heartbeat, growing brighter and more intense as his excitement built.

But it wasn't just red, flashes of multicolored light danced through the crimson energy like captured rainbows, creating a display that was both beautiful and absolutely terrifying to witness.

The Path of Freedom had added its own contribution to the spectacular light show, manifesting and intertwining with the red aura in complex patterns that seemed to defy the laws of physics.

Where the two paths combined, the air itself seemed to shimmer and bend, creating visual distortions that made Creed look like he was standing in the middle of a controlled magical explosion.

The Greater Beast Lord seemed to recognize the change in its intended prey, and its roar shifted from simple aggression to something that sounded almost like respect for a worthy opponent.

The creature's massive head tilted slightly as it studied Creed with those burning eyes, clearly reassessing the situation now that this small human was radiating magical power that could casually level a building.

Creed crouched low, his spear held ready for attack, every muscle in his body coiled like a spring preparing to launch him forward into glorious battle.

His mind was already working through potential strategies; where to aim for maximum damage, how to use his speed and agility against the creature's massive size, which of his techniques would be most effective against that armored hide.

This was going to be an absolutely incredible fight!

He was just about to launch himself forward in a devastating attack that would have made his instructors proud, when he felt something that made him pause with sudden concern.

The ground beneath his feet was vibrating again, but this time the tremors weren't coming from just one source.

Instead, he could feel multiple rhythmic impacts, as if several more enormous creatures were approaching his location from different directions.

Creed's excitement faltered slightly as he processed this new information. One Greater Beast Lord was an exciting challenge.

Two would be significantly more difficult but still manageable with the right strategy. But if there were more than that…

The vibrations grew stronger and more numerous, and Creed's enhanced senses began picking up the sounds of approaching footsteps that definitely belonged to creatures of enormous size and weight.

His mind, which had been focused entirely on combat tactics, suddenly shifted into threat assessment mode as he realized that this situation might be more complicated than he had initially thought.

"Wait a minute," he muttered to himself, his voice barely audible over the approaching rumble of massive footsteps. "Did this guy actually call for backup? That seems like cheating!"

The absurdity of the situation struck him as genuinely funny, even in the middle of what was clearly becoming a life-threatening crisis.

Here he was, standing on an alien planet in a virtual reality simulation, facing down a creature the size of a house, and his biggest concern was whether or not it was playing fair by calling for reinforcements!

But as more and more tremors reached his position, Creed's amusement began to give way to genuine strategic concern.

The vibrations weren't coming from just two or three sources, they were coming from dozens of different directions, creating a complex pattern of underground impacts that suggested he was about to be surrounded by an entire pack of Greater Beast Lords.

"Seriously?" he said aloud, his voice taking on a tone of incredulous disbelief. "How many of these things live in one place? Is this like their neighborhood gathering spot or something? Did I accidentally crash their weekly book club meeting?"

The first Greater Beast Lord, apparently tired of waiting for the entertainment to begin, took a massive step forward and opened its mouth to release another earth-shaking roar.

But before the sound even finished echoing across the barren landscape, the ground around Creed began erupting in multiple locations as more creatures burst through the surface with explosive force.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Within seconds, he was surrounded by not one, not two, but five enormous Greater Beast Lords, each one as massive and terrifying as the first!

They formed a rough circle around his position, their burning eyes all focused on him with the kind of hungry attention that suggested they were already planning how to divide up their meal.

Creed looked around at the creatures surrounding him and felt his strategic instincts kicking into high gear.

Five Greater Beast Lords was definitely beyond his current capabilities, especially in an environment where he couldn't fully rely on his summoned companions for support.

Even with his magical paths at full power and his combat skills at their peak, the simple mathematics of the situation were not in his favor.

"Okay," he said to himself, his tone becoming more serious as he processed the tactical reality of his situation. "This has officially moved from 'exciting challenge' to 'potentially fatal mistake.' Time for a tactical retreat!"

Even as he made this decision, more vibrations reached his position, and more creatures began bursting through the ground at increasing distances from his location.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

What had started as a circle of five Greater Beast Lords was rapidly expanding into what looked like it might become an entire army of the creatures, all of them apparently very interested in getting to know him better.

"And by tactical retreat," Creed continued, his voice taking on a slightly higher pitch as the full scope of the situation became clear, "I mean running away very fast while looking as heroic as possible!"

Without further delay, he spun around to face the gap between two of the creatures that offered the best escape route, and activated his most useful and powerful escape ability.

Rumble!

The Path of Freedom responded to his need with immediate enthusiasm, manifesting as a pair of translucent wings that spread from his shoulders like captured starlight.

They had changed slightly over the past few weeks and now looked like actually wings when he activated them although barely.

Bang!

With a powerful leap that was enhanced by his superior physique, Creed launched himself into the air and over the heads of the surprised Greater Beast Lords, who clearly hadn't expected their prey to suddenly develop the ability to fly.

And at such insane speeds at that!

He landed running at full speed, his enhanced agility allowing him to maintain his balance even on the uneven, rocky terrain of the alien planet.

Behind him, the pack of Greater Beast Lords let out a collective roar of frustration and began giving chase with the kind of single-minded determination that suggested they really didn't appreciate having their dinner run away from them.

The sound of their massive bodies created a thunderous rhythm that seemed to shake the entire planet, and Creed could feel the vibrations through the soles of his feet even as he ran.

'Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!'

Creed was beginning to understand why the other classmates looked so pale when they heard the G-hall.

This was quite difficult!
