Creating Game In Naruto World

Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Naruto, Start!

"Haha! Naruto, I've finished it!"

A scruffy-looking young man was holding up a phone and laughing.

As an unknown planner in the Motou Village, Kazami Yuto had a rather frustrating past life. (T/N: Motou Village is Chinese's Naruto Mobile Game, and the MC name is Chen Yan, but I changed it to Kazami Yuto to make it more immersive. After all, it's strange to have Chinese name in Naruto World.)

He called himself a combat planner, but he had never actually created his own Ninja. He had always been assisting the official planners, so in truth, he was more of a half-baked story planner.

In the end, he accidentally died from overworking while staying up late to finish a storyline.

After cursing the game company countless times, Yuto began to think about how to survive in this unpredictable and dangerous Ninja World.

That's when he discovered he had a system with him. However, this system wasn't a beautiful, sweet-voiced girl, nor was it some advanced AI technology. It was just a rudimentary interface.

Yuto still remembered the first time he saw the system interface...

[Money: 230 Ryo]

[Resource quota: 0\/10 (1 resource quota will be automatically increased for every 100 Ryo obtained)]

[Lottery: You can draw once for every 10,000 Ryo you spend]

Just as Yuto was wondering what the resource quota was for, a message popped up: [Since this is your first time activating the interface, you are gifted 10,000 free resource quota.]

Then, Yuto saw his available resource quota change to 10,010.

After some exploration, Yuto realized just how powerful his system was. Although it couldn't help him dominate the Ninja World, it wasn't entirely useless either...

Well, his system was essentially an editor that allowed him to create many things, such as movies, anime, games and so on.

However, each use consumed a certain amount of resource quota, and the initial 10,000 resource quota was his starting capital.

This resource quota could only be replenished by earning money. For every 100 Ryo earned, he would gain 1 point of resource quota.

Yuto wasn't very familiar with anime or movies, but after understanding the concept of 'resource quota,' he realized that creating even a few minutes of footage would likely deplete his entire 10,000 resource quota.

Therefore, Yuto first thought of his old profession… making games.

As for what game to make, there was no need to think twice. Since he was in the world of Naruto, why not create a Naruto mobile game?

However, Yuto initially dismissed this idea because he was afraid that the 'players' in this world would send him death threats… or worse, show up at his door for his death.

Just as he was considering his safety, he noticed a small line of text on the interface: [While you are inside the shop, you are invincible and cannot be harmed in any way.]

Only then did Yuto look up and glance at the environment inside the store.

Although it was shabby, it was very clean, and most importantly, spacious.

Perhaps because real estate in the Ninja World wasn't expensive, Yuto's shop had over 200 square meters on the first floor alone, with two floors in total!

Yuto's first thought was: 'This is perfect for an internet cafe setup… computers on the first floor and private rooms on the second...'

He thought of a very critical problem: there seemed to be no electronic equipment in the ninja world at that time!

But then he realized a crucial problem: The Ninja World at this time didn't seem to have much in the way of electronic devices!

Although Yuto vaguely remembered Kakashi using a laptop during his time as Hokage, the exact technological level of the Naruto world was never clearly defined by Masashi Kishimoto.

'So, did that mean...'

Just as Yuto thought his plan was doomed, he discovered that the system had gifted him 100 smartphones!

Although it was a pity that there were no computers, this at least solved one of his concerns.

Besides, with only 10,000 resource quota, he couldn't have made a computer game anyway.

---

After three months of relentless work, Yuto finally reached the moment from the beginning of the story.

As a small shop located on the outskirts of Konoha, there wasn't much foot traffic, and even on weekends, it was relatively quiet.

For the past three months, Yuto had been eating at nearby food stalls every day.

During these days of exploration, Yuto also got a rough idea of the world's pricing. Converting it to the currency of his previous life, 1 Ryo was roughly equivalent to half the purchasing power of Japan's Yen.

---

It wasn't until the shop had been open for a while that Yuto finally heard some movement at the door.

'A tuft of white hair???'

But after getting a clear look at the visitor's appearance, Yuto's heart stirred slightly. For a commoner like him, this was a big deal...

"Yo, good morning, Kakashi."

Kakashi was slightly taken aback but responded with a smile, "Morning."

Logically, the two had never met before, so Yuto's straightforward greeting was a bit impolite...

However, seeing the rows of smartphones laid out, Kakashi asked curiously, "Is this a ninja tool shop?"

Over the past few days, Yuto had filled the empty spaces in the shop with phones.

A hundred phones weren't too many, but they were enough to cover three long tables.

Yuto hesitated for a moment, 'Phones... could probably be considered ninja tools, right?'

"Yeah, scientific ninja tools. Want to give them a try?"

Kakashi nodded. This was something he hadn't seen before, so he figured he might as well try it out.

As an ANBU, he should have been training or on missions.

But recently, under the Third Hokage's orders, he was assigned to lead a new team of graduating students.

So these days, he had some free time.

Kakashi's usual pastime was reading Icha Icha Paradise, but since Jiraiya hadn't released a new book in a while, he had been wandering around the village to kill time.

When he suddenly noticed this new shop, curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to check it out.

Yuto casually powered on one of the phones. He had installed the Naruto Mobile Game he made on all one hundred phones.

After starting the game, it skipped the tedious manufacturer logos and went straight to the loading screen.

"This is?"

Kakashi looked curiously at the flat little device Yuto handed him.

Seeing the moving images on the screen, he was genuinely surprised.

[Welcome, Player 00001. Please register your fingerprint]

Kakashi could understand the text, 'But what did 'Player 00001' mean?'

'Register a fingerprint? Why?'

Noticing Kakashi's confusion, Yuto explained, "You're the first user of our shop, also known as a 'player.' The fingerprint is your identity credential. Each person can only have one account, and you'll need to verify your fingerprint every time you log in."

Since this world didn't have things like QQ, WeChat, or phone numbers, this was the best method Yuto could think of.

Kakashi was surprised again. After a moment of thought, he decided to register his fingerprint.

Mainly because he had sensed Yuto's Chakra activity earlier and found that it seemed to be at the level of an ordinary person.

Plus, the shop was located in Konoha, so the likelihood of it being a trap was low.

He remained slightly cautious but turned his attention to the screen.

[Fingerprint successfully registered. Please enter your nickname]

'Nickname?'

Yuto was peeking over Kakashi's shoulder, as this was his first customer… and a big one at that!

After all, Kakashi is rich, so he might actually buy a phone!

"It's your name, but it doesn't have to be your real name. Think of it more like a 'code name.' The limit is six characters, but you can change it later if you want." (T/N: Six Chinese characters, not six letters.)

Yuto explained. He had indeed set up a name-changing feature, though he didn't mention that the name-change card would cost money.

Kakashi nodded in understanding, though he wondered why this thing required a code name. It seemed unnecessarily complicated.

However, Kakashi took his time deciding on the 'code name,' and even Yuto, who was waiting beside him, started to get impatient.

Finally, Kakashi settled on a name.

[White Fang]
