Chapter 343: Makes Sense
The second Marshal, Luther, bolted inside the hut.
Pablo jumped to the side and Luther held her wife with both his hands.
"Julia. Julia. Julia!"
He called her wife's name but she was already dead.
Pablo acted like he didn't know it so he shifted his head at Fozier.
"This woman is his wife?"
"Yes." Fozier answered.
"Yeah. I remember now too." Harlia chimed in too.
The other soldiers standing outside the hut said nothing but whispers were already raging.
The wife of the second Marshal is found naked along with two naked Abyssal Butchers. What was she doing? How did she get here? There were many questions?
And only one man could answer them.
"What do you say, Pablo?" Harlia asked.
Luther kept crying.
Pablo looked at Harlia.
"It is all in front of us, Admiral. The woman was the killer. And she was having an affair with these soldiers and probably all those soldiers who were killed. Whitey, Jeffery and Dilinger."
"Bullshit!" Luther roared. "My Julia can never be the killer."
"So you accept the affair part?" Pablo asked.
"No, you bastard! She loved me. She loved me to death. She would never cheat on me."
"Open your eyes, old man. Your wife is found naked here. These two soldiers as well. What were they doing here naked? And she is covered in blood. She has a smile on her face. And look at the spot near her hand. If you know how to read, then read it aloud."
Pablo stated some facts and Luther looked at the floor.
He read what was written on the floor and he read it loud enough for everyone to hear it.
"End Of Revenge."
"Yes. End of revenge. She has killed the soldiers. And these two were the last of her targets."
Luther went silent.
Murmurs spread around the area as everyone was shocked.
"But why would she kill them? Someone must be framing her. Someone must be using her to hide the real killer!" Luther retorted.
"I don't think that's possible." Fozier spoke this time.
Everyone looked at him.
"I mean, everyone really forgot about this farmhouse. Only someone who has something wrong to do would find such a place, and here we are, with your wife and a knife in her hand."
"I don't believe it. Why would she kill? And she will never cheat on me."
"Then she must be forced to do something. The soldiers must have forced her in some way to rape her and after that, she became hungry for revenge." Pablo said.
Harlia clenched her fists.
"Yes. That must be it. Men can never keep it in their pants. Bloody perverts."
Pablo frowned. 'Does she have some bad memories with men?'
"Anyway, I think the case is solved. Dilinger, Whitey, Jeffrey, Kony and Boris. They must have raped your wife and after that, she vowed to kill them. After she finished killing, she was finally satisfied. That's why she died with a smile and left a message."
"But how did she die? If she killed Boris and Kony then who the hell killed her?" Luther presented a question.
Pablo looked around.
"I believe we will find our answer in this hut as well. We have to search."
Fozier nodded and searched.
Harlia did the same.
The hut was already small as it only had a bed inside.
Pablo had made one more preparation after killing these three and he would certainly not be the one to find it.
Fozier went near the bed and he looked under it.
"I found something." He shouted.
Harlia and Pablo stopped their search. Pablo was acting anyway.
"What is it?" Pablo asked.
Fozier shoved his hand under the bed and after a second, brought it out.
"I found this. A bottle and some pills lying around."
Pablo came closer and took the bottle.
"It has no prescription on it. Show me the pills."
Fozier gave the pills to Pablo and Pablo sniffed them.
"This is.."
"What?" Luther asked.
Pablo looked at Fozier.
"This is drugs."
"What are drugs doing here?" Harlia asked.
"I think that's how this woman died. She killed herself by overdose of drugs. You might find drugs inside her body if there is any way to know about it." Pablo suggested.
He had gotten these drugs when the Vampire Woman was held captive by the King at the cell of the castle.
The drugs weren't used that day but they came in handy now.
"She never did drugs? How could she get these drugs from? And if she is the killer, then how did she kill Dilinger? His body was found in the General's mansion and the mansion was burnt wasn't it? Are you saying she did all that?" Luther asked rapid questions. He asked everything he wanted.
"What was her Ego?" Pablo asked.
"She could teleport."
"Then there you have it. She teleported to the mansion at night, killed the General and Dilinger, used boiling oil because she wanted to give the soldier pain and then she teleported back to her house. Then when the first marshal came to check, she panicked and when she got the chance, she burned the entire mansion down." Pablo explained.
"But she didn't have that much strength to kill two men!" Luther barked.
"She was a woman, marshal. She knew full well how to use her charms."
Luther clenched his jaw. "What about drugs? How did she find it then?"
"She is the wife of the second Marshal of the Abyssal Butchers division. Surely, getting drugs is not a problem for her."
Harlia and Fozier both nodded.
The soldiers standing outside nodded as well.
Pablo was making sense.
"I can't believe it. My wife couldn't be the killer. She never told me anything about revenge. She was never in pain."
"She was hiding it well, then. She wanted to kill her wrongdoers with her own hand. She died happily, marshal. Let her go." Pablo talked nicely. He developed compassion in his voice.
"But.. but.." Luther shook his head, her wife's head was on his lap. But then, he instantly jerked his head at the soldiers standing outside the hut.
"My son! Look at your mother." He called for his son.
He stood up and looked outside the hut.
"John! John!"
Luther called for his son.
Of course, his son won't answer. He died long ago.
Pablo's soldiers said nothing when Luther called for his son but there was one man.
"He ran away just after seeing the scene inside, Marshal." One soldier said.
Pablo knew that voice.
Only one man would be able to say something like that.
Draxus Maverick.
'He knows what to say and when.'
"You found a good one. He can become the next you." Cupid commented.
'Nah. He is still too green for that.'
"Get over yourself."
Pablo didn't reply and Cupid also went silent.
Luther heard Draxus and meekly nodded his head.
"Of course he ran away. How can he watch his own mother like that."
Luther gave himself an explanation and came back inside the hut.
"Admiral, my wife may be the killer. I am ashamed of being her husband and not knowing her pain. Let me take her body with me."
'He doesn't know what his wife was actually doing.'
Pablo felt a little bad for Luther but when he remembered that he had sent his son to harass Pablo, he stopped feeling pity.
"Yes. You may take her body. And where is Ted? Call him here!" Harlia ordered.
"Here, Admiral." Ted arrived and saluted.
"What do you think now?" She asked.
"I have no idea right now, Admiral. Maybe someone framed her or may she was really raped by the five dead soldiers."
Ted spoke and his eyes fell on Pablo.
He stared at Pablo and as he registered his own previous words, his brows twitched.
Then he raised them but only for a split second.
But his eyes never left Pablo and now it looked like his eyes found a new light.
"Yeah. She was probably raped by the five soldiers. Yeah. The soldiers who died must have raped her. Dilinger, Whitey, Jeffery, Kony must have raped her. She wanted revenge. Yes. It makes sense now. Everything makes sense now."
"Alright then. The case is closed. The Killer has been captured. Fozier, clear all this. I am going." Harlia left the hut.
Ted also went outside.
Now only Luther, Pablo and Fozier were inside.
"Well, the case is solved." Fozier said.
Pablo nodded. "You may take your wife's body now, second Marshal."
Luther paid no attention to mock Pablo and quietly took the dead body of her wife in his arms.
After that, he also left the hut and walked towards who knows where.
"You can now send the soldiers away, Marshal." Pablo said.
Fozier nodded. "Get lost, all of you."
The soldiers saluted and the crowd outside the hut began withering away.
Ted was standing at the front of the crowd and before going, he gave one last intense look to Pablo.
Ted's eyes didn't escape Pablo's eyes and the look Ted was giving him, Pablo was familiar with it all too well.
'I see. What a pain.'
He just shook his head.
"What?" Cupid asked.
Pablo sighed.
'He knows.'
