As news of what had taken place spread to the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators stationed at the borders to fight off the demonic cultivators trying to breach their borders, a loud yell filled with disbelief echoed through one of the camps, as one of these Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators had been informed personally about what had happened.

Shivering in fear upon seeing his superior glaring at him filled with a terrifying killing intent, the little soldier could only bite his lips before continuing, "I… I don't know, there was no sign of this demonic cultivator entering through our borders, so she might have been lying in wait for a long time inside our borders. Potentially even before the demonic cultivators launched their first attacks…"

Even as he finished saying everything, he wanted along with his own interpretation of how the demonic cultivator might have already been hiding inside the borders of the Blue Sea Empire before the war even began, he still couldn't stop shivering in fear as his eyes focused on the ground and his head almost lowered so much that he fell forward.

Although he understood that the killing intent from the person in front of him wasn't directed towards him but instead towards the demonic cultivator who had destroyed their resource depot, part of him still feared that the person in front of him might lash out and kill him in the heat of the moment, something that had happened before to one of his juniors in the Domain Lord Realm.

Luckily, the person in front of him seemed to have somewhat calmed down after hearing what he said, as he focused his attention on what he had just told him regarding the demonic cultivator having potentially hidden away inside their empire before the start of the war. Even more so given that they were now personally feeling the pain of losing a resource depot. After all, while the resources there could be replaced and resupplied with enough time, they were currently lacking time and the lack of resources that they would now be facing would result in the demonic cultivators gaining an advantage in their offensive.

Though it wasn't to the point where they would end up threatening the borders of the Blue Sea Empire, they would at least be able to take down another smaller empire or kingdom under the Blue Sea Empire. Moving closer to the true borders of the Blue Sea Empire and worsening the overall view of the Blue Sea Empire, as it would be losing out ground faster than surrounding major powers.

Of course, that was only for now as the other major powers might suffer a similar fate as them in the near future.

However, the damage would ultimately be far less, as they would at the very least be prepared to some extent. Not caught completely off guard like the Blue Sea Empire had been.

"This is truly troublesome and might require us to use more of our resources to ensure that the demonic cultivators can't cause any more problems from behind, but… At the very least, the strength of the demonic cultivators who snuck past our borders shouldn't have exceeded the Demon Lord Realm.

As the subordinate quietly listened to his superior talking to himself while keeping his head lowered without daring to say anything. Ready to strike at any moment to destroy their now rather fragile backline. It didn't take long before the news spread to surrounding major powers, causing them to start preparing in case there were demonic cultivators hidden inside their territory as well.

In the end, it caused the overall resistance of the demonic cultivators from the Frozen Wasteland and other demonic territories across the continent to advance far beyond what the demonic cultivators had expected in the next few weeks, before once again entering a standstill as the different major powers adapted and made sure there wasn't any gaps in their logistic chain that the demonic cultivators potentially hidden inside their territories could take advantage of.

But most importantly, it resulted in the different major powers mobilizing some of their hidden resources and forces, causing the already tense situation of the continent to become increasingly intense, with the sole exception being the Eastern Central Region, that was still embroiled in its own internal fight and didn't care much about the smaller kingdoms and empires outside the Eastern Central Region.
