"Get out of here, and tell your boss I'll visit your hideout in the next couple of days. I won't be satisfied with just a few of you!"

At this moment, Alex Carter's body and hands were already covered in blood.

Around him lay seven or eight thugs from the Scavs, sprawled all over the ground.

The only one left standing was a skinny man in front of him, who looked terrified and had wet his pants.

"Who... who are you?"

Alex grinned: "Want to know who I am? Let your boss ask me personally, hahahaha."

With a burst of laughter, Alex's figure suddenly vanished, leaving only a gust of wind that lifted the surrounding debris.

Meanwhile, hundreds of meters away...

"Puff, puff... gulp."

Alex rolled more than 20 meters clumsily before coming to a halt, disoriented.

"Ah... it's tough to maintain that kind of bravado."

Alex grinned as he got up from the ground.

Johnny, watching, looked at Alex with amusement: "Why trouble yourself with this?"

"You'll understand when the time comes," Alex said, dusting himself off. "I like solving all problems at once."

"If you don't uproot them all, these guys are like weeds. It's too troublesome to keep pulling them out."

Hearing Alex's words, Johnny's brows furrowed even deeper.

He said seriously, "Judging by what those guys told you, there are quite a few members in the Scavs."

"But even if you gather them all..."

"Your biological enhancements are strong, but hundreds of them could still turn you into Swiss cheese."

Alex smiled dismissively.

"Who said I was going to confront them directly? Only a fool would charge in when outnumbered."

Three imaginary sweat lines appeared on Johnny's forehead.

Listening to Alex, it felt as though he was mocking him.

"So what's your plan now?"

Alex smiled: "I'm heading to the Twilight Market to pick up some contraband."

...

As dawn broke, Alex, who had been busy all night, returned to V's apartment.

At this time, V still lay in bed, exactly as she'd been the night before, sleeping soundly.

After a quick shower, Alex stood in front of the window wrapped in a towel, admiring the view of Night City below.

That night, he had wandered near the Arasaka Tower.

The surrounding environment had altered his impression of Night City.

Garbage was everywhere.

The air carried a foul stench.

Unwashed homeless beggars, brash gangs, inhuman scavengers...

He had encountered these things while playing the game.

But now, with the game turned reality, experiencing such an environment firsthand...

He suddenly understood.

Why Johnny and all the rebels hated this glamorous Night City so much.

It wasn't just the oppression from the upper classes.

There was also the apathy of those at the bottom.

"Look, even if you blow up the Arasaka Tower, you won't wake those who choose to remain in the mud."

Johnny stood next to Alex and asked helplessly, "What would you do if you were me?"

Alex smiled slightly: "I'd blow up this rotten system."

"This is the root cause that keeps producing 'Arasakas.'"

"..."

Seeing the seriousness on Alex's face, Johnny fell silent.

He suddenly realized.

Alex, this host of his... was even more extreme than himself!

At most, Johnny wanted to blow up the Arasaka Tower, but Alex actually wanted to overthrow the entire system that was the foundation of Night City!

Such a thing, on a large scale, was a revolution!

"You're a lunatic," Johnny muttered.

"Who knows, maybe I am." Alex shrugged, sat back on the sofa, and flipped through the TV channels...

...

By mid-morning, V was still sleeping soundly.

Alex left a note and exited the apartment.

Rogue had just called him.

She mentioned that there was news regarding Hellman and asked him to meet at the Afterlife...

"The chip's for you, it's intel you'll find interesting."

Alex took the chip Rogue handed him and inserted it into his neural port.

As the data loaded, a red interface appeared before him.

Simultaneously, Rogue explained: "Hellman isn't on Kang Tao's official roster."

"But as you said, his name did appear in Qiantai's confidential documents."

"It took a lot of effort to get this information. I really don't know how you found out."

Alex chuckled quietly.

He wouldn't reveal that he knew it from the game's plot.

Soon, a complex roadmap emerged in front of Alex.

"This is the decrypted map of Kang Tao's next escort route," Rogue explained.

Alex nodded in satisfaction.

This was what he needed.

After quickly scanning the information of each team, Alex locked onto a line.

"This should be it, a single AV, no ground support, and no related manifest."

"With a lot of security on the passenger list and VIP status, Hellman should be in this vehicle."

Listening to Alex's analysis, Rogue, who had been about to explain, swallowed her words.

She had spent a long time analyzing this information before determining Hellman's location.

And Alex, with just a glance...

As expected of the man who took down Adam Smasher, he truly had something special.

Satisfied with the intel, Alex looked at Rogue with a smile.

"Alright, I need some personal help now. To avoid alarming the armed guard and Kang Tao, I'm planning to act on the Jackson Plains."

"Introduce me to a helper."

"Someone like... Panam Palmer?"

...

Watching Alex's retreating figure, Rogue felt a mix of emotions.

As the Queen of the Afterlife, every major mercenary job needed her approval.

When was the last time she didn't have the upper hand?

Until yesterday, when she met this mysterious man from the East named Alex Carter.

He had led her by the nose from start to finish.

Making her feel like a mere tool.

"Damn, how is this kid so in sync with that guy Johnny?"
