Chapter 9: Back to Being Upbeat
Tylia had another dream about Theo that night. He appeared to enjoy caressing a small bunny, which he held in his palm. The bunny purred, a sign of relaxation and contentment in cuddling. Tylia stood silently and observed the happy times between them from a distance. Despite that, Theo sensed Tylia's presence behind him before turning around.
"Come, sit here." Theo tapped the seat next to him, and Tylia, starlet, heard him call. She thought he wouldn't notice her, but Tylia was glad to join.
She strolled and approached them. The bunny hopped on and shifted affection to Tylia. Landing, she took the bunny, and it was enjoyed cuddling in Tylia's arm.
"You were soft… and warm too," she chuckled. The joy was etched on her face.
"I named it Cotton. It's my gift for you," he said. Theo's eyes met hers with a soothing stare.
"Thank you," she beamed. This simple gift touched her heart and made it sing. Tylia was overjoyed.
"How did you guess that bunnies are my favourite?"
"I can't say for sure," Theo answered with a warm smile, "But... something about it makes me think of you."
"What do you mean?" Her interest grew, and her eyes focused intently on him.
"It's your smile," he noted, "Your radiant smiles calm my heart. Just like that pure white rabbit does. You're always on my mind when I see one."
For some reason, Theo's words seemed to penetrate Tylia's heart with a sense of love. A loving expression lingered in her eyes.
"Tylia," he voiced softly when she met his gaze.
"Promised me, whoever you end up living with, he must be the one who brings your smile." Tylia nodded slowly as she understood his concern.
"I can't bear to see the smile on your face being torn away. Please take care of yourself."

On February 13, the temperature was relatively mild, with a cloudy sky. That morning, Chris drove Cristina to the airport.
"I'm sorry you must head back to Bay Leaf City alone. I'll be back in two days. Please take care of yourself."
"Chris, I'm fine, really." Cristina smiled at Chris, although her expression suggested a deeper resignation.
At the age of eighteen, her demeanour swung. Sometimes, she was very obedient and sometimes a bit spoiled. This was her tactic to charm Chris and influence him positively.
"Just call me when you get there," Chris reminds her.
Cristina smiled and nodded. Although she was reluctant to enter the boarding area, she turned back to give a cheerful wave. He responded slowly, waving back with a warm smile.
The way she acted led onlookers to wrongly assume that Cristina and Chris were romantically involved. She knew the press was everywhere. With her popularity rising, the media's attention on her relationship with Chris increased.
Chris waited until he could no longer see Cristina, then proceeded to the parking area. That morning, Chris did not visit Tylia. His headache worsened as he thought about what to say so that Tylia would accept Cristina with an open heart. He just went back to the hotel and rested.
That morning, Tylia woke up feeling serene after a delightful dream. Theo's words kept playing in her mind. Her slender fingers extended towards the white crochet rabbit and the herbal fragrance package resting on the table.
"Tylia, you are awake?" Lilian asked her daughter as she entered.
"Good morning, Mom," Tylia responded with a bright smile. Lilian felt relieved when she noticed how well Tylia looked this morning.
Upon entering Tylia's room, Aiden and Matthew were immediately struck by the delightful fragrance.
"What is that wonderful smell?" Matthew inquired.
"Oh, that. It was a potpourri, a gift from Mr. Knight during his visit," Lilian explained.
"Mr. Knight came to see me?" Tylia was surprised and delighted.
"Yes, at that time, you were sleeping. He also mentioned sending his regards to you."
"Oh, that makes sense." She was elated.
"What makes sense?" Aiden chimed in with a puzzled expression.
"Just yesterday, I had a dream where Mr. Knight gifted me a white rabbit named Cotton," Tylia shared.
Her family knew her ability to dream things that resonated with reality. Without knowing what happened in the dream, Aiden casually teased, "Is that everything that happened? There must be something more."
Suddenly, Tylia's cheeks turned bright red, and she replied, "Nothing more!"
Matthew and Lilian looked at each other as if they were thinking the same thing. Tylia was allowed to go back home that morning. Soon, Oliver showed up to gather Tylia's belongings.
Before leaving for home, Tylia visited Elara's. Elara has started to regain consciousness and will be allowed to go home in a few more days. Both Oleander and Adam were in Elara's room.
Since Elara was an orphan with no family to look after her when she was ill, Oleander chose to help out when Logan had to go to work, even though Logan could have paid for a caregiver. They assumed Elara as their own daughter.
"Grandma, is that you? When did you get here?" Tylia immediately hugged her grandmother.
"I arrived the day you fell ill," her grandmother beamed, pleased to see Tylia back on her feet.
"Wait a minute. Have you only noticed Grandma? What about me?" Adam, who was in the corner of the room, pretended to be angry because his granddaughter did not greet him.
"Calm down, Adam. She was recovering; let's not overwhelm her," Oleander gently reminded her husband despite her concerns. Tylia giggled at her grandparents' antics and quickly ran to hug Adam tightly.
"Of course, I miss Grandpa too!"
"Tylia, I'm relieved to see you smile again. When you were sick, I really wanted to come by, but Logan wouldn't let me," Elara said, pouting.
"Your recovery was the priority, and you required more rest than her," Logan replied. He was worried about his fiancée's condition since she had not fully gotten back on her feet yet.
"Yeah, yeah. I know. Anyway, you should probably get going to work now. Isn't the CEO always busy?" She was set on pushing her fiancé away as he seemed overly protective of her activities. Still, Elara couldn't help but feel touched by Logan's sincere worry for her.
The loving couple's antics had everyone laughing. Tomorrow was Valentine and it looks like Logan and Elara are stuck celebrating it in the hospital. Tylia didn't wait long before leaving home with Lilian. As soon as they arrived home, Sara and Geoffrey stood at the main entrance.
