Chapter 33: Chapter 33: False Big ‘G’
"Are you sure we should be giving those clowns these weapons?" Ishtar descended from the main altar, her fingers lightly caressing the small hammer she held. "Are they really worth it?"
"We need financial coverage, Goddess." Miquella stepped closer, his gaze steady. "We can't keep living off Noah's provisions forever. It would draw attention."
"Yes, yes." Ishtar waved a hand dismissively. "But," her gaze dropped to the hammer as she handed it to Elred, her lips curving into a frown, "an uncommon?"
Yeah, I was planning on giving them a common to take care of Black Alice. However, Elred insisted I also give one uncommon item that neither I nor anyone else in our humble familia would need for financial reasons.
I had saved this hammer instead of using it to craft a rare weapon, like I did with many other uncommon weapons, thinking Phryne might need it. But after a daily ten times summon, I got a better hammer, and this one just ended up as decoration in Ishtar's room, waiting to be sacrificed for guild construction or something.
Since Gareth exists in the Loki Familia as one of their top executives, I decided to give them this. It's the best weapon someone like that dwarf could ever get, much better than the Elf's staff, despite being uncommon. Of course, it wouldn't be for free. There will be a monthly installment of its decided price.
Yeah, the Ishtar Familia is 'rich.' I mean, look at this;
[Guild Fund: 6,655,936,858 Valis]
Six billion Valis in the guild fund. All from summoning. However, the Ishtar familia is supposed to be poor, so if I or other's start splurging millions upon millions of Valis, people will ask questions. By establishing a public monthly installment contract with Loki without actually making this price public, we could splurge money without many wondering how we got it.
This is the financial coverage Miquella meant.
This would also help improve Ishtar Familia's public image, as many negative perceptions of our familia would be softened as Loki's endorsement brings some kind of trust.
"And I also need a way to sell all common items below rank 5." I looked on the altar where almost 100 common rank 4 items and below lay scattered around like trash. That pile alone is definitely worth more than a mid-sized familia. "It's not like any of them can be used for forging or construction."
Sadly, no matter how high quality the weapon is, only rank 7 common and above can be 'recycled.' If people see that Loki bought a weapon from me, they will rush to my store to see the items I sell, and I am sure they will all sell quickly.
I added, "That should help us start paying off our debt." Yeah, we had debt to pay to Pleasure Quarter former allies. We are even in debt to an entire kingdom familia known as the 'Hedone Kingdom.' Didn't really care to know the details of the dept, but it's around two-hundred billion.
"Right," Ishtar's amethyst eyes followed mine to the pile of common items scattered on the altar, "We're still in debt." She seemed to have forgotten that fact. She stared at the pile for a few seconds, then shrugged. "I'll take what I need before you sell them."
She then turned to Miquella, looking him up and down. "And why are you all dressed up?"
He now wore a pristine white cassock that fell to the ankles, with a stiff, a high collar that hugged his lean neck closely. The front is fastened with a row of gleaming gold buttons, running from the collar down the center, with the cuffs of the long sleeves having smaller golden buttons.
Draped over the shoulders is a pellegrina, matching the cassock's white fabric, that extends just past his shoulders, falling to the upper back, with its hemline stopping around mid-chest in the front. The cape's edges are embroidered with gold thread, similar to the gold of the cassock and his hair, with a golden circlet around his forehead.
All in all, he looked like a Catholic priest about to preach the word of God, and with a face like that, I am sure that thousands upon thousands will quickly start worshiping him instead of God. Not trying to be blasphemous or anything, but he really is that beautiful.
No homo.
"He will come with me to go look for a suitable store for our commons while I go to Loki." The main reason he wanted to leave was to see how much the city had changed after 23 years of being restricted to the Pleasure Quarter, but he also wanted to find a store, so I didn't lie.
Ishtar nodded, her amethyst eyes moving between the two of us. "You two, be back in no more than two hours," She said as Miquella put on his white, ankle length cloak clipped on the neck with a golden button, "I won't feel comfortable with the two of you gone too long."
"The domain shield is more than enough to keep intruders away," I stood from my air sit that had become second nature at this point. "If that doesn't work, Phryne and the other high piece should be able to take care of them." I then pointed at her pendant, "And you still have that,"
Her hand lightly touched the pendant around her neck, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Yes, but…"
She trailed off, her fingers brushing through her purple hair as she sighed deeply. "You two don't wander too close to Freya's home. As much as I want to…" She paused, "What's that word you use to say 'show off?'"
"Show off?" I replied, earning the goddess glare. That's what I say.
"Flex." Miquella's voice came with the goddess snapping with a smile.
"As much as I want to flex you two to that bitch, I don't want her setting her eyes on you just yet." She frowned, "If she does and comes after you two, there will be nothing we can do."
"I doubt a goddess like her will find me worthwhile." I shrugged, 'standing' from my sitting position. 'The only reason Loki found me interesting was because of what I did to the sword princess.' And I heard that most people in Freya familia were beautiful, so I am already out.
"I have told you, haven't I?" Ishtar's moved to mine, "Her ability that brought her to the top of the city."
'Ah,' Some gods with divinity over 'death' can see 'souls.' Well, if they strain their eyes, they could see a person's 'aura' and it would leave them really exhausted. However, Freya can simply look at anyone's soul like she was looking at their faces, which allowed her to see the 'talent' of adventures. That's how she gathered all the adventures in her Familia and how she got to the top of Babel.
"Heh." It's funny how she has such an OP ability yet Loki is so close behind her with no cheat. A free to play player vs. a pay to win.
"What's so funny?" Ishtar asked and I waved.
"My soul would not be of interest to the goddess." I am, after all, a 'normal' person of this world.
"I beg to differ." Miquella golden eyes scanned me. "You managed to create a magic that turned this world into a game. You are a level one with a fighting capability of a level four. And best of all," His golden eyes met mine, "You are a half spirit."
"Exactly." Ishtar placed her palm on my chest, "You are special, and I don't want anyone knowing that just yet." She paused, "Not until you are strong enough to take on Ottar alone, that is."
"Aww~Thanks." They almost made me blush, "But Miquella's soul is definitely prettier than mine. Probably golden with a ring above it."
"Yes, you too." Ishtar turned to the boy, her small palm still on my chest, "Though a good-looking face doesn't mean your soul would be beautiful, but you are too charming for your soul to be ugly."
She reached out to move a hair from his eyes, "Cover your face and don't draw attention. Even if Freya doesn't find you interesting, Apollo definitely will." Her face contorted in disgust, "And I don't want that thing looking at you."
Apollo!? The best god beside Zeus? He is in this city!?
I want to meet him.
"Ok," Miquella fixed his hair below his cloak and put the hood over his head, masking most of his facial features.
With that, she stepped back, "Remember, don't draw attention." She turned, her hair swaying as she walked. "I don't need eyes on you two just yet."
Ok MOM!
"Let's get this over with."
Yay!
I can finally leave this place!
It is so annoying training those clowns and taking care of Ishtar! I had to give them food. I had to teach Phryne how to handwash clothes because she didn't know how to. Even mopping, she needed help. And those little girls wouldn't leave me alone, especially black Alice!
I don't remember having sex, so why am I taking care of fucking kids!?
That was honestly one of the reasons I decided to take that little girl to Loki. To finally get a break.
"Your thoughts are showing." Miquella's voice came as I quickly used my hand to wipe the grin out of my face. "We should be back by two hours."
"Four hours?" I think that's what I heard.
"Two."
"Six?" Why does bro keep changing the time?
"..." Miquella looked up at me, his golden eyes meeting mine.
"Did oneself do anything wrong?" I asked with a smile, and he simply tossed me the hammer that looked like nothing but a toy, which I caught.
Gideon.
The hammer is made entirely of some bronze-like metal with multiple runic engraving around it. It is double-sided with one side being a typical hammer and the other being a warpick, a round pommel on the other end of the handle, and it weighs about three kilograms in its 'toy' form.
Its first ability is a mode change, where it transforms into its 'battle form,' gaining a length of 1.6 meters and a weight of 150 kg. Despite its new size, it remains a one-handed hammer for both Phryne and I, though the dwarf would most likely need two hands to wield it since it's longer than he is tall.
After switching forms, there's a ten-minute cooldown before it can change again, with the second and third abilities unlocking when in battle mode. The second is called 'magic rod,' an active ability that lasts ten seconds with a nine-minute cooldown.
For the ten seconds it is active, it allows the hammer to absorb all surrounding mind, including magic attacks or from people the wielder targets and the more magic it absorbs, the larger and heavier it becomes.
In testing, the hammer reached a maximum length of 9.15 meters and 998 kg after absorbing all of Miquella's magic and 75% of mine, all over the span of ten seconds. Yes, it absorbed all of Miquella's and most of my magic in only ten fucking seconds, so most magical attacks directed at you would be drawn into the hammer and rendered useless.
Of course, it was balanced with a range of only 18.3 meters, which can be escaped quite easily by any high rank adventurers.
The third ability allows the hammer to release all stored magical energy upon impact with any solid surface, such as earth, ice, or stone, etc. This released energy comes out in a form of concussive force with no element, and you can't add an element to it.
It still hasn't been enchanted even once, so all its max length, weight, stored mind, absorption range can be increased. Maybe you would be able to add mind to the released energy at max enchantment, but not going to enchant it.
Now, why would I give away such an overpowered weapon? Wouldn't it be better to give him Basic Atlas Gauntlets? Sadly, I have maxed out that gauntlet and used it to forge a rare version that I can't give up.
Besides, it seems like weapons that absorb magic are 'common.' For example, my second sword is a maxed out uncommon that can absorb and store up to three elemental magic attacks and allow me to use them to buff myself or launch it as a form of ranged attack.
Then there is Phryne hammer, Tammuz chest-plate, and Miquella's crown.
I don't mind giving it away as a form of 'friendship.'
"Where are you going?" Amal asked Miquella as we entered the piazza, with a dressed all black Alice beside her. In the background, Aisha and Samira were brutally fighting each other, Lena trying to stop them, but Julius kept encouraging it.
"To look for a weapon shop where we can sell our things." Miquella simply replied, glancing at Samira, who threw pocket sand at Aisha's eyes then clocked the girl across the jaw. "Where are the guys?"
"Probably somewhere playing with each other." Amal released Alice and the silent girl walked towards me, "She seems to have taken a liking to you."
"Nuh-uh."
"Fuck you mean, 'nuh-uh?'" The woman pointed at the girl, "She is literally hugging your leg." The woman looked genuinely angry. "She never did that to me!"
"Well, we will be going." I pulled the little girl off my legs, setting her on her feet. "Find Felix and Tammuz and train with them."
"Sure, my queen." She performed a curtsy with her layered skirt as the three of us walked past, heading to the exit. "I can't wait for us to continue our training upon your return."
"Uh-huh." Yeah, you wish. When I come back, I am going into astral and going towards the Freya Familia home.
These past days I have been busy training these bum asses and caring for Ishtar like I was her father or something that I haven't gotten the chance to go on. Today is my day off, and no way I am returning to train her.
"BYE!" Aisha waved while stomping Samira's head onto the ground.
I nodded and so did Miquella, and we stepped out of the basilica and after a few more meters, we passed the domain barrier. Opening the map, I set the location to the Loki Familia and then picked the path that wouldn't take us through crowds.
"Six hours by foot." If we walk at the normal human walking speed. This is because the abandoned basilica was close to the southern wall of Orario, and with the Twilight Manor being close to the northern wall, this means we will have to walk through the entire city. "Why don't I just carry you two and run."
"No," Miquella patted my arm, walking to my right with the little girl to my left. "I want to walk around the city for half an hour. You can run after."
It didn't matter to me, but, "We will be mainly taking back allies." I'd rather not draw attention. I am already famous enough. 'Heh.' I am fucking famous.
I think? They might have forgotten about me with Evilus back at the rise.
After the attack on the Dian Cecht Familia, Evilus had tried to go after the Hephaestus and Goibniu Familia weapon shops and storage, but this had been expected, and they were swiftly handled by the Loki, Astraea, and Ganesha Familia. Since then, they had gone silent, putting everyone on edge.
Well, edge is an understatement. The city was on high alert with the large familia, especially Loki and Genesha having patrols around the city. Even the abandoned graveyard surrounding our familia basilica was being patrolled. More specifically, by the Freya Familia.
Why Freya? It's because of how close this area was to Folkvangr, the Freya Familia home. It was actually a one-hour walk east, or about three miles. If I ran at top speed, it would barely take me a minute to get there, and for that reason, this area is also part of their 'jurisdiction.' Though, as expected, they don't get too close to basilica.
[Roshan of Freya, Rank 3]
That's what was above the female sitting within the leafless crown of a rather large tree, but if I used the map and clicked her dot, then;

Mid-Rank 3, Main Stats: Agility
Difficulty: Mid]
It showed me more things after becoming a rank 1, but the most important thing was difficulty. Negative, None, Low, Mid, High, Extreme, and Suicide.
Negative basically means that the person is an ant to me. A simple stomp and they die. No retaliation whatsoever is possible. Most unblesses are considered negative in my radar, with none being the other unblessed with training or if they have some kind of weapon. Yes, it changes according to their 'visible' weapon and armor.
Someone like Amal is considered a mid-difficulty, however if I am geared in this world's gear—with no stats boost or extra skills—she becomes an extreme difficulty.
Two level jumps in difficulty?
What, you think I was skilled enough to take on a high level 4 while barely being a low level 3?
Shit, thanks for the fate you have in me.
But no, the stats difference between us is so overwhelming that she could literally 'blitz' me. Yeah, I am the best mortal weapon wielder on this planet, but it comes to a point where skills will just get stomped by raw stats. I didn't just wear the War Aspect Helm, or 'Pantheon Helm' for show.
I wore it because I needed it against her.
It gave me a skill called Instinct, the ability to always instantly identify 'the best personal course of action' during and only 'combat.' This was the only reason I could keep up and defeat Amal in all but our first training section where I caught her off guard.
Oberon too, but more for her, due to her speed. I can barely follow her during fights. No, barely is an understatement. I can't. Couldn't even notice a punch she threw at me when I first spat on her until it had hit. It could have knocked me out cold if I didn't have 'Earning of Vatos the Giant' on, but I digress.
The difficulty is based on the level and 'current equipped gear' of both me and the person I am looking at. That's why that mid-level 3 girl of Freya is considered a mid-difficulty, even though I am a low-level 3 from stats alone.
With my current equipped gear, the only people that would be considered a Suicide is... Well, all level 5 but Phryne is considered suicide. Even Miquella beside me is considered a suicide to fight. How? He doesn't have any combat based magic.
He does now. I had given him a normal grimoire, and he got a new magic. I know, why didn't I give him an overpowered grimoire with written spells? Well, out of my 9 written grimoires I have ever gotten, only one was 'overpowered.'
Shepherd.
The other were things like 'fireball,' 'Lord's Healing Aid,' or 'Dance of Tekisi,' so he decided to try his luck and read one random magic grimoire, and got a magic called 'pillar of light.' It has a long chant, but the moment it is cast on me, I am dead.
Dead as hell.
Without Rob blood armor, I would be completely incinerated, and even with it, I would be in a fatal state. He has never used it on me, but through something he calls 'Chant Calculation,' he could weaken the spell or change it from damaging to healing. Even a weakened version damaged me a lot, so the full powered version is a sure kill.
But for the days I haven't been in the dungeon, I haven't been slacking either.

I barely got any levels from killing almost a seventy Evilus members during fall of the Pleasure Quarter and my day seven dungeons due to the EXP reduction of picking the champion path, but it doesn't bother me much. After all, I will still be the fastest level person on this planet if I decided to go on a dungeon grind.
Now you might have noticed my four new skills. The one below monster hunter, crystal body, I got when I ate a Hellhound magic stone out of curiosity. I got a skill, but none, even after eating 30 more stones from different monsters. Guess I just got lucky.
It makes it harder for me to get burned. Putting my hand over a candle deals no damage to my skin, and I can even sit inside a large bonfire and only feel 'mild heat.' According to Miquella, my flame resistance is now superior to 'Salamander Wool,' though I would rather I'd gotten flame breath or something.
Area Crushing basically grants all my attacks a 'hit area,' or 'hit box.' When I throw a punch, Miquella said there is a 'sphere' around my fist and the stronger my attack, the larger the orb is. Even if you dodge my fist and this orb hit your cheek, it would feel like you had been punched by me on your cheek.
This AoE hit box applies to all held weapons. Slashing a sword, swinging a hammer, thrusting a spear, even whips and a simple tap now have a 'hit box.' However, projectiles like a thrown stone or a shot arro don't have hitbox.
Then there is the OP 'High-Speed Incantation.' When it said High-Speed, it really means high fucking speed. For example, the Nagjolinganda Dagger chant that would have taken me three days to finish would have been finished in 7 hours.
72 hours to 7 fucking hours.
A 1000% increase in chanting speed! Ten times for you that don't do percentage.
I had stopped because I didn't need to use it anytime soon, and then three days later, while I was doing my nightly meditation, the magic exploded in my face.
That's when I learned what an Ignis Fatuus was.
Hero Creation is vague, and what is said in my status is all it gave Ishtar and me. Well, apart from the information of, 'The one who makes King can't be a King, and for that, you forever lose the ability to gain excelia.'
Not that important.
And that's it for my new skill, as for the addition to my stats, it's due to the Rhapso Beginner Set for +16 strength, endurance and agility, and +10 in all stats. Cracked Nagjolinganda Crystal Dagger for +16 in all stats. Witches Ring +18 in magic because it started with +3 instead of +1 similar to 'Wizards Remnant Notes.' Earring of Vatos the Giant that gives +16 strength and endurance. Boots of Elvenkind that gives +18 in agility (started with +3). Barbarian underwear that gives +18 in strength and endurance. Mages Gloves that give +18 (+168) in dexterity. Glasses of Clear Sight that gives +16 in all stats. Finally, Cloak of Darkness, a rare that gives +30 in agility, and +30 in magic twice.
All of them but Cloak of Darkness is maxed out both in stats and skill.
Yeah, I am fucking packed full of common Enhancement and Enchantment stuff.
Witches' rings allow me to transform into either a cat, frog, bat, owl, rat, raven, spider, or goat. When transformed, all skill and magic but those 'game' related is sealed, and it consumes magic every millisecond to stay transformed. The consumed mind depends on what I am doing with the body like running, walking, eating or whatever. I can't regenerate my mind when transformed, so I can't stay in the form forever and after returning to being human, I have to wait 2 hours before transforming again.
Maxed out Vatos the Giant earring reduces blunt damage taken by 7% while granting me the skill to increase my size by '1.7' times. Height (meters) by 1.7 and mass (KG) by 1.7. I am currently 2.45 meters and 272 kg. You do the math.
Boots of Elvenkind, when worn by an elf, increase their magic by 100 levels, increase their movement speed by 15%, and increase 'charisma' by 'one grade.' I didn't get those bonuses, but I can use the active that consumes mind to silence all movement.
Barbarian underwear—hehe~I have been around kids going commando—gives me a physical damage reduction of 3% while increasing physical damage by 5%.
Mages Gloves increases magic by 150 levels in magic. Glasses of Clarity increases one's eyesight, granting Dark Vision, Minor Illusion Resistance—including but not limited to CHARM!—and its active allows me to see like superman.
I will leave it at that.
Then there is 'Cloak of Darkness'—"Oh," I looked towards the sky as dark clouds began to roll in. "It's about to rain." And the clouds were moving in really fast like it was being rushed. "We should run to not get wet."
"Um, actually," Miquella raised one finger, "Studies show you actually get wetter by running in the rain."
[...]
"..."
I stared down at the elf that just continued walking like nothing had happened. "I just felt an irritable urge to rape you, and I am not Oberon." Then the rain started falling.
[Blood.]
"Just use your magic, lil bro." Miquella spoke, glancing up at me.
"Who are you calling lil bro—!" Oh...
This guy is 69 years older than I am.
"That's right, lil bro." His golden eyes glowed, his face remaining emotionless. ["Use your magic before I get wetter, lil bro."]
"..." Respect your elders, my father always said. "Ok, grandpa." I noticed he clenched his jaw. "Let me just bring out this magic for poor old grandpa." His eyes became intense as the rain became heavier, slamming into my bald scalp like falling stones. "The heavy rain will surely break your brittle bone, old man."
"I hereby call upon the Light of—"
"Woah!" I covered his mouth, "No need to go that far, grand—" Nope. "Young blood." I smiled, "Why don't I use my magic?"
With that, we came to a compromise, and he sent me the calculation and then a dome of simmering blue, pink, and some purple appeared around us. It stopped the rain from hitting us, but not air or the smell of the rain, a calculation I would have not been able to pull off on my own. Yes, I am getting better with calculation due to my nightly meditation, but it would take years to reach his level if I don't get the required skill.
"Let's return to our own thoughts." I moved my hand from his mouth as we continued walking.
What was I thinking again? Ah, yes, 'Cloak of Darkness.' This rare cloak is a—
*Splat*
I felt something splash on my face. '...' Puddle water.
The repugnance, dirt ridden, water that puddled up in this back ally just splashed on my fucking handsome face.
[You're not handsome, lil bro.]
"Shut the fuck up!" I turned to the perpetrator, "You half-cast!"
"Like you are one to talk," Miquella's eyes turned to me, "Now why would you shout 'shut up' to the air and then call me a half-caste."
I pointed at my face. "You did this!"
"Nuh-uh."
"'Nuh-uh.' Nuh-uh!?" This old man is testing my fucking patience. "You saw that shit right, ROB!?"
[I ain't see shit, lil bro.]
"ARG!" It fucking entered my mouth. "You want to play—!?" His hand blurred and something entered my mouth.
*HRRK TUA,* I spat on the ground to see a half-eaten Burger, and next to it was the piece that was bitten off and also spat on the ground.
"Damn, lil bro. Are you that hungry?"
[I'm saying. Bro acting like we don't have food at home.]
"Two vs. ONE!?" Nah, this is wild, "Oh, god what is this white sticky stuff flowing from my mouth?!" ... No...
It can't be...
[... Ok, bro, calm down...]
"Take a deep breath, Noah."
"With this treasure, I summon," I extended both arms forward at a slight upward angle with fists closed. "World Shaker, Herald of Annihilation,"
[YO BRO!]
"STOP!"
"TSAR BOMB—"
"What's wrong, child?" A voice as smooth as silver pulled me from the depths of my darkening thoughts, calming my insatiable rage almost instantly. "What terrified you?"
I blinked, startled, my eyes shifting to see who had spoken. All I saw was a figure cloaked in black, covered from head to toe, now squatting before Miquella. The rain poured heavily around us, my gravity barrier long gone, leaving the two of us soaked, yet none seemed to drop on her.
The woman kept her face lowered, hidden beneath her hood. I couldn't make out her features, just the shadow cast by the heavy fabric. But Miquella—he looked at her as though she was a...
Monster...
Then she turned her head slightly, her eyes finally meeting mine from beneath the dark hood. Her gaze was like a piercing light with impossibly bright silver eyes framed by the shadow of her cloak. They were mesmerizing—no, more than that.
They were everything.
The most beautiful thing I'd ever seen.
An overwhelming joy bubbled up inside me, completely at odds with the fear that clenched my chest—
[Pain Breaker]
'... Charm! Fucking CHARM!' My glasses did NOTHING!
And above this bitch's head was a red name;
[Freya]
Oh, my everything.
[...]
I wanted to smile, to laugh even.
To be in her presence felt like an honor, like a warmth I had never known. But beneath that enchantment was a deeper fear. I knew, instinctively, that I was nothing to her.
A fleeting thought, easily discarded.
Why would an ant be notable in God's eyes?
I am just lucky to be in her presence.
"Is this creature," she began as my dick began to harden, "that caused your fear?"
She rose from her squatting position, her full height seeming to tower over me. I saw a shadow stepped closer, its massive form holding the umbrella over her, shielding her from the relentless downpour, but that shadow didn't matter.
All that mattered was this God in front of me.
The cloak shifted as she moved, a glimpse of her bare arm visible for just a moment—a glimpse that sent my heart racing.
My throat went dry, and I tried to speak, but her eyes held me in place. I felt my knees grow weak, my heart pounding in my chest. She was beautiful—no, beauty itself, something beyond human comprehension.
She is the heavens itself.
"You should be happy," she said, her voice almost a whisper, though it reached me clearly even through the storm. "Happy that you were able to be in his presence. Happy that, for just a moment, you mattered." Her smile was hidden beneath the shadow of her hood, but I could feel it—
She was smiling at me.
[BODY!]
[GIVE ME BODY!!]
"Castrate," Her voice rang,
[BLOOOD!!!]
[Pain breaker. Pain breaker! PAIN BREAKER!]
"Yoursel—"
"Freya!" Miquella's voice came as he reached out to grab her hands and Freya froze like a deer caught in a headlight.
How dare you! How dare you stop my goddess from talking to me. How DARE you touch my HEART!
You shrimp.
I will END YOUR MEASLY EXISTENCE.
TSAR!
[YES! NUKE THIS SHIT!]
BOM—
"Ye-yes?" Freya stuttered quickly, turning back as he turned back to Miquella, quickly squatting to meet his eyes. "Wh-what is it, my dear?"
Oh, she sounds happy? I can't kill him now.
[YOU NIGGER!]
"I was the cause of my own fear," He spoke quickly, "Not this man, but my own self caused it."
"Re-really?" She asked, not even looking at me. "This man still targeted his rage towards you, so I, no, WE should end—"
"NO!" Miquella shouted, causing Freya to flinch, and then he quickly controlled his voice. "He is my guard, and I can't go anywhere without him."
"He is only level four." Freya whispered. "I can give you my executive. No, Ottar can be your guard!" She turned back to the giant, "Right, Ottar, boy."
"Yes, goddess." His tone was low. Extremely.
"See!" She returned her attention to Miquella. "What is a level four to Ottar? He can take on all the second class adventurers in this city and win. You don't need this monkey beside you."
"I can't take your guard, goddess." Miquella tried to reason, "You need him more than I do." Before she could utter a word, he quickly spoke, "Besides, he is the captain of my Familia. I can't have him dying."
Those words brought silence.
A long, drawn out silence.
[Pain breaker.]
I allowed Rob possession of my body and everything went silent.
I just floated in the void, sitting in complete darkness and silence. 'I hope it doesn't do anything dum.' Haah. I should have expected those glasses to be weak against the full powered charm of an angry goddess...
I called her a capital 'G.'
Haah...
I just continued floating in the void, and since I still had access to the game, I decided to continue where I was before. So, 'Cloak of Darkness'—
"We can leave now," Miquella's voice came.
Let me FINISH!
I 'opened' my eyes to find Elred standing in front of me, holding my wrist. Quickly, I opened my map to see Freya was moving away. I didn't need to click to know that the only two close dots around us were Ottar and his goddess. No, those two were the only other people around beside me and the elf.
"I made her go." He sighed, looking down. "Fuck." For the first time, he cursed. "Why did I catch her attention? What did I do that made my soul good in her opinion? Why?"
"Miquella was always the most beautiful femboy, so I guess it carried over." I patted his head, "She wants your little dick."
"I don't want my dick in her pussy." He started crying, his tears sticking down his face. "I just want to retire soon, not be forced to be the husband of a mad goddess."
"At least you got someone that loves you." I forced him to turn around, pushing him to keep walking, "Just turn that love-struck goddess into a slave that sucks your toe or something."
"I don't want no one sucking my toes!" He shouted as I patted his back, "I just want to retire, lil bro."
"Wait, there is someone behind us." I noticed a green dot on the map, but it was alone, so it shouldn't be Freya. "Don't look back while I check who it—"
["WHO!"] Miquella roared into my mind as he turned around.
[Goddess Freya of the Freya Familia]
[Your 'eyes' have been noticed.]
And he turned back after I said not to.
He FUCKING TURNED BACK!
This little Nigga TURNED BACK!
WHY!?
ARE YOU DEAF!?
"Waaa~" Miquella started crying. "Don't get mad at me."
"Come on, old man," She stopped following us and a green dot, I assume is Ottar, was now suddenly beside her. I didn't even register his movement on the map. "She stopped following us."
"I just want to retire. WAAAA!" He cried, "Why not you! Why not your fucking SOUL!"
"I am not special, bro."
"YOU ARE!" He glared up at me, "You had a will strong enough to turn this fucking world into a game! A-and whenever I try to look into your past, I get blocked harder than I do when I try to read a gods…" he froze, rea"Your soul is shielded,"
I shrugged. "More or less." Foreigner, I guess.
"WHY!?" He grabbed my pants, tears flowing down his eyes. "Why would a god use their Arcanum to shield your soul and your past! Why not do it to me." He almost fell to his knees, "I j-just want to retire…"
"We know, Unc."
He froze. "???" I looked down at the boy. "What's wrong, Unc?"
"Junior," His eyes turned to me, blazing golden, "You dare!!??"
"What did I do?"
[You done fucked up.]
WARRRA DO!
"You dare call me UNC!"
"…"
~~~~~~~~~Author's Note~~~~~~~~~~
I had to delete and re-write this chapter almost four times. The first time, 4000 words were just system, system, item, item, guild, etc and I almost fell asleep editing it so I was like, Ain't no one going to read this shit! So I deleted it and rewrote it, then it became an hot mess. So I deleted, rewrote, and it lost its 'essence.'
It was too fucking serious.
So I settled with this one. It isn't even what I planned in mind, but I think this is good. I hope the wait was worth it. Also, next chapter and this one were supposed to be ONE chapter of 9500 words but even I lost interest reading a chapter that long without seeing a 'New Chapter' header on google docs.
