Chapter 14: Chapter 14 - Middle Floors
Early in the morning, the Abandoned Church was deserted.
Knowing she was going to be a free boss, Hestia was all over it.
Before Aston even set off, she had vanished, probably off to Babel Tower.
Aston was slightly amused by this but didn't dwell on it too much. After gearing up, strapping on the armor, and leaving the swords on the side, he headed towards Babel.
Today, Aston planned to go directly to the middle floors.
Immediately fill up the Great Achievement and upgrade the Status.
With his current strength, mingling in the Middle Floors was a piece of cake.
Just like Aston analyzed before.
Even though his status is still at lv.1, his body's stats are already at lv.2. Entering the Middle Floors is a walk in the park.
Yesterday on the ninth floor, the new shadow monsters posed zero threat.
Analyzing the strength changes of monsters on various floors, Aston could estimate the middle floor's monster strength.
Even if he can't handle them, he's got the backup of the Fire Ring, plus Excalibur and Avalon. Two aces up his sleeve.
Both the Fire Ring and Excalibur consume mana, and mana was what Aston was least worried about.
His mana could instantly recover, and he wasn't afraid of using it however he pleased.
After topping up on potions in Babel, Aston went straight back to the dungeon and entered through the spiral stairs.
Start where he stopped.
Entering the dungeon, Aston made a beeline for the tenth floor.
Having stopped at the ninth floor yesterday, today he's starting from the tenth.
Floor by floor, until Minotaur's floor appears.
By then, his level should have increased by two or three, and his strength will undoubtedly have a substantial boost, making him more confident in the middle floors.
Even the Monster Feast of Minotaur would pose no threat to him.
An hour passed, and Aston reached the tenth floor again.
The tenth floor is a natural armory for the maze, with a lot of things that monsters can use as weapons. The main monsters on this floor are half-beasts, among others.
Even though weapons could be obtained anytime and anywhere, the monsters on this floor still couldn't threaten Aston.
He roamed freely in the foggy and vast space of the tenth floor, as if he was in his backyard.
By the way, except for the Imp's experience points, which are the same as the monsters on the previous floors, half-beasts give fifty percent more.
previous floors, and the orc's experience value is half much more.
"Ding!! Imp was killed, get 10 Experience Points!!!"
"Ding!! Orc was killed, get 15 Experience Points!!!"
"Ding!! Consecutively used the Sharingan, gained 10 Sharingan experience points!!!"
"Ding!!..."
The appearance rate of monsters on the tenth floor is much faster than the previous floors, almost half of the previous floors, and the number of monsters appearing at a time is not more than the previous floors, but the advantage is their fast frequency, and monsters almost keep coming.
Before Aston could finish off the monsters that appeared earlier, more monsters were slowly approaching from behind.
His mind was constantly filled with the system's prompt sounds.
Soon, after an hour, Aston leveled up again.
"Ding!! The Experience Bar is full. Host level has been improved. Host level is 9!!!"
"Ding!! Congratulations to the Host for upgrading. Rewarding the Host with Requip Magic!!!"
"Huh? Requip magic?" Ignoring the changes in his body, Aston was attracted by the new reward.
Requip, the magic of Titania, Erza Scarlet, in Fairy Tale. It's to open a space and store the equipment and weapons in it.
Take it out when you want to use it and the equipment will automatically be put on your body which is very convenient.
This is indeed a nice magic.
After all, you can have your equipment on at any time.
With a slight thought, Aston's armor instantly disappeared.
At the same time, Aston could feel the existence of a space, and his armor was now in that space, ready to be summoned with just a thought.
As he did, with his summon, a golden light shone on him.
The next moment, Aston's armor appeared on him again.
"It's so convenient!!!" Aston said to himself as he looked at the armor on his body.
While he was testing the Requip magic, the Orcs around him had already approached to within two meters of him.
The Orcs swung their stone weapons and simultaneously smashed towards Aston.
Seeing this, Aston frowned slightly.
The next moment, a flame halo appeared around him, instantly spreading out.
As mentioned before, all the Orcs turned into ashes, leaving only magic stone fragments falling from the sky.
After wiping out the Orcs surrounding Aston, the flame halo didn't vanish. Instead, it kept spreading out, clearing the way for the monsters approaching Aston.
As the flame halo swept through, piercing screams echoed throughout the space.
Aston paid no attention to it and started picking up magic stone from the ground.
Since he's leveled up, it's only natural to head to a new floor and take down stronger monsters. Staying on the same floor would mean getting fewer experience points.
Soon, Aston picked up all the magic stone fragments scattered on the ground.
A big bag of magic stone, heavy as heck, didn't really sit well around his waist.
After some pondering, Aston directly threw the magic stone into the system space.
Then, he finally checked his system attributes.
