Chapter 92: Chapter 92: The Fall

At the staircase connecting the 51st and 52nd floors, members of the Loki Familia were taking a brief respite. As they gazed at the stairs leading down to the 52nd floor, a palpable sense of trepidation filled their eyes.

"From this point on, everyone must pay close attention to their condition. The path ahead will likely offer no further opportunities for resupply," Finn cautioned. Those in the know nodded slightly. The preceding 51st floor hadn't presented significant challenges, so their current state was well-maintained.

"Since that's the case, let's go!" With that, Finn led the group onto the stairs. Looking at the Loki Familia members with tense expressions, Tsubaki, who was unaware of the situation, showed a suspicious look.

Following closely behind Finn and Shirou, she tugged at Shirou and asked, "Is there some strange mechanism on this 52nd floor?"

"There are no mechanisms, but deadly monster attacks are everywhere. Master Tsubaki, you must remember, do not stop moving on the road ahead." After saying that, Shirou, who was on alert, stopped speaking. After all, he carried a heavy burden right now. As for whether Tsubaki's lack of information about the 52nd floor would pose any danger, Shirou could only say that under Finn's leadership, she would absolutely not get into trouble. As for the information, she would learn it herself soon enough. What he needed to do now was observe the surrounding environment.

The combat environment below the 52nd floor was generally dark, which significantly impacted the Loki Familia. However, Shirou, possessing Clairvoyance, could perceive everything clearly.

Immunity to environmental effects on vision

This ability from Clairvoyance allowed Shirou to see clearly even in pitch darkness, let alone dim environments. Therefore, Shirou, as an information observer, bore a heavy responsibility.

As the group stepped into the territory of the 52nd floor, the Loki Familia members began to run. "Try to avoid combat; just knock the monsters away!" Finn continuously gave instructions. Shirou, too, was constantly searching for monsters hidden in the shadows, calling out their positions to prevent surprise attacks. Here, the monsters' spawn rate and frequency remained incredibly high.

However, the group at this moment dared not linger in battle; the primary goal for all encountered monsters was to simply knock them away. The only consistent damage output came from Shirou's arrows. Yet, everyone's strength was immense, and seizing an enemy's weakness to instantly eliminate them was commonplace. Thus, as the group continuously pushed forward, monsters constantly fell.

On the ground, magic stones and dropped items were scattered everywhere. Looking at the dropped items on the ground, Tsubaki, though she wanted to pick them up, kept hearing Shirou's words echoing in her ears: "Do not stop moving on the road ahead." Thinking of this, Tsubaki suppressed her desire and continued to run swiftly with the group. Soon, she noticed something unusual. The supporters around her were all desperately trying to keep up with the pace of the First-Class Adventurers.

From each of their faces, Tsubaki could see a full sense of crisis. Even Gareth, running at the very back, was constantly urging everyone to keep moving forward. In the team, no one spoke, holding their breath, with only the sound of their footsteps echoing in their ears. Constantly outrunning the monsters' roars, a peculiar atmosphere enveloped this small squad.

Just then, an ominous roar came from afar. It was the roar of a dragon! The roar of the King of Monsters bit at their ears. Tsubaki knew what kind of roar it was, but within her sensory range, there were no enemies.

"Finn!" Hearing Riveria's call, Finn nodded slightly.

"We've been caught!" Upon Finn's confirmation, a killing aura immediately enveloped the group.

"Run, run!" The urging voices constantly echoed in their ears, and everyone's speed increased even further. The supporters, who had already found it extremely difficult to keep up, now struggled even more. Their faces were all pale, as if they would die any second.

"It's coming!" The keenly perceptive Ais immediately reminded everyone.

"Bete, change direction!" Hearing Finn's command, Bete, running at the very front, immediately changed his direction, breaking away from the regular path and rushing to a side fork.

The next instant, the ground exploded. A violent fire erupted upwards, instantly destroying everything around. A gigantic pillar of fire rose from the ground, piercing straight up through the entire floor.

"This is too exaggerated!" It's important to know that the 52nd floor, where Shirou and his companions currently were, was far larger than the area of Orario, and also several tens of meters high. From the 58th floor where the bombardment originated to their current 52nd floor, several floors spanned hundreds of meters. Yet, such a height was instantly pierced through. This power was probably only slightly inferior to Excalibur. But for those creatures below, such an attack was just a normal one!

"Indeed, the power scaling in this world is just too high!" If compared to adventurer levels, a Level 10 adventurer should be equivalent to a God-tier being. This means that those Level 8 and Level 9 existences, each possessing near-God-tier combat power. As they delved deeper into the Dungeon, the monsters' strength would only increase. The thought of floors in the deep parts of the Dungeon potentially spawning countless LV.7+ monsters sent shivers down Shirou's spine.

According to Shirou's estimation, an LV.6 adventurer's combat power was already no weaker than a first-rate Servant. Even an existence like Riveria would undoubtedly be top-tier, or even "broken," in a Holy Grail War. It's important to know that neither High-Class Victorias nor Fimbulvetr were her strongest magic. With her setup, if she were truly ruthless and disregarded the lives of ordinary people, she could absolutely destroy Fuyuki City along with the Heroic Spirits within it.

Without time to lament the enemy's strength, Shirou followed the group, constantly dodging attacks from below. At the same time, an endless stream of monsters relentlessly assaulted them. This made their situation increasingly difficult.

"It doesn't matter if we attract the larval-type monsters, Riveria, quickly use defensive magic."

"…[Resound—Convey our wishes (voices), Forest Robe!]"

Constantly running and fighting. Shirou intensely shot at distant monsters, and also continuously bombarded distant monster groups with Broken Phantasm, relieving pressure on the front-liners who were clearing the path.

Just as the group once again dodged a fiery breath attack from below, Lefiya's voice suddenly came from behind them: "Raul, get away!"

Instantly turning around, Shirou witnessed a scene that filled him with rage. To save Raul, Lefiya pushed him away, but her own arm became entangled by the silk from a deformed spider on the side, pulling her away.

"Die!" A furious Shirou instantly eliminated the spider with an arrow, but Lefiya, who had been pulled away, fell into a cave on the side. It was a straight passage blasted open by a monster's breath, piercing through several floors.

"Lefiya!" Seeing Lefiya fall into the vertical passage, Shirou quickly rushed over and leapt into the vertical passage as well.
